Thought the would have more of a Cajun flare, the pasta was ok!
Ordered mix grill, the lobster was bland, over cooked. Filet and shrimp was good. Crab dip was cold and chips were stale. Charbroiled oysters were good as always. Disappointed in taste of the lobster. Food quality has gone down since opening of the restaurant. This was my third time to eat there. I will give It one more try. Hopefully this was just an off night for the restaurant
Food was DELICIOUS and band was good, but service was something left to be desired. Had a 7:00 reservation. Was not seated until 7:45. Food was slow coming out. Had to ask for silverware and refills. The poor waitress was overloaded. She was doing the best she could. She had 2 big parties, plus 7 or 8 other smaller tables. We got there a few minutes to 7. Did not leave til almost 10.
We arrived at 6:15 for our 6:15 reservation, and were seated immediately. (I noticed within a few minutes there were several parties waiting). Our server appeared shortly, and her service was excellent. The appetizer was char-broiled oysters, their signature dish, and they were marvelous, flavorful and hot and seasoned perfectly. Shortly thereafter we ordered our meal. After a few minutes (12? 15?) our server came to refill our drinks and apologize for our meal being delayed, although I didn't think it had been an usual wait. A few minutes later she brought us a sizeable bowl of seafood gumbo, completely om her own, and apologized for the delay. It was excellent, and our meal arrived shortly thereafter. The entrees were very good as well; a shrimp/eggplant dish and Shuckee Duckee (braised duck, and spiral pasta with oysters in cream sauce. We had planned to try the bread pudding for dessert, but after the (complimentary) gumbo we passed.
The ambiance was very pleasant, if not really quiet. There was a band playing blues and New Orleans standards. The food was excellent. And the service was tops. We didn't think our wait was excessive, but the server brought us gumbo (gratis) anyway, a welcome touch.
The charbroiled oysters were incredible. They're a must-have. Everything else was delicious as well. If you're hungry enough for dessert following your meal, definitely try the cheesecake.
Drinks were done right. Service was great, very personable and professional. Food was..... meh. Wasnt bad, just not great. My "seared tuna" was cooked almost all the way through. Flavor was ok, but far from raw, seared tuna as it should be.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Place was packed open table reservations worked flawlessly. Food was fantastic service was slow but to be expected with a busy busy night.
Food was mediocre. Only Charboiled oysters were good. Service wasn't great as well.
Our waitress was awesome. The food was good and nicely prepared. Temp was not what it should be and detracted from the dish.
Drago's is a great place to dine. The atmosphere, service, food, etc. is excellent. I'm definitely coming back.
Food was great. Server was excellent. Will come again.
We had a table of eight and it was a birthday celebration. The staff was very attentive, and the food was amazing. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Jackson.
The experience would have been great BUT THE LIVE MUSIC WAS WAY TOO LOUD.
Waiters and Waitresses are awesome! Every time we are in Jackson MS we eat at Draggos
Best chargrilled oysters in the Jackson area! Delicious!
As always, the food was very good. Try the ravioli. Grilled oysters are great! Mazi, our server, was great.
This was my second time to Drago's. The first was with my family, and it was an excellent experience. This was a business dinner for 8. The service was just terrible. Waitress would disappear for several minutes at a time. The delay between us getting our food and checking up was just too great. We opted to get dessert and coffee somewhere else as we did not want to wait any longer. Also server dumped salad dressing all over jacket of one of our guests. They cleaned up, but manager did not come by to check up on us, staff kinda blew it off, and no discount was offered. The food was good and we all enjoyed our meals. They also had a live band playing that was too loud for our occasion.
Good food and service
I was not pleased with having confirmed reservations with Open Table, I had a thirty minute wait once I arrived for my confirmed reservation time. Why make reservations if the restaurant will not honor your reservations.
Service was outstanding! Drinks and food were very good too.
Our meal was delicious and drinks were great!! We will be back again!!
Our reservation was for 6:15. We were promptly seated and drink orders taken. Bailey was our server and she was fabulous. Charbroiled oysters were out quickly and the food was served right after. There were 11 of us and we could not have asked for anything more. This is our second visit with a large group and, once again, it was perfect. We enjoy coming here and will return at every opportunity.
This establishment is an exceptional place for a romantic dinner date, business dinner or for a great first experience with grilled oysters. I never that I would eat them, but they and the other meals I have had have been amazing.
Great food and great service. I definitely plan to return.
I loved I will continue to eat there
Took my Grandmother here for her birthday, she loved it, and the only thing she really loves is ME and staying at home!
Its a chain restaurant but the food has bold flavors, its simple dining made delicious.
it was a wonderful experience
server was unattentive....music was good but too loud; hard to converse..... the mixed grill has good taste but the portions are too small for the price
Great food at a reasonable value. Live band was very loud but played great music.
Dinner with my sister and her husband visiting from out of town. We were seated at a table near the oyster bar. Unfortunately, the table was directly under the AC vent and it was uncomfortably cold. Literally, wind chill was involved. We asked to be moved to a different table and were moved to a 4 top that was barely large enough to accommodate the four of us. Added to that, the noise from the vent hood over the grill made conversation almost impossible. We were finally moved to a booth that was much quieter.
Food was just okay. We started with the grilled oysters, which were really, really small. Like, the size of a nickel. We got more food and flavor from the bread served with the oysters than the oysters. The entrees were again, just okay. I would not recommend the oysters Herridura.
