Birthday Celebration... Great view, vibe, wait staff and the food was wonderful. I had the Cuban Seabass (will hope to have it again). Two others had breakfast entree's and one other had the chicken salad - the chicken had a LOT of salt (only down side). Drinks were very good as well (bloody mary's and mimosas..
Enjoyed a delicious meal last night…shrimp chowder and Chilean sea bass. Great service!! Caleb, our server, was prompt, attentive, and personable!! We had one issue with the kitchen and Caleb quickly resolved it. Great place for special occasions.
The service was wonderful. Food was delicious, though my steak was a bit salty. Otherwise everything was delicious and we very much enjoyed our dinner.
We had a great experience as first- timers! Can’t wait to return for the seafood tower! And our waitress Sara was awesome :)
Excellent fare & service. Same holds true for cocktails & wine list.
Always good food and drink. Service by Patrick was extra special!
Their menu was not the same as it stated online. They were out of three of the few brunch options they offered. Substitutions we’re not allowed as they pre make many dishes. The music was live which seems nice but it was so loud our server had to yell the specials at us. My guest and I were not able to retain what she had just read off to us due to this distraction- mind you we were the youngest patrons. However, they did have an amazing wine selection. We grabbed a drink and went else where.
We have been to drift several times and sat outside. The view is amazing, a fun place for out of town guests.
The one thing we notice every time is the conflicting music with the downstairs restaurant. We can hear two different songs playing at the same noise level, and it gets distracting hearing music playing over each other. The vibe doesn't seem too different to where you couldn't play the same music for both restaurants.
Great tourist spot with amazing views of the beach/pier.
Brunch was great. We did have some weather blow up. Unfortunately some of the deck wind and weather shades were not functioning. They offered a table inside but we decided to deal with some wind and rain since we were halfway through the meal. The view was worth the trade off.
We just missed seeing a pretty spectacular water spout out over the gulf before we arrived. Wait staff had some cool pictures. We will be back for the brunch again very soon.
Great views of the Gulf and the appetizer was remarkable.
Arrived at 8:00pm
Ordered at 8:10 pm
Appetizers arrived at 8:40pm
Main course arrived at 9:15pm
Steak was fine. Everything else was lukewarm
They did cut the bill In half so there’s that.
I probably wouldn’t go back.
We really enjoyed our experience.
Food was really good, especially the chicken Marsala and lobster Mac! Steak was a tab salty but I still chowed down!
The featured blood orange margarita was 10/10.
We had a party of 6 and from all of us the service, food, noise level, etc. was outstanding. Wife and I had tried the Drift prior to the storm and have been waiting until the Drift came back from the damage. It was worth the wait.
Thanks for a great night out.
Food was superb, ambiance and setting is outstanding and our server - Sara Burnett is the absolute BEST!
Beautiful views of the pier and gulf ! Service was fabulous and so was the food .
The view is out of this world. The service and food was outstanding. We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner.
Fantastic experience especially for a Sunday brunch!
The view from the outside deck was incredible, the tables, setting, everything was perfect for a Sunday brunch! Our waitress lauren was amazing - so sweet and fun for our girl group! Unfortunately there was a snafu with our food tickets and it took well over an hour for our food to come; then only half came. It took another 30+ minutes for the remaining half of our party to get their food. Our server was very apologetic and quick to address the manager. The manager took care of the late meals and the food was great once we got it!
Overall, I will definitely go back again and recommend, probably just with a smaller group.
I am local, and this is the first time I have been to Drift. We were all really looking forward to it, because we had heard so much about it and that the food had gotten much better. We were extremely disappointed to say the least. The food was subpar, they didn't even have enough brunch menus to go around, because they said they weren't expecting be this busy???
My girlfriend ordered a seafood salad and they ought to be completely embarrassed with how small the shrimp were. Tiny, tiny little shrimp, the crab was shredded and you could barely see it!! I cannot believe they would even charge what they did and serve something like this. NOT, a topnotch restaurant with unbelievable food, quite the contrary. Do not describe on your menu this amazing dish and come out serving something like this. The other three of us ordered brunch and they described fingerling potatoes with rosemary and it came out with store bought little potato squares, with zero fresh rosemary and the dishes were room temperature at best. I ordered my eggs benedict with firm/hard eggs and they came out wrong both times.
Overall, very disappointed. They spent millions of dollars on building this restaurant and claim to have great food which is NOT THE CASE! Will not recommend or be back.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant and excellent food. Would go back again and again!
The service and the ambiance here, including the view, are excellent, as is the food. However, it was much better when they offered the delicious bread service, which as locals, we are sad to say they have now omitted, post Covid. The staff do not wear masks, which is also disappointing, considering that the Delta variant of Covid is still so widespread. The menu is also extremely limited right now, we are assuming due to both staff shortages as well as supply chain issues. The servers they do have work very hard and provided great service with a smile. The restaurant was not even close to being full, and that may be in part that their prices are so much higher than other restaurants, but also because unlike other fine dining restaurants in this area, their staff don't wear masks.
My husband and I had a great experience. We had oysters for an appetizer and ordered another 1/2 dozen they were so good! We both ordered steak for our main dishes and they were both cooked exactly as we ordered (I had the petite fillet and he had the ribeye). Definitely up there with some of the best steaks we've eaten.
Then as an added bonus, since we indicated in our reservation it was our anniversary, we were given a complimentary dessert of Strawberry Shortcake. It was delightful! I would call it a good, old-fashioned shortcake. The slightly salted biscuit for me was the best! Then paired with the sweet strawberries made for a great cap off to the evening.
The bar drinks we ordered tended to take a little while and that would be my only critique/disappointment. Overall, would recommend and actually purchased a gift card for my in-laws for keeping our dogs that we were visiting Pensacola. Thank you, Drift for making our anniversary dinner a memorable one.
We made reservations for our anniversary and expected full service food service as stated on website. However, that is not what we were informed of when we sat down and even asked. But no only brunch would be served. If this was the case then why wasn’t it stated on website???? Very disappointed especially on our anniversary :(
Drift was a pleasant place to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was friendly and helpful, meanwhile the food was very good. Will definitely go again!!
Great service and food. The best in Pensacola Beach.
Great atmosphere and decent service, but the food is truly lacking. 2/4 dishes had to be sent back due to gross amount of hair in food and steaks being grossly over cooked. 3/4 appetizers ordered were mediocre at best and we didn’t even eat the shrimp cocktail because whatever sauce it was in was clearly old and had an odd smell.
This restaurant has great potential, however The kitchen staff is truly lacking. I realize the Covid has presented challenging staffing issues, but for the price of meals Drift needs to step it up. Even the presentation of the food is disappointing. For example, your steak is served on a giant plate completely bare with a random stick of rosemary sticking out of your steak. As someone who has worked with the service industry in the past, I have tried to be sympathetic considering the circumstances, however there is simply zero excuse for what we experienced tonight.
We will give it another shot, but only for drinks. For the price of food is just not worth the money for the quality that you receive.
Such a fabulous atmosphere on the outdoor deck, very fun to see the dueling pianos below at Casino Beach Bar! It made our night
Beautiful restaurant and great staff but the food was very disappointing, especially considering the price. Oysters were not fresh shucked, mostly the food was not fresh or freshly prepared. This place could be amazing with a good chef.
The ambiance and food was wonderful! Taiga was an excellent representative of Drift. We really enjoyed her service and personality. We had dinner Saturday that was so amazing that we went back on Sunday for brunch. We were not disappointed! Taiga served us both meals. This is our new favorite!
The food and service were both great. It is on the more expensive side, but the view alone is worth it.
A wonderful evening. Great food, drinks and service. Excellent restaurant!
Great brunch celebrating a Birthday. Service and food were outstanding. Looking forward to my next visit.
Overall the place is clean food was good and perfect scenery of the beach
New chef but same recipes…not appealing AT ALL…they never really were.
Some food came out burnt. (Lamb lollipops)
The lobster ravioli is horrible. Nobody at the table at them.
The restaurant and staff were lovely. We are locals and were really hoping the recipes would have changed and or been better, as we know be Dan Dunn is a great chef.
Cocktails were extremely slow to get to us. Had almost all of our appetizers before we ever got a cocktail. Lobster ravioli wasn’t very hot.
Wait person worked so hard and was so pleasant. Hard to serve a group of nine.
Excited to have another fine dining option on the island. Drift is a perfect location for a quiet dinner for two or a lovely family gathering. Overlooking Casino outdoor dining and the beach.
The decor is chic coastal with white table cloth service inside to nice patio dining.
Caleb was our waiter and was very attentive.
The star for us was the seared tuna. Also, nice wine list.
Look forward to more visits to Drift as a fine dining option on the island.
Service was good, view is gorgeous..however- I ordered the special and the waitress failed to tell us it was topped with foie gras (which i have a personal problem with as it is inhuman). When I asked about it she didn’t know what it was either ( not her fault- she should’ve been educated by the chef or manager) Lost my appetite and did not continue my meal. May seem like a small thing to some, but to me it was a huge turn off. I work late nights and we don’t get many date nights so I was pretty upset, I probably won’t be back. This is my first review of drift, and the 3rd time I’ve been.
Beautiful place very good service and food was very good. One of the guest did not think the salad with shrimp and lobster was very good.
Service was exceptional from arrival until we left. Caleb our server, was very knowledgeable of the food, including specials, and menu options. He recommended the Salmon, which was exquisite! We enjoyed the food, wine, drinks, and the experience was well worth the money. We will be returning.
