I've been here several times over the years and it has been a consistently good place for a high quality meal.
Wonderful dinner! We were seated by the fireplace which was nice on a chilly evening. Kelsey was our server and she was great and helpful. The food is excellent and sourced from local vendors. The wine list is decent and contains many wines from the area. You can bet that we will be back.
The Gnocci was fabulous!!! Best I’ve ever had!! Great service and very comfortable seating.
We had a nice Valentine’s Day meal. The surf and turf was very good , the steak cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. Thank you.
Only reason I didn't give it "Outstanding" for the food is because although everything was very good, everything lacked salt. We actually both had to add salt to every dish. Once the salt was added, everything was very good.
The menu needs more vegetarian entrees. Vegan is mentioned above but not vegetarian. There is a difference and there are more vegetarians than vegans. The only vegetarian choice was a gnocchi, which was quite good, but the gnocchi were too gummy; good gnocchi are light and not gummy.
Great fine dining experience. Service was attentive, food delicious and ambiance pleasant. If staying at the lodge, it is so convenient.
The staff is very attentive
Food was great
Very wonderful place for a special occasion
Food and service was excellent. Good selection of food and wine.
We had a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary dinner at Drakes Sonoma Coast Kitchen. The food was fantastic and so was the service in this beautiful restaurant. It is definitely the place to dine when staying in Bodega Bay.
We had the seafood stew and braised short ribs. The food was excellent!
The food was excellent. We had the ribeye, the pasta and the short ribs all were cooked perfectly. The service was very good, the staff very friendly and prompt. The ambiance was great, we were able to have conversation.
Dinner was disappointing. Soup way too salty. Pasta entree over cooked. Not offered a wine list. On the other hand, the manager was concerned, gracious and professional; well handled.
Breakfast is a much better bet.
Haven't been here since Duck Club changed to Drakes. Nice atmosphere for the lodge. Convenient if you're staying here. Lovely coctails. Dinner was good but not amazing. I know the restaurant is continually updating and expanding. Looking forward to changes and improvements. Also ate here for breakfast the next morning. Comfortable and casual. Good food. Nothing highly interesting or unusual. Overall good.
The short ribs were simply spectacular as was the beet salad
Love this place. We dine here every time we come and stay at Bodega Bay Lodge. Well recommended
very disappointed in the experience. The reservation was for 6:30 we arrive at 6:16 and were told we would hav to wait in the bar until 6:30 even though 90% of the tables were empty. As a former restauranteur in Marin and San Francisco I was appalled.
we ordered sea bass and short ribs---the short ribs were OK the sea bass came with cold mini raviolis and the portion was gone in two bites which for $32 did not feel right. Crab cakes also decent but nothing to rave about. The wine list is good except that half bottles and full bottles are mixed together so a little confusing.
the atmosphere is strange, and not at all what one would expect in Sonoma or on the coast. Resembles more of a lodge in the Sierra or a restaurant in an airport chain like Hyatt or Marriott.
The plaid carpet is out of place in Bodegay Bay and a throw back to the 80's.
we live in Dillon Beach 20 minutes away hence we were very excited to try for the first time since our local choices are limited. Unfortunately we will not come back.
Our waiter Austen was the bright light of the evening and he was very pleasant and professional.
Dining room is adjacent to bar and casual dining area with a huge door that remains open. Certain loss of intimacy/separation from the bar scene. Food portions were not generous. Baked chicken was under-cooked and when noted to the manager the response was 'no it isn't". Wine by the glass was significantly overpriced .
Service was above average and attentive.
I had read some Yelp reviews that had some pretty bad things to say so I was concerned. However we had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent. The menu is small but the food was very good and the service was outstanding. If you are looking for a more upscale place to eat in Bodega Bay this is where you should go.
Good food @ a good price in a lovely dining room. Good wine list.
