Everytime I come to Bodega Bay this is the place for Dinner. Food and service was perfect.
The food was absolutely amazing. Austen brought us a dessert with a candle since we celebrating a birthday. Was a very nice experience
Exceeded our expectations!! Wonderful service and the food was delicious!! We had cod, chicken and duck. Our favorites were the cod and chicken. We usually do not order chicken out but it was recommended and was delicious. The chocolate dessert was a little dry. The service was perfect. The wine list was wonderful and very fairly priced. The food and beverage manager was very friendly and helpful. Many gluten free choices and they were all very flavorful. The plate presentation was beautiful. We shared many main dishes and it was very nice that the kitchen split the entrees for us. Beautiful view of the bay. Spectacular dining experience!
The food was tasty and well prepared. A few flaws...the pea puree was a bit bitter and my scallops we're just slightly under but all in all it was a good meal. Wine menu was full and had some good selections. Our waiter was great. Things that could use improvement..the hostess was terrible. No smile or actual greeting. She then said something to us at the table but who knows what, she mumbles. Not once did we get a refill of water. The guy walked by with the container, a lot, ignored every attempt to get him to come over. For those prices I expect a bit more.
The food is absolutely fantastic! The view is lovely. The service is great.
Rebeca was a perfect waitperson. Great recommendations, knew when to let us be. The food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommended.
The best crab cakes cakes I’ve ever eaten . The entire meal was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
They were out of three main items on menu, didn’t get delivered.
Nice Easter Brunch venue
Excellent food, able to sit out on the patio for drinks while waiting for a table.
Overall a very good experience!
The menu was limited, especially being a gluten free vegetarian. Its convenient if staying at the Bodega Bay lodge.
Great flavor and selection. Service was great. We stayed at the lodge so it made it very convenient.
This was such a delicious and cozy restaurant! The cocktail and wine list are greatly varied, the cheese plate delicious, and many creative dishes to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Cozy atmosphere overlooking the water with a fireplace.
Nicest restaurant in the Bodega Bay area. The food was good, and the service was better.
Great service. Excellent breakfast and dinner menus.
Our waitress Rebecca was so wonderful to us on our first trip to CA wine country! She was patient and friendly with choosing a wine winner as well as giving quality advice of local must see spots! She seemed to truly enjoy her work and talking with us.
All of the staff had such genuine smiles and ease to be around! The view was amazing!
My wife and I had never been here before buy we will be back. We both had a wonderful meal from start to finish. Can’t say enough good things about this food
We were celebrating a birthday and had an unfortunate experience. My wife and I were splitting the "Surf and Turf" which, according to the menu, consisted of a beef tenderloin (filet) and diver scallops. When the meal arrived and I divided the meat portion for us, I noticed that the meat did not feel or cut like a tenderloin should. I also saw that it was medium-well, not the medium=rare that we had asked for. I tried one bite, and it did not taste like a tenderloin. I looked more closely and what we had received looked like a piece of brisket. We sent it back and learned that the tenderloin had not arrived that day, so the kitchen just substituted what they had without saying anything to anyone. We were offered a rib-eye steak as a substitute, which we accepted even though I don't particularly care for rib-eye. It was better tasting than the brisket, but much fattier. Also the two scallops we received were over seasoned and under cooked in my opinion. The restaurant was very apologetic about the whole thing and comped our evening. I will have to think twice about returning.
Our first time at Drakes Sonoma Kitchen since it formerly was Duck Club. Our meal was tasty and the service somewhat inconsistent (towards end of meal service?). The kitchen was out of several items and although we were eventually informed, we were disappointed. Our server gave us one free meal as an acknowledgement, which was appreciated. Limited selection of gluten free items. Lovely setting
Great all-around! Wonderful fresh food in intimate setting at dinner. Will definitely return!
We stayed at the Bodega Bay Lodge for my nieces birthday and decided not to leave the property for dinner! Glad we stayed. Very cozy. Good food. Nice staff.
Very fresh and well prepared. I had the roasted squash filled with a farro risotto. It was delicious
My pan seared scallops on a bed of potatoes with a lovely chorizo sauce were very special. My husband had a delicious ribeye that was exceptionally flavorful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for it's beautiful setting, great service, fantastic food and quiet, romantic atmosphere. We've returned numerous times and never been disappointed.
I've been here several times over the years and it has been a consistently good place for a high quality meal.
Wonderful dinner! We were seated by the fireplace which was nice on a chilly evening. Kelsey was our server and she was great and helpful. The food is excellent and sourced from local vendors. The wine list is decent and contains many wines from the area. You can bet that we will be back.
The Gnocci was fabulous!!! Best I’ve ever had!! Great service and very comfortable seating.
We had a nice Valentine’s Day meal. The surf and turf was very good , the steak cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Thank you.
Only reason I didn't give it "Outstanding" for the food is because although everything was very good, everything lacked salt. We actually both had to add salt to every dish. Once the salt was added, everything was very good.
The menu needs more vegetarian entrees. Vegan is mentioned above but not vegetarian. There is a difference and there are more vegetarians than vegans. The only vegetarian choice was a gnocchi, which was quite good, but the gnocchi were too gummy; good gnocchi are light and not gummy.
Great fine dining experience. Service was attentive, food delicious and ambiance pleasant. If staying at the lodge, it is so convenient.
The staff is very attentive
Food was great
Very wonderful place for a special occasion
Food and service was excellent. Good selection of food and wine.
We had a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary dinner at Drakes Sonoma Coast Kitchen. The food was fantastic and so was the service in this beautiful restaurant. It is definitely the place to dine when staying in Bodega Bay.
We had the seafood stew and braised short ribs. The food was excellent!
The food was excellent. We had the ribeye, the pasta and the short ribs all were cooked perfectly. The service was very good, the staff very friendly and prompt. The ambiance was great, we were able to have conversation.
Dinner was disappointing. Soup way too salty. Pasta entree over cooked. Not offered a wine list. On the other hand, the manager was concerned, gracious and professional; well handled.
Breakfast is a much better bet.
Haven't been here since Duck Club changed to Drakes. Nice atmosphere for the lodge. Convenient if you're staying here. Lovely coctails. Dinner was good but not amazing. I know the restaurant is continually updating and expanding. Looking forward to changes and improvements. Also ate here for breakfast the next morning. Comfortable and casual. Good food. Nothing highly interesting or unusual. Overall good.
The short ribs were simply spectacular as was the beet salad
