We love dining at Drake’s, best restaurant in Bodega Bay! Had the mussels over fresh linguine and my wife and I both loved it. Great little gem Caesar salad also excellent.

We had a group of 4 in town visiting Russian River Valley vineyards. Found the Drake using Yelp. All our food was very good! We had the pork chop (outstanding), halibut (very good) and trout (very good). We enjoyed some gelato for dessert to top off an excellent dinner! Had a great view of the sunset too. Highly recommend!

Our experience at Drakes was wonderful. The view was magnificent. The waitstaff, bartender and other employees were so embracing. The meal was awesome and the service was 5 star. Did not charge for corkage fee and our waiter provided a complimentary dessert. Just an awesome experience.

Our dinner was awesome. We had great service. Our waitress was totally cool. She went along with us and offer us what hors d’oeuvre to try and desserts. We had an excellent meal left there full no complaints.

Wonderful service. Very attentive. The atmosphere was romantic and thoughtful. The food was divine! We had the beef onion soup, Cesar salad, watermelon salad and ribeye. Everything was perfection. The desserts were delicious too. Can’t wait to go back!

The place seemed disorganized and not attentive to clients. We learned while having a pre-dinner drink at the bar that the chef had quit 2 weeks ago, and the bartender had not shown up for work that night. The person seating guests for dinner seemed unable to handle his task. Although he was made aware that we were waiting in the bar for our 7:30 dinner reservation, he told us when we approached him twice that "he had a lot going on" and could not seat us. We had to wait until 8 pm or after to be seated. Thankfully, our waiter was terrific and the food was good, although not outstanding. Our waiter was very sympathetic to the inappropriate behavior by the person in charge of seating, and offered the pre-dinner drinks to be complementary.

This place was an unfortunate disappointment. My wife, and I were here last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary, along with our daughter. The ambiance was cozy and it had some real nice views so that was definitely in this restaurant's favor. The service was also top notch. But the food was, at best, a mixed bag. We started off with drinks and apps and ordered a charcuterie board for the table along with a lavender drink for my wife and a Moscow mule for myself. Everything there was fine and tasting well. My wife then had a corn chowder while I had a Cesar salad. The chowder was fine as was the salad, though I was surprised to find slivers of anchovies in my salad. For our entrees my daughter had the chicken strips and fries while both my wife and I both had a grilled ribeye, medium rare. The steak itself was cooked to our liking but they were both dry and quite bland. The steaks were topped with some chimichurry but it did nothing to enhance the steak's flavor. As a side we had some potatoes which were also pretty bland. My daughter chicken strips were probably the most flavorful when it came to our entrees. It's a shame as this restaurant was has some real classic charm to it. Like I said, great service and nice views but considering what we paid for our meal, it just wasn't worth it. I, seriously, doubt we'll return.

We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary, and had seen some spotty reviews on Drakes. We’ll, whatever transpired between those reviews and our visit erased any spots. We had a delightful evening, starting with a personable and efficient server, and going through very good main courses, and out to dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and would hope for a repeat performance on our next stay at the Lodge.

They tried so hard to make things right: not the servers fault. The manager and whomever creates the systems need to rethink how orders are delivered. By the wait staff or the bussers? Wrong salad, then delayed salad, no spoon for the soup, then the entree served right after the salad that wasn't even partially eaten. Graciously comped the salad and soup, but it was our 30th wedding anniversary, and the experience just sucked the life out of me.

We went to Drakes for our anniversary, looking forward to a wonderful experience. It was, overall, awful. Plus side: the food was good and nicely presented; the service was friendly and satisfactory -- and generous: dessert was comped and presented on a "Happy Anniversary" plate. There were two oddities. First, the server removed from the table setting salad forks and tea spoons once we ordered. In fact we needed neither, but the effect was a statement that 'we need the silverware.' Second, just as we were about to pour additional water from the (table water) bottle on our table which we handn't yet used, a busser jetted by, reached all the way across our table, saying nothing, and took our bottle and gave it to another table. Unfortunately, that's all the "good." The volume of noise in the dining room was unbearable. It was certainly among the loudest restaurants in which we have ever dined and it was as loud as the loudest bar we've ever been in. As the evening went on, some diners asked for their dessert in takeaway boxes so they could exit. Others insisted on being seated in a separate room, something we wished we had done, but the volume accelerated over the whole time we were there. The center of the noise was a six-top and a four-top in the center of the room. Those diners literally shouted at each other. At the six top, on two different occasions men stood up and screamed at others at the table, included even some cursing. The laughing at both tables was the loudest version of guffaw that can be imagined. We heard staff respond that they were "aware" in response to an observation about the noise by one of the guests. But nothing was done to address the noise makers. The room itself is poorly designed acoustically for pleasant dining, but that is neither an excuse not explanation for the staff's toleration of the noise-makers. We have stayed at the Lodge in the past. We hope to stay in the future. We will never return to dine at Drakes

A stop off on way to airport and we’ll worth it. The restaurant is nicely laid out and the dozen oysters were tasty and great value The view across Bodega bay is stunning and on list to stay next time in the area

I had the chicken which was very good. My only observation was that the wedge of cabbage served with it was barely cooked and could basically not be cut with a knife. Other than that the ambiance and view were lovely. And the service was excellent.

Excellent food for the most part and a great view over Bodega Bay. But their unusual take on ceviche was too spicy with no warning and main courses were limited, but the port chops were excellent. This restaurant used to feature duck - it would be nice to bring it back.
