My wife and I went to dinner at Drake's for our wedding anniversary. It was an excellent choice! The location is incredible. The atmosphere is highly desirable and the food was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and the service was professional. Highly recommended!

Great views & excellent ambience. Only local seafood offers were oysters and mussels as cod and halibut were from Alaska. Menu different from one posted online. Waiter thought mussels were shipped in from east coast but saids Tomales Bay on menu.

We were treated extra special for our 25th wedding anniversary! Starting with a pre-dinner cocktail at the bar, bartender Rita gave us first class service and made sure to get us a great window table with waiter Tom. Tom was wonderful and the food, excellent! We highly recommend Drakes for special occasions or any time you want a fabulous dining experience.

I rarely post restaurant reviews, but our anniversary dinner last night at Drakes far exceeded our expectations. The service was spot on and the ambience was perfect, but it was the food that really pushed this to an A+ dining experience. The highlight for me was the perfectly done thick pork chop, the best I’ve ever had. Also delicious, were the tomato basil soup, the pear and manchango cheese salad, and the mussels over cacio e pepe pasta. Can’t wait to return.

I decided to go to Bodega Bay to celebrate my birthday, and Drakes was my choice for my birthday dinner. The restaurant was beautiful, and we were seated by the window so we could see the water and the beautiful sunset. Our wait staff was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the bread and butter, and we really loved the olive bread. The cooked oyster was really good. We loved the cooked oyster. Growing up in Asia, we only eat cooked oysters because they are harvested wild, not farmed. My husband and I had fish dishes, and both dishes (halibut and cod) were absolutely delicious. The mistake we made was ordering a dessert; we ordered gelato and sorbet. Each gelato and sorbet came with 3 scoops. It was so huge that we could only eat one scoop. We asked if we could take it to our room to finish it, and they were fine with it. On our last day at The Lodge, we had breakfast at Drakes. We ordered the pastry basket, and it came with assorted pastries; my husband loved it. We also ordered breakfast items, and the portions were huge. I will definitely go back to Drakes if I am in the area.

Drakes is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Our server Kelsey was excellent and took the time to answer all our questions. We sat by the window in giant leather chairs and enjoyed the view of the bay. The food was amazing! I had a salad and charcuterie board. My husband had the chowder and the pork chop. The pork chop came with a mushroom and sourdough like stuffed that was so tasty!!

We had 2 lovely nights at Drakes - one in the Fireside Lounge and the other in the main restaurant. Food was delicious, but the most impressive part of the experience was our time with Tantra. She was warm and wonderful making both meals a gold star event.

The setting is stunning, with a breathtaking view of the marvelous bird sanctuary and coastline. Cozy fire pits provide warmth against the cool, foggy air of the Sonoma Coast. The service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. I especially loved the shrimp and artichoke dip. The oysters were perfectly fresh, and you can't go wrong with any seafood options on the menu—mussels, clams, or fish. An excellent dining experience all around!
