   I ordered a “crab Louie” and the salad was the size of a cup of soup for $21.00. My husband had the cod which tasted delicious but was a small serving at $38.00. Not what we expected from the high ratings online. We enjoyed the chocolate lava cake dessert very much. The decaf coffee was dreadful. Service was great with our waitress. The meal was quickly prepared and served hot for the hot dish and cold for the salad. The bread was delicious.

   Food was good just not great. Had the crab Louie salad that had several pieces of crab shell in it. So had to work for my salad. The black cod was great and the soup of the day was good. Ate there this morning for breakfast and the one late and waffle were good and not too expensive.

   We love this restaurant but the food was poor tonight! In fact my husband got sick after eating the burger at dinner. I’m hoping it was just an off night, but what a shame if it’s going downhill!!

   Our waiter was good, but he couldn’t make up for the slowness of the cocktail and food delivery. The four of us ordered 3 cocktails and one glass of wine and it took a really long time for the drinks to arrive. Then our food order was really slow in arriving and was not very good. In fact two tables seated after us got their food before we did. One of us ordered the cod and it was fair, but nothing to rave about. I ordered the fish special, which was described as “similar to yellowfin tuna. It was not! And it was very dry. The other two split a steak and ordered it medium rare. It was medium, with no red in the center at all. Overall, a big disappointment.

   The brined pork chop and service made this one of the finest meals I’ve experienced. And I lived in San Francisco for 30 years and now live in Napa.

   A lovely setting, great views, comfortable chairs, great service. Very much enjoyed the Caesar salad though my wife and I both ordered the crab roll ($28) and were disappointed to find that half of the filling was EGG SALAD. We saw someone get the charcuterie platter and it looked fantastic. Excellent assortment of mostly Sonoma wines, too. Will,definitely return perhaps for dinner — the dining room looked lovely.

   Food was very distasteful. The cod 4 inches long and 1.5 inches wide, which is a very small piece. The cod was cooked well but it was smothered an a large amount of a horrible sweet soup-like creamy sauce that made tasting the cod practically impossible. The cod was $38.00 and there were no vegetables or rice served with the cod. That is very unlike most chef presentations we have had with seafood. My husband's half chicken was good but the side dish was a roll of cabbage with a horrible tasting sauce/spice. You also have to pay $5 for bread! Just a disappointing and expensive dinner

   So, I'm often on a quest for the perfect pork chop and I can now stop my quest because Drakes has absolutely nailed this dish. A delicious glaze, just a perfect amount of smokiness, tender, juicy and packed with flavor. Then you get this one of one bread pudding thingy with bacon and seasonings in it. So good. Great green beans with sauteed onions. Overall exceptional dining experience.
