Beautiful dining room!!!! Gorgeous views that you can see from every table. Food was exceptional. Would have been a 5 star rating, except for one thing. There is a side door the waitstaff use to wait on tables on the outdoor patio. There are actually two doors leading out there, but this side door slammed loudly every single time someone walked in or out (wait staff and patrons). It was unbelievable loud and totally disrupted the ambiance of brunch. I don't know if the door is broken or has an issue, but other than that, the decor is gorgeous! Just try not to sit anywhere near the side door that the outside stairs lead up to.
Wait service very friendly. Nice welcoming environment. Locals go here. You know it’s good.
You will not find a better view of the Gulf. The food here is always great! Celebrated our anniversary here and it was a wonderful experience!
Food spectacular! Service- worst!!! Waitress complaining about the light changing the color of the food to the table next to us when we were the ones asking about it. Couldn’t get our glass filled with water, treated us like we were a burden because she just had a “3 top seated” right after us. Had to hear that there were specials when she told the table next to us, not us.
Paying $$$$ for the view.Reservations made & we were sat instantly when we arrived.
Just wish the rest of the evening went as well. Beautiful view & nice ambiance, not too noisy. They were aware it was a birthday celebration as well as an anniversary celebration. No special treatment.
Most food was great, some not so much. Since it was 1st visit, it was a very tough to get info from Waitstaff regarding entrees, even after informing her that it was first visit.
Out of our party, half loved their food. the other half disappointed as it was not at all what expected or explained. A better explanation of entrees would have helped tremendously.
A little pricey especially since all sides are a la carte.
Waitress didn’t come check on water & drinks.
Improvements needed! There are plenty of fine dining beach view restaurants from
Pensacola to Destin that are half the price, much bigger portions & more attentive wait staff.
Will we return? Maybe for apps & drinks. Maybe for their brunch.
Service and setting were wonderful! Beautiful build out, decor and views. Our server was super helpful and kind. Food was good not great and value for food wasn’t excellent. Steaks were flavorful and tender but seafood dishes needed attention. They ran out of grouper by 7 PM and snapper was mushy. Even the sauce used was not that great. We are locals and would expect better seafood for the pricing. We will try again.
We're locals, I booked a reservation at Drift to try out a new brunch place to celebrate a birthday. It had a fantastic, calm atmosphere. The views of Pensacola Beach/Casino Beach are incredible. It was not the typical, tourist-y restaurant. Our server, Madeline was sweet, attentive, and accommodating! We ordered crab cake benedict, the seafood tower and drift breakfast from the brunch menu the food was fresh and the portions we're perfect. I had to take some of the potatoes and a whole pancake! Arrive hungry! We enjoyed this restaurant so much that it will be a regular in the future. Can't wait to try out their dinner menu!
Food and drinks were great! We were excited to try the oysters and lobster mac and cheese. Unfortunately, they were out of both. Our waitress Lindley was fabulous and made our experience great! She had great recommendations to substitute for the dishes they were out of.
Great time and great service. The food was exceptional.
My dinner companion said the ribeye was okay, but nothing special. However, he really liked the onion soup. I loved everything. The heirloom tomato and watermelon salad, red snapper and asparagus were all delicious. I loved all the flavors. We were uncomfortable because many servers did not wear masks. Ours did, but the people bringing our food from the kitchen did not. They carried our food on trays on their shoulders right by their noses and mouths where they breathed on our food 😳
Perfect seating and view in the corner to ask the love of my life to spend the rest of our lives together ❤
service was slow, food fair compared to Grand Marlin and the Fishouse. however outside area was great ... will come back when cooler weather arrives and use outside area.
inside is to noisy. Prices compare slightly higher than other places of similiar rare.
Perhaps the worst treatment received at a restaurant. Arrived on time and had to wait 20 minutes for them to reset a table. Then the manager came over and said we could not have that table because they had a bigger party they needed it for but offered us a table behind a post versus the window table. The other larger party had still not arrived and we were finally seated outside in the heat (the waiter explained to us that their fans were not working properly and then offered to move us back inside).
The food was overcooked in three of the four meals.
I EXPECT BETTER TREATMENT WHEN I AM SPENDING BETWEEN $300 AND $400 FOR DINNER FOR A TABLE OF FOUR. I WILL NEVER RETURN
The only complaint I have was the price versus food quality. Other than that, Drift is a Great restaurant
Wonderful atmosphere and the food is creative and delicious. The server we had was attentive and knowledgeable. Will definitely return
Another amazing experience with incredible views and impeccable service and food. Presentation and flavor with “social distancing” and still feel the atmosphere. Thank you!
Excellent service. Food was great. Had the grouper and it was perfect. Our server was Awesome and tended to our needs and even help celebrate my wife's BIRTHDAY. A great place to eat and the view of the Gulf is always a Big Plus.
The food is excellent! We had the tuna (large piece!) dish and the lobster salad (special) and both dishes had wonderful flavors. Oysters Rockfeller is a fav appetizer, too! Can NOT beat this venue for awesome Gulf & sunset views. Drift is divine.
Our first time at Drift. Very impressed with the atmosphere.... just beautiful. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. We started with the house Merlot ( him) and I had the Drift Drop martini. Both excellent. Than camet the tomato/ watermelon salad. It was a take off of a caprese salad. I thought it was just ok. Fresh and flavorful but nothing special. I had the coconut crab cakes. They came with a strange dijion mayonnaise . Didn’t seem to really enhance the crab cakes and you got a lot of it. Crab cakes were very good. Hubby had the lobster ravioli. He sad it was the best he ever had. I would definitely return. There are several items on the menu I would like to try. I could go back just for the martini!
Excellent. Will go back in veering Orr Usenet b
Good service and atmosphere! Way too much foot traffic at tables behind bar. All good, we'll reserve one of those cozy booths for our next date night. Love the colors
Food and service was amazing
I normally don’t leave reviews but for the price of this dinner and the quality that was served I felt I must. Had heard the same thing from several people but I wanted to give it a try myself. Nice atmosphere but food was terrible! Will not go back! Definitely not worth price!! So Disappointed!!!!
Melanie was the best, made our birthday a good celebration
We are regulars at Casino Beach but had heard mixed reviews of Drift. We were pleasantly surprised by our experience. In spite of the wind it was quite nice sitting outside. The food was excellent. We shared the Cajun broiled oysters for an appetizer. My husband had the fish special (sea bass) and I had the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly and very good. We shared the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Our server was Carolina and she was great. I highly recommend you give Drift a try!
Another Great Sunday brunch at Drift. Good food and nice service.
Good and service was amazing! Delicious Bloodies 🍹
Wait staff was great. Had an 8 pm reservation, and was a bit early, but they worked quickly to seat us. Drinks were excellent, entrees wonderfully cooked....we will go back!
Loved it! Will definitely be back!
Celebrated our two year anniversary and wrote it in the reservation. Although it was not mentioned by the staff we had a wonderful experience. The food and drinks were spectacular and our server Robert was fantastic.
This was my second time eating at Drift, and both times I ordered the bone-in pork chop. The first time was amazing from start to finish. The calamari omelette appetizer, the shrimp cocktail, and my salad were fantastic. The pork chop was the best I’ve ever had, period. The second time started out good. The cold salmon appetizer was great, my salad was wonderful. However, my pork chop was the worst I’ve ever had. Period. It was brought to me absolutely raw when cut into. I asked for it to be cooked a bit more, and it was brought back to me tasting like it’d been simply microwaved or maybe cooked on a car tailpipe. The taste was so bad I couldn’t choke it down, and wound up just having the server take it away uneaten. That being said, every restaurant has a stumble here and there, and this won’t keep me from trying again. Both times, the service was fantastic.
Fabulous service, cocktails were perfectly portioned, food was very delicious, only critique is, my med rare steak (10oz filet) was a bit chewy. The outside tasted very burnt. Zero flavor.
We had several entrees and apps, steak was the only issue.
There was a wedding reception booked downstairs and the DJ was very loud with the line dance music. It definitely detracted from our quiet dining experience. Otherwise food was delicious and view was spectacular.
Made reservations weeks in advance for our one year anniversary. When booking the reservation, I even noted that we were dining for our anniversary but no one acknowledged it.
Overall, the experience and the food is not worth the final bill. This will be my last time at Drift.
Yummy food and service was great. Way to go McKenna!
It’s a great for adults. Wouldn’t really recommend it for children.
Excellent sunset dinner in Pensacola Beach. My wife and I dined here on the patio last Sunday, great views of the beach during sunset. Service is excellent, highly recommend asking for Patrick - he's all over it and takes great care of you.
Food selection is typical steak/fish house fare, decent wine list, serving sizes are generous with great presentation. Miso-soy glazed sea bass and my wife's red snapper were tasty and perfectly cooked.
Only nit-pick is accessing the restaurant; it's a bit confusing, but accessible via elevator. Ask the hostess on the first floor restaurant, they'll point you in the right direction.
If you're looking for a nice patio view of the Gulf for dinner - highly recommend Drift. We would definitely come again.
Sunday Brunch is great! The food and staff are always on their game.
Service and location was great, I just wished brunch was better. Maybe I'll try their dinner service another time. The king crab omelet isn't fluffy at all and didn't have much crab meat in it; its not worth paying $23.
The waitress Britney was so sweet and attentive. The food was great but a little colder than I prefer. Overall I would come back often to try new dishes.
Our group of seven sat outside on the patio. The service was great and the food was delicious. We had a reservation and was seated on time. We will definitely eat there again soon.
