    Amazing restaurant, the food tastes amazing. This was our second time visiting and it still was just as amazing and it's great they accommodate Gluten Free diets.

    We have eaten here several times over the last year when visiting our daughter at University. We choose to eat here because it's a great atmosphere, its immaculately clean and the staff are amazing. The food is lovely and you are always guaranteed a fantastic meal. We will be back alot! Thankyou team Drakes!

    Brilliant food as always and very friendly staff. The glass of prosecco on the house for the birthday meal was very much appreciated. A fantastic visit as always. Would definitely recommend!

    We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. A personal card was ready for us and our drinks were free. This made the experience extra special. The staff were all very attentive along and the food that was nice and hot. Very generous portions. Thank you to everyone

    Very generous portions of delicious food served here. The fish was fresh, batter light and crunchy and the chips home made with a tasty fluffy interior. I’ve never seen such a large portion of salad on the side of which all was fresh with a perfect amount of simple dressing. The bowl of scraps we asked for was also generous. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Our teens ordered chicken bites, again a large portion of what appeared to be chicken breast in crispy batter. We left feeling very satisfied but not uncomfortable, it was the perfect meal to set us up for our ghost tour which left very close by at Juggergate.

    The best fish and chips my wife and I have had in a long time. We've always had takeout for years and this is the first time we've used the restaurant, trust me it won't be the last. A real York gem!
