The latest addition to the Aruba Wine & Dine roster of fine restaurants is Dragonfly, located in the heart of Arawak Garden across from Barceló Resort along the high rise strip. This cozy indoor/outdoor Japanese eatery is open daily from 4 pm – 11:30 pm, with live music from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and the bar open until 12 am.

The menu features combos of sushi rolls and sashimi for 2, 4, and 6 persons, as well as traditional ramen with veggies, shrimp, chicken or beef. Desserts of Nutella crepes, banana tempura and fried ice cream are perfect finales to authentic Japanese selections. Included in the premium beverage and cocktail list are specialty drinks such as the ginger sake-tini and lychee martini, as well as an impressive international wine list. A trendy new spot for dinner, dessert or drinks, Dragonfly also offers free parking for patrons.

Service was ok, the waiting staff took forever each time we asked to get something. The food was ok, nothing spectacular for the price we paid. Over priced.

Sushi ordered were tasty. Service was good. Overall a good experience. The entertainment that night was a little too loud making it a little difficult to have a nice conversation at the table. Otherwise a noce place to have sushi.

The sushi was inedible - the fish was not good and no sushi rice on the rolls. Pad thai was a bit better but too oily and lacked flavor.

The good was very tasty, and service wonderful. However, I had a stomach ache after the meal. Looking back in it, the tofu in the miso soup did not taste ok.

Tourist trap !! Fake Asian cuisine Nothing resembled real Asian food overcooked,frozen veg,veg sushi with one piece of lettuce sticking out,wonton soup that was dark and murkey with nasty wontons, Pad Thai filled with bean sprouts and no flavor that is authentic. Cooked in the oven ? ,crispy pot stickers that crumbled when bit into. This was bad !!! Poor waitress had no clue about ingredients in dishes. Food was truly inedible if you know good food. Okay people were there eating but suspect they were attracted to the $19.95 appetizers,main course,dessert everyday special. The food was very exspensive for bad food.
They have a guy who calls out to people and to hear him describe the food you would think you were in the best restaurant in japan, or China. If you are in Aruba keep walking !!!

I came on time for the early bird menu. I had the grouper butterfly, Mongolian beef, and vanilla ice cream (more flavors are available although vanilla is the only flavor listed). All were fabulous. The entree serving size left me wanting more, though I was satisfied by the time I finished the entire dinner. I will definitely return next time I am in Aruba!

Waiter was not familiar with the menu. Could not answer questions. Pad Thai was awful. All you could taste was salt. No flavor and served lemon rather than lime. Orange chicken was soggy. Way too much sauce. The eel was dry and the rolls were sub par at best. Would never go back

We were very disappointed to see, when we left the restaurant, a billboard advertising "early bird specials" which included the entrees that we ordered. At our table we were never informed of these specials even though we were well within the time period for the promotion. The reason we did not see the billboard on entering was due to a crowd in front of it. In addition the Mongolian beef dish was relatively tasteless comprising just beef (which was tender) a brown sauce and sesame seeds.

Dragonfly Sushi is a newer restaurant to Aruba and definitely worth a visit. Tucked in the group of restaurants (Salt & Pepper on corner) near Barcelo' Hotel, it has a good vibe and the sushi was well prepared and delicious. Kamachi was fresh as was all sushi. Locally sourced, the sushi was fresh, rolls were unique. We also had some of the noodle dishes which were really good. Pricing was also very reasonable for Aruba. Waitress staff was excellent. Good find.

We had a reservation for 6 people. We were told as soon as we sat down that there was another large party next to us (8) and it was very busy. However besides our table and that one it was not busy at all.
We waited 30 minutes before placing the food order. Which then took another 20-30 minutes to get everything (it didn’t all come out together). The kids loved their noodles but the sushi was just fair.

Here in Aruba from New York for the first time. Tried many restaurants along Palm Beach...and this is the only restaurant we all agreed to revisit again before we leave for home next week. Outstanding sushi and also great wok stir fry....prices are extremely reasonable compared to neighboring restaurants..... A must visit if you are staying in palm beach... A short walk from all hotels.

Bediening was slecht georganiseerd, de sushi was goed. Na afloop getracht tot 2x cappuccino te bestellen, werd 2x normale koffie. Lag aan het apparaat, gebeurde wel vaker volgens de bediening...

We really enjoyed the food.Went two days in a row just to try the other dishes.All were amazing.Our favorite roll was the appetizer, the coco roll.Excellent.Friendly staff and waitresses and service was excellent.Would definitely recommend this wonderful place.Great ambiance.

Amazing food and sushi nestled in a bustling section. Sadly our server while young and sweet seemed to keep forgetting we were her table. Were it not for a more senior server we would have had no service whatsoever. We would have ordered another round of sushi and drinks had the service been more on point.

We were on a family vacation. The service was TERRIBLE! Food was awful. I do not recommend this restaurant. There are many other restaurants in Aruba that are exceptional.

The wait was ridiculous for the outcome. Ordered 2 sushi rolls and pot stickers. Each came out separately after waiting over an hour for the first item. One roll was incorrect, they took it back and we waited another 20 minutes for the correct one to be delivered. The rolls were greasy and luke-warm temperature (for me the fish should be cold). One bright spot was the pork pot stickers - they were very good.

Horrible. Place allowed us to reserve a table for six and was closed. Tried calling phone number and the number did not work. Unlikely to ever try to dine there again.

We enjoyed our sushi at Draonfly. Hanukah, the manager and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and inviting. All of the sushi rolls we tried were generous and delicious. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Aruba.

na aankomst leuk onthaald maar de reservering had zij zo genaamd niet doorgekregen. na aantonen van de mail waren ze nog verbaast en vertelde leuk dat wij niet konden krijgen voor wat we hadden gereserveerd dus erg teleurgesteld. wel kregen wij een aanbod voor duurder eten van de kaart met 10 % korting maar geen sushi waar wij eigenlijk voor kwamen. wij zij dus weg gegaan en met een grote teleurstelling.

First dinner at Aruba, we came Aruba for vacation, I booked this place before we explore Aruba restaurants. Found this place on OpenTable, it is the only asian fusion resturant draw me attention since review is not bad, nagitive is too long to wait for our food delivery from kichen

The food was very good. And our waitress was nice. But our entrees were served almost 30 minutes apart. Two of us got them first, and the other two (our kids) almost half hour later. No apology or even explanation why. I know that mistakes happen, but a restaurant should be courteous and let their diners know what's happening with their food. Turns out the kitchen forgot to make my daughter's noodle dish. But no one came out and told us so we all just sat there waiting and trying to flag down someone to ask about status. That was very disappointing.

I would have to say Dragonfly was the worse dining experience we have ever had. After being seated we order our food and the wait began. First, I had to flag down the waitress just to get water. I would ask a waitress about our food and she would go to check and not come back, this happened twice. We order some Ramen soup for our kids and they were getting very hungry. 45 minutes have past and the last waitress I asked was nowhere to be seen. At this point, if we were not on vacation we would have gotten up and left the restaurant, in retrospect I wished we had. I walk backed to the bar to ask why it was taking so long for our food. They claimed that they were too busy, but our food was almost done. In my observation, The restaurant did not seem too busy at all. The neighboring restaurants in the food area seemed to be much more busy. Most of the servers were milling by the bar.

After 1 hour and 15 mins from the time we ordered, our food arrived. The Ramen we ordered for our kids was in a broth that look like it came out of a box. One bowl had barely had any noodle at all and just some scraps of chicken and a lot of shredded vegetables that they seem to use as filler in all of our dishes. Both our $20+ dollar entries were the size of appetizers, but thankfully so because the food was awful. My wife had a beef dish with meat that was grey, chewy and under seasoned. My dish was fish that had been battered, bread and fried to the size and consistency of two small hockey pucks.

I do not know how this restaurant had 4 stars on Opentable. Dragonfly is poorly run, the food is poorly executed, the portion sizes are tiny and the service is non-existent.
