Located on Lake Wylie in the newly developed McLean South Shore, Drift on Lake Wylie is a chef-inspired lakeside chophouse. At the forefront of the Lake Wylie dining scene, our food is simple and seasonal—home to prime cuts of beef, local seafood, and homemade pasta. Whether you join us for dinner, pop by the bustling bar for a quick bite, or book one of our private dining rooms for a special dinner or cocktail party, we look forward to serving you soon.

I came for my birthday with my fiancé and this was an AMAZING experience! The food, service, our waitress Britt was phenomenal and really catered to our celebration. Our dinner choices were blackened oysters, shrimp cocktail, rib eye, scallops, mushrooms, brussel sprouts , duck fat confit potatoes, lobster and margarita cheese cake and Dulce Dolce mousse cake 🎉. Thank you Drift on Lake Wylie for making my 45th a birthday a meal to remember.

We are Drift frequenters. The Father’s Day Prix Fixe was nice. The dulce de lèche dessert was certainly notable! Thank you!

Beautiful space on the lake, so the ambience was definitely there. We went for fathers day so they had a curated 3 course menu which was okay. My husband got the pork belly burnt ends (2 pieces along with a slaw), Brisket hash, and a mouse cake (delicious). I received lobster bisque (which was okay and small portion), followed by shrimp and grits, and then a cheesecake (which was very delicious). Kids menu could've been better as there wasn't many options for sides and my daughter just stuck to the parmesan macaroni (she said it was good). I do plan to visit another time because I wanted to try the true restaurant menu as we were limited to the fathers day course. For the price, I expected more compared to other restaurants.

Visited for Fathers Day fixed menu, so options were limited we were ok with that. Given a small menu, both drinks and food took quite a while to come out. Our server didn’t know the menu well enough to be able to confirm if mushrooms could be held from a dish, so due to time I selected another option. When my entree finally arrived, I had to wait for more utensils, they were taken and not replaced with my app plate. The watermelon and feta salad was delicious! Chicken and waffles yummy as well. We requested our desserts to go. Food was really good, service needs to be elevated.

We had a wonderful time at The Drift for their Father's Day brunch! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right blend of relaxed and upscale. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the meal. The food was absolutely delicious—each dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The variety at the brunch was impressive, with something to please every palate. Whether you're a fan of classic breakfast favorites or looking to try something new, The Drift delivered. It was the perfect spot to celebrate Father's Day—great vibes, great service, and even better food. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a casual weekend outing. We’ll definitely be back!

Not our favorite experience but hopefully that’s only because of the price fixed menu for Father’s Day. We raved about the food and our previous experience to friends which is why we chose Drift and it was quite disappointing. Food was subpar, as was the service.
