   My wife and I went here for our anniversary in from out of town, and it was an amazing experience! The food was top notch, the drinks were not lacking, and our server and the hosts did an excellent job, being attentive to our reason for celebrating, as well as just being great in general. This is a more upscale place, so it’s not cheap, but I would definitely be back for any future special occasions. The only negative I could give would be for the surrounding area and parking situation, but it was a holiday weekend, and rowdy crowds are kinda to be expected - not a knock against Drift at all. Anyway, a stellar experience all around!

   First time we have eaten there and we will be back! The food was amazing! The view is spectacular! Though everything we had was top notch I have to say the collards were the best I’ve ever tasted! The chef even came out to our table to tell us what was in them because it was such a unique amazing taste I couldn’t work it out!

   I have been to Drift several times, but this was the first time for brunch. As with dinner, the food was delicious, but we did find it comes out a little slow. For a romantic dinner, that actually works out well, but we had brunch including 3 children and the kids got a little impatient. Maybe the lesson was we should take our kids somewhere a little more oriented to kids...our mistake. Regardless, the adults had a wonderful time. Creative drink menu, delicious wines, food was all wonderful with options that are classic (eggs benedict) to creative dishes (Elvis themed cinnamon roll), plus friendly wait staff with beautiful views of the beach (indoor and outdoor seating options). We will be back yet again, for sure, just probably sans-kids next time.

    The food, service and ambiance was above reproach. Hunter (the server) was helpful, attentive and friendly. My only qualm was when I received the bill and it showed a credit card payment charge. Hunter didn't know what it was either-he needed to check with someone to see what it was. My wife and I dine out all the time-3to4 times weekly at high-end restaurants (such as Drift) as well as more moderate establishments. We live in Atlanta, so we are aware of expensive eating. My complaint is an additional charge for using credit card for payment. I have not had that before. If you need to charge an extra $6 on a $175 bill without letting me know in advance, then I consider that a problem.

    You dine at the adrift for the location and the view… the food and the value are ok. This was our second visit. The first time dined there, it felt like they had an off night. My wife’s fish was over cooked and there as someone else’s lip stick on her glass. Again, not earth ending, but not great. I took her there last night for Mother’s Day. Again, one of the best all around views of Pensacola Beach for dinner. Just like the time before, food was… ok. My son got the Duck and we were not sure if part of a finger nail was in his food or it was some part of the duck. It was very small and we were not sure. My son kinda stopped eating it. It was our fault for not saying anything. I am sure the staff would have fixed it if we did say something. So over all, it’s an “ok” place it go. Expect to spend a lot of money. Not a big deal if you know this ahead of time. Our bill was $300 (with tax and tip) for 5 people (we do not drink alcohol, so expect it be be more if you do). Again, DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU THINK IT WILL BE CHEAP! I knew this well ahead of time. Cost was not an issue for us. Why go to the Drift? The view and the service are great. If you want better value for your money, go to The Grand Marlin. Will I eat at The Drift again? Not if it is on our own. If we get invited to a work dinner or it’s a place other people want to meet, sure. Again, not a bad place. But You’d expect better for the cost.

    Food was great. As good as it was the Mother’s Day brunch was too expensive. While all other beach restaurants were packed Drift was rather empty. $100 for one which included a few very shallowly poured glasses of brunch champagne was not worth the money. Although the view is amazing as well. This price is though for families.

    My second time getting the filet mignon. I ordered medium rare and it came out overcooked quite a bit. Almost brown throughout. I would have liked it better for $60 if it was cooked properly. It was perfect on my last visit. All in all a great place and good vibe.

    We very much enjoyed Drift. Warning, it is pricy. But it is worth the experience for a special occasion. We went for our anniversary. The food was absolutely fantastic! The menu was eclectic with a nice selection. I had the grouper ceviche appetizer and the sea bass entre. Both were very flavorful without being overly spiced or seasoned. I was able to taste the food without covering it up. The service was good but not great. It was slow at times but I chalked it up to the kitchen taking its time to create the fine food creations. With that mindset, the wait was acceptable. Then the ambiance. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building with an open balcony as its main dining room. It did have inside seating as well with an open view. The view was of Pensacola Beach as far as the eye could see. There was a cool breeze coming off of the water. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The noise level was a little elevated due to the Casino Beach Bar on the first level. But all in all, we had a fantastic time and the food was top notch. I would love to go more frequently but it is pricy.

    4 of us for dinner last night. Great views and wonderful service. Relaxing atmosphere on the patio. Service was not rushed and we were able to enjoy our time. The martinis were great. The lumpias were so-so. I had the YUCATAN GROUPER and it was over cooked and dry on the edges. My husband had the Flounder and it was way over seasoned. My brother in law had the scallops. They were good but 3 scalops and a little sald for $54. We do not mind paying well for food that is good. We spent well over $550 for the 4 of us. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money for just OK food. Although the service was great, it didn't make up for the mediocre Chef and kitchen staff. I dont think we'll be back. Pensacola in general needs to up their food game.

    Made a reservation, had to wait on our table! Ordered our food and the salad and soup came out at the same time our entree. I had called ahead to make plans to pay for my friends birthday dinner and they didn’t take care of that! Beautiful restaurant, but not great service and the food is ok!

    Had a great experience. Requested a 2 top outside by the rails overlooking the Gulf and they did indeed reserve a table for us. Food was excellent but took a while. The manager came by and apologized and gave us an appetizer. Waitress was attentive. Been there several times and this was the best food and experience. Will return.

    Food was excellent. Our server was great but she was spread thin, many tables. No one approached the table for too long once we were seated and then a long wait for drinks. We ordered as soon as we were able and the food came out in a timely manner. Ordered dessert also but they brought the check before we were served the dessert. They did have a large party in the back…. Maybe that was part of the problem.

    Our server was fantastic!! He worked so hard to make the brunch a good experience. Parking was terrible on a Sunday ( which I know you have no control over), however that is probably why they were not busy. There were no drink specials to bring people in?? Maybe try bottomless champagne?? Lower price of the bloody mary from $6.00 to $3.00 to compete with other places there on beach. The food-- I had the ham and brie sandwich. Ham was very fatty. and too much of the fig jam on sandwich. French fries did not seem like duck fat fries?? and not crispy. My friends had the Brunch burger and said meat patty was small and bun was stale. The over-price of the eggs benedict the portion was very small and nothing special. The fruit and yogurt was delicious!! Hope this review will help improve the restaurant. It is a beautiful view and place to enjoy a meal. It was clean and workers were very friendly and accommodating. I would like to come back and try it again.

    We picked this place for our anniversary dinner due to its prime location on the beach and their upscale menu. Our server Sara was perfectly attentive and helpful. We chose the feature appetizer of fried soft shell crab, and for entrees we had the swordfish and duck. All of them were delicious, nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. We both especially loved the swordfish which was moist and meaty. I ordered the duck cooked medium and it was perfect. Our only disappointment was the duck fat fries, which we ordered as an extra side. They looked and tasted quite ordinary. I was hoping for hand cut fries with a rich fatty flavor. Although it was a breezy evening, we chose to sit outside and enjoyed the views and fresh air. We will definitely return and maybe sit inside to enjoy the wonderful decor and a possibly better view of the sunset.
