Dressler's Restaurant - Metropolitan (Midtown) Ratings and Reviews
The service at Dresslers was absolutely amazing and reflected the reviews that I read beforehand. Asa our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommendation. We were greeted with a happy birthday and a complimentary 21st birthday drink and complimentary desert. The experience was fantastic. Will be back.
This was a birthday lunch for an office colleague and friend. We made a reservation for 11 and was given a private room without asking. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had a yummy goat cheese salad w/salmon that was just a bit pricey. I had informed the waiter of the birthday so he brought out a huge piece of homemade oreo cheesecake gratis. We passed it around .. it was to die for!
We have come to Dresslers several times now at lunch for special occasions and they have been consistently on the mark!
Parking is a pain so it's better to park in the Target deck and walk over.
Very pleasant meal. Mom and daughters night out. Food was good and service was very nice. No complaints. We were seated next to a window and there was a sports bar across the plaza with a million TVs which we could see. A little distracting when one is in a fine dining venue. But overall a very nice dinner.
Had an early reservation on a Sat night before the theatre; server asked us if we needed to get anywhere - I really appreciated his mindfulness. Table ordered wine and cocktails; cocktails were strong but good. We skipped appetizers to hold room for dessert. Entree #1 was heart of ribeye - which came blackened with blue cheese, side of roasted fingerling potatoes and asparagus. My date enjoyed this tremendously; portion was such that not all could be consumed. Entree #2 was braised short rib which came on top of mashed potatoes with gravy. This smelled so good that I declared I would not be sharing and the table beside us inquired what I was having. Short rib was so tender that no knife was needed; again, all was not consumed due to portion size. We split creme brulee for dessert. As with the entrees, the portion size was generous and the custard was nice. The sugar on top was a little more scorched than my preference but this would not deter me from ordering it again. Overall, we were very happy with our meal, bragged about it to friends and will be going back.
We always have such an outstanding experience here at Dressler's. We started off with calamari and the goat cheese and garlic two of our favorite appetizers came out piping hot and completely delicious. My wife ordered the filet mignon with augratin potatoes. I ordered the Halibut, Our guests ordered the crab cakes and salmon. We finished everything off with Mom's cheesecake and warm apple cake two of the best desserts in the house. Asa our server was wonderful very knowledgeable about the menu and really put a fun spin on the evening. Our host Kent Voss came by the table to check on us to make sure everything was perfect as we ordered it. Thank you Dressler's for another wonderful event.
We had many people suggest this restaurant for years and we never went to as it was 10 min further than I normally like to drive. IT WAS Amazing. Will Be here often.
Great drinks, food, service and a beautiful experience.
We had 3 appetizers, all exceptional. Rack of lamb to die for.
The restaurant was miserably cold. For my entree, I ordered the Halibut, which is the signature dish, but it came out Luke warm. I ordered the apple cake for dessert but it was served cold. Had to send it back. I was expecting so much more from this restaurant but really the wine and the goat cheese appetiser was the most impressive part of my meal.
Our waiter on Christmas Eve told us it was the restaurant's busiest night of the year. Well, they weren't ready for it. The food was either undercooked or had been plated much too soon before serving and was a plate of mush. Veggies overcooked and tired. Butter and bread was an afterthought. Errors were rampant - wrong menus, poorly made drinks, forgotten flatware - very amateurish. And very disappointing for such an important occasion.
Our family of five enjoyed our Christmas Eve meal. All four steaks (ribeyes and filets) were terrific. The Mac and cheese and bread were fantastic! The only issue food wise was over cooked, tasteless, halibut. The service was just mediocre. Our waiter did not show any expression- though we truly appreciate waitstaff working on Christmas Eve.
Great experience as always, service with Megan was amazing, the fleet mignon very tasty, the lamb delicious, both cooked correctly. The fingerling potatoes better than the mash potatoes, very creamy tatting. The chocolate mouse cake very good and the expresso put my husband in heaven, just as good as the one in Spain, which is a big deal. You pay good money but they make it worth it. I would recommend it even to picky people.
Since we moved to the area in 2015, Dresslers has become our favorite special occasion destination. We’ve celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, and most recently all the family home together for Christmas. Service and food are excellent. Simply the best in town!!
Went on a double date here for the holidays. This restaurant is amazing! I booked on open table and a couple days later someone called to confirm my reservation; how polite. This restaurant wasn’t here when my boyfriend and I lived here so we were excited to try someplace new based on the awesome reviews. We had Mitch as our server; very personable and conversational. We order the low country crab dip and Cajun shrimp as appetizers for the table; delicious! My friend had been eating all day and wasn’t too hungry and they allowed her to make up her own entree salad since it isn’t any on the menu; great customer service! I order the Joyce Farm Chicken and it had so much flavor and my boyfriend raved about the ribeye. The hostess took pictures of us before we left. This was a great experience. We live in Atlanta and our friends in DC so we have tons of great restaurants but everyone agree this is one of our favorite places in general. I’m very hard to impressed but Dressler’s did it. Book with them; you won’t regret it!
I love Dressler's and this was not my first or my last visit. The food was very good, my date had the Salmon and I had the Chicken. Both were cooked to perfection. I will say that this time the food was a bit on the salty side which is unusual because I don't recall ever thinking the food is too salty at Dressler's. Very definitely a great special occasion venue and the views of the city are spectacular!
A friend recommended this resturant. I love the location and the food and service was wonderful! They treated us like we were special! Not by just our main waiter but by the whole staff, I truly felt like we had been going there forever and treated as such. If we wanted a more quiet spot, you can sit near the back. We sat close to the front as we like to interact with people. The food is wonderful and the cheesecake is light and airy!! We went there for my birthday and suggested pairing with a Lambrusco sparkling wine. Perfect!! I highly recommend for anytime!
