Located on Lake Wylie in the newly developed McLean South Shore, Drift on Lake Wylie is a chef-inspired lakeside chophouse. At the forefront of the Lake Wylie dining scene, our food is simple and seasonal—home to prime cuts of beef, local seafood, and homemade pasta. Whether you join us for dinner, pop by the bustling bar for a quick bite, or book one of our private dining rooms for a special dinner or cocktail party, we look forward to serving you soon.

Located 8 minutes south of Belmont off South New Hope Road and North of Lake Wylie just off Pole Branch Road.

    Please join us on Wednesday, May 21st at 6:30 PM for an evening featuring tequila from Don Gato, a company owned by renowned actor Danny McBride. Enjoy a specially crafted 4-course meal by Executive Chef Jesse Szymanski, paired with tequila-based cocktails. The menu is priced at $70++ per guest; this price does not include a 4% special event service fee, 18% gratuity, or tax. This guided experience will be led by a representative from Don Gato, and seating will be communal. A credit card hold is required to secure the reservation, and payment will be collected after the meal.

    What a great experience , location , food and service . I’m not a desert guy but the Tiramisu ? Is the best I ever had . It’s a must and I would go there just for Tiramisu

    My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary which was noted on the reservation. I had no idea they would go above and beyond in the manner that they did. This made the evening more special. Upon arrival they greeted us and congratulated us. There were rose petals on our table. We received wine for a toast, and of course the food was amazing. Our view was overlooking Lake Wylie as if we were sitting outdoors. Our waitress (Haley) was very attentive as well. At the end we received a complimentary dessert with a candle. The managers came by as well to congratulate us. Thank you so much for making the evening special and memorable!

    It was our first time dining at Drift. We waited over 15 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation. Service was very slow. One of our appetizers never showed. Steaks were undercooked and dinner was cold. We were never given an explanation why the service was so slow. When I complained the manager just took the appetizer we didn’t receive and one steak off our bill. We were there for 2 hours and had a horrible experience. We will not go back to Drift again.

    My teenager wanted to tip the chef directly. This is now on her list of favorite restaurants. Appetizers, mains, desserts were all excellent!

    Went to Drift for Easter brunch and their prix fixed menu. The selections were great. The ambience was too with sitting on the indoor/outdoor upper deck level with a view of the marina. Service was very attentive and friendly!

    Once seating our experience was good, but we waited 35 min with a reservation so that was quite frustrating. We watched multiple parties (~20 people overall) walk in after us and be seating while we waited.
