After rough wait, even w reservations, food was great. Manager comped wine for wait. Great service, atmosphere, small.
Had a great meal ---we all tasted around the table and there were NO duds! All were so very tasty and nice big portions!
An excellent experience overall. The duck fat sazerac will blow your mind. Looking forward to trying more menu items on next visit.
you'll go for the Popcorn and come back for the service
As always, Drake has great food and is a fun place to dine prior to attending events at the Tower Theatre.
The Drake again lived up to its reputation as my favorite restaurant in Bend. Fantastic appetizers, drinks (Salty Bob) and dinner. Service was top notch.
Drake ALWAYS does a great job. Our dinner was terrific and Mark did an awesome job as our server. Super hospitality as usual from Devon and John. This place is one of our "go to" restaurants and we always love coming back. Nice job Drake!
Tower Theater presentation. It was cancelled at last minute so we stayed at Drakes longer.
Consistently great food with enough creativity to make it real special and so flavorful but not so off the charts that you don't want to try it. Great cocktails and the staff is alway accommodating with inquiries/special requests. A lot of terrific choices in Bend to eat out but this is one at the top of my list.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. It is a little noisy and the closer you are to the bar section the louder it is. That said the staff were exceptional and the food was really good. I would definitely eat there again.
Our fish dish was perfectly cooked and complemented with wonderful sauce and vegetables. It seems prices have continued to go up but certainly a candidate for special occasion dinners if you don't mind the noise level. Service by all staff was outstanding.
Lively but very noisy!
Food was fantastic! A little crowded but generally it’s not super crowded. Love the ambiance there.
Friendly service, noisy, but special feature steak came overdone when asked for medium.
Amazing as usual. This place is my go-to, adopted hometown haunt for a reason. Wonderful people serving wonderful food in a wonderful space.
Dined for a birthday celebration. The restaurant hasnt made up its mind about being a nice dinner or a fancy cocktail bar. The food felt 15% too expensive for what it is. Good drinks, meh service, decent food, not a great value.
Surely one of the better restaurants in Bend. Excellent service
We have been to Drake on several occasions and have found it to be a great, reliable place. The only disappointment this time is that it took at least 30 minutes to get our food order out. We were on our way to a 7PM concert at the Tower Theatre and really thought that arriving by 5:15PM was going to provide plenty of time for the 6 of us to enjoy the meal and the special occasion. We were rushed in eating our food and never got to have another glass of wine or dessert. Even though we were celebrating a birthday in our group.
Great Service and food was very good. We did think the menus was a little limited.
Easily our favorite restaurant in Bend, we love Drake for its delicious food and great service. It is our first recommendation to friends when they ask for a dining suggestion. We love the carrot hummus, grilled kale salad, and the burgers best. I’m a bit ashamed to admit I haven’t even tried other items because when we go, that’s exactly what I crave! My husband has had a few other items and enjoyed them all.
service was excellent, the cast iron baked hot cornbread was absolutely fantastic amaxzing flavor
the menu had a lot of fancy names that scared us a little but one we tasted the dishes it was very good
we substituted the side dishes from one of other entree's and they were extremely accommodating the flat iron steak and a gratin potatoes had amazing flavor also
the corn bread was so good the table next to us ordered it also
Seafood hit. The new co chef Bryan from Seattle made a wow wow taste on the Walu special and I was so glad I had it. The crisp on the top edge was so tasty and one of a kind. This is our second wonderful fish meal this yeAr and it’s only feb 2.
We always enjoy Drake. Tonite was first Friday and it was a overall fab dinner. We missed seeing Devon and glad to see Bo and Ted. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I've frequented this restaurant several times and it's always fantastic. Great atmosphere - we love sitting at the bar when it's just the two of us. I have food allergies and they always have delicious gluten free, vegetarian options for me while offering beautiful, local options for my carnivorous husband. They recently opened a second restaurant, The Washington, which is also fantastic. While these restaurants aren't low cost, they provide great value and it's a meal you'll not forget.
We had the best customer service and the food was awesome!
The food was great and we had a lovely table by the front window. I will be dreaming about the Bendi! Sadly, the service was not there. I think they forgot us.
Took the wife for a birthday dinner. Got comped a lovely dessert as house policy. Attentive but not overbearing service, good eats, worth repeat visits. As a food town, Bend punches well above its weight.
Outstanding as always. Our favorite restaurant in Bend!
Nice restaurant in the heart of downtown. The bone marrow was a lot of fun and delicious and the Mac and cheese was incredible. The pork chop was dry and the popcorn as free appetizer seemed weird and out of place, but hey free popcorn. Will definitely be back to try more from the foodie friendly menu.
Overall It was great. Made a reservation and we walked right in and we were seated. Only reason 4 and not 5 stars is the owner/management had our waiter (who was working his butt off) tending the bar by himself and waiting tables. So service was lacking a little, had two empty glasses for a while but our waiter kept a smile on his face as he wiped away the sweat off his forehead. He was running back and forth to check on tables take orders and make everyone's drinks get ice, deal with the co2 that wasn't working etc. Ridiculous! Come on now for a place that cost $70 for two cheeseburgers (very good) and 4 drinks they can afford another person on staff.
Awesome business dinner with brand new hire who was indeed impressed. Server recommended the perfect appetizer and beers to get the evening rolling. Awesome steak special cooked to perfection (and I'm pretty picky). Server was always available just when we needed without interrupting the business discussion. We'll be bringing more business dinners to the Drake.
Quality of food was not as good as the past. Fish special was bland and not as described. Salads served were ok but not what was ordered.
As always, had a very nice dining experience!!! Friendly staff, good food and wine!!
Great place for lunch. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. Service was great...very attentive and friendly.
The filet is wonderful!
Oregon cod was super
Everything was fantastic!
Drake is ALWAYS terrific and we had another great experience. Thanks to John, Devin and the whole team at DRAKE!
Cool vibe and great service. Food preparation was average. All three of us ordered beef and none were quite the right level of “done ness”. Really nice deserts and cocktails though.
Everything was so delicious! The cauliflower, the burger, the pork chop, and the cocktails were all executed perfectly. The butterscotch pudding though might have been my favorite. Fresh real whipped cream that was barely sweetened topped the incredibly decadent, slightly burnt sugar/caramel silken body of pudding. On top of the delicate fluffy cream were bits of candied pecans to make for the perfect textural contrast in each bite. The richness was just over the line to be naughty and so amazing! No snack-pack pudding here!!
Great service, great food, awkward table, but good experience all around.
