People come from near and far to eat, drink and bliss out at Scottish Thistle Award winning Drift, a unique coffee house with breathtaking views over unspoilt miles of Firth of Forth coast and the Bass Rock. Drift is perfect for walkers, cyclists, day trippers and tourists (we’re half a mile away from Tantallon Castle) and very popular with locals too. Everything is freshly made, and, as a farm diversification business born out of a passion for food and drink, we love strengthening the connections between the land, sea and the table.

We really enjoyed our most recent trip to Drift, it’s one of our favourite cafés. The sea views are just stunning, the food is scrumptious and the service is impeccable. My one wish would be to have disabled parking spaces put in and the car park resurfaced. The current rocky surface is difficult for wheeled mobility aids.

this is a gorgeous place to enjoy the amazing views and we loved sitting right over the sea and watching the waves . We weren't impressed with the food and for the money it should be better

We had another lovely visit to Drift to celebrate my birthday. Had one of the best tables at the window. The team were very welcoming & the food was delicious. I tried the Thai Fish Burger & it was so good. I like that the menu changes regularly - keeping some favourites but bringing in new specials to try. It got quite busy for a while as the van was closed outside so takeaway food was being ordered inside, but all dealt with quickly & didn’t disturb us. The sun was shining, the views were amazing & the food was great. What more could you want.

Although we had pre-booked, there was no reserved table for us and 3 of us were seated at a table for two. We could barely get three plates on it for lunch. This was an 80th birthday treat for me. The older waitress was not friendly. Food was good and view spectacular.

Booked in advance for Sunday morning breakfast at 9:30, good decision it was very busy with people queuing before opening time and weather made sitting outside impossible. Direct sea view was breathtaking, could have stayed all day! Service was polite and prompt, the food was very good quality and value for money - local produce too which is always a bonus. The only downside was the table itself was quite small with three of us unable to fit plates and drinks comfortably, solved by taking saucers from hot drinks away - understand that space is limited inside and grateful that tables weren't too close together so it's only a minor point. Pre-book to enjoy the this place at it's best, will defo be back!

Beautiful views, food was nice. But expensive and not a relaxed atmosphere. Loud, wobbly table. If it was a nice day getting food from the van and sitting outside would be more enjoyable
