Food and service was fantastic. The black pudding spring rolls were delightful. A hidden gem!

Really disappointed as I've been many times before and really enjoyed it. Booked lunch for a Birthday Celebration at 1pm on 20/9 and from the moment we sat down it felt rushed. We were pressed to order and plates were banged down on the table every time. After our main course we had dessert menu thrust down straight away and said "not at the moment thank you" which hopefully allowed us a lull prior to having something else. However the waitress then came back almost immediately, tapped her watch several times and said they were closing in ten minutes! Had I known this at any point I'd have booked my table for an earlier time and to be honest I've never felt so rushed in my life!!! Utterly ridiculous.

A couple of years ago I would have given this place 5 stars all the way, especially the signature dish/ingredient of pak choi. We had char siu dishes and salt/chilli chicken plus a side of Pak choi. It was very bland and the same as any other random Chinese. just routine sweet and sour. Pak choi was limp and soggy ( used to be so crunchy) and a very small portion which to be fair was added to when we queried the size although quality was in no way improved. main dishes were served with large amounts of fresh salad leaves?? presumably to make the dish look bigger but cold salad and hot sweet and sour? Decor, furniture and menus are old tired and grubby. such a shame as in my opinion this was once one of the best Asian fusion restaurants in Glasgow this is a classic case of stagnation and a lack of investment. We have eaten here several times over the years but we will not return unless there are major improvements.

Reserved a table for two in advance. Got seated in the quiet corner at the back, which would have been great had the table not been wobbly. (How difficult is it to fix a wonky table???) Got reseated at another table with a stable table. My partner liked her sweet chicken dish but I found my beef dish to be just too salty and too much of the wrong sort of flavour. The vegetable wrap sort of thing we had for starters were quite nice. This was my second visit and on my previous visit, I had the chicken katsu curry, which again I found it not to my liking. One positive note about this place is that the food is served promptly, which suggests much of the dishes available on the pre-theatre menu are prepared in advance. It is ideally situated close to the theatre so it would be a great pre-theatre meal venue but if not for the theatre, I can't think of any reasons to dine here specifically.

Opposite Theatre Royal Glasgow They are well geared up for people going to the theatre particularly on the pre-theatre menu. We arrived at 5.45 and were finished by 6.30 but did had only two courses and did not have coffee We certainly did not feel rushed. We had gone to see a Comedy about a Bank Robber and thought there may have been something happening in the foyer before the start as happened when this company did The Play that Went Wrong. The food at Drogon-I was up to its usual high standard and good value for money.
