Chef Celestino Drago has created a menu representative of the cultural diversity of Italy. The concept of “Contemporary Italian Cuisine”, emphasizes local dishes, fresh, high quality ingredients and old flavors that have defined Italian cuisine for centuries and which are revisited to create a truly eclectic menu. The entrance to the underground parking structure is located on the South-West corner of 5th and Flower Streets. Valet parking is located inside the parking structure on Level A. Elevator access to Drago Centro from Level A is provided.
Lunch Valet: 11am - 5pm: $5 for 3 hours maximum.
Dinner Valet: 5pm - 3am: Free for 4 hours maximum.
Guests who stay beyond the validated hours will be charged the posted rates.

I have dined at Drago many times. This time was a bust. First me and my guest had to literally flag down someone to even help. It seemed as if they put us at a table which was unassigned to anyone on the wait staff. Second it was ten minutes before we were even asked what drinks we wanted. We had to ask what the specials were but the young man we asked apparently wasn't a waiter but a bus boy so we really couldn't tell us. When are food arrived we were not even asked if we wanted fresh parmesan. The food was placed on the table and the young man who dropped it off said enjoy and walked away. While my guest's food was warm my plate was cool. To say we were an afterthought is putting it mildly. The only reason I did not say anything while we were there is because of my guest.
Food was just so-so; nothing to get excited about. I was really looking forward to seeing this restaurant decorated for the holidays, because of it's location. It was not decorated at all. Very disappointing.
I was not surprised by the 20% fee added to the bill for our party of 6. However, this fee should have been calculated PRIOR TO TAX, which was not the case. While our service was fine, it was far from outstanding, and not worthy of a 20% tip. Staff was friendly, at least.
There are many restaurants in the downtown L.A. area that offer a much better dining experience, with better food and better ambiance.
My wife and I ate here last Saturday evening. We were very excited to try it since it was included in Jonathan Gold's 101 best LA restaurants. Nice location. We were seated easily before our reservation time.
I was a bit confused over who was our waiter throughout the evening. It felt like we had a bit too many and it confused them. I will explain. One waiter took our wine order and another took our food order. We started with a Caesar salad which I can only describe as dry and awful. It would have been nice if one of the waiters offered some fresh crushed black pepper to flavor it. We got our entrees, my wife a pasta dish and I had a meat dish. Both were shockingly underseasoned. Almost blah. So far, not one person asked how our meal was. I flagged down another waiter and asked for some salt. Once salt was on the food, it tasted much better.
After not wanting to chance dessert, we had to flag down yet a different waiter for our bill. Still another waiter took the bill away with the credit card. He returned it at the same exact time the person whom I believe to be our main waiter, dropped off our bill. I had to explain to him that we already paid!
Not once during our entire visit did anyone ask us how our meal is or was. Even walking out, the hostess just said "bye." This meal was such a disappointment that my wife who never complains about food was ready to give some feedback. But nobody asked. I am shocked this restaurant was included in the top 101!
We went to Draco’s for my mother’s 60th birthday to do a wine pairing dinner. Unfortunately they did not offer a wine pairing menu that night but were very accommodating and ended up creating one for us. The food was delicious and the wines were fantastic. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines. Fantastic evening and worth the cost
I had the scallops dish. It was a three-piece scallop dish, two of them tasted OK but the third one tasted really bad and very fishy. The waiter asked me how was the meal after I finished and so I told him. He went to the chef who then told him that the dish was fine, if two scallops were OK then the third one has to be OK as well. I did not want the answer back or was looking for any a free meal. Basically, that answer ruined our night.
Well appointed restaurant, beautiful layout, service was super and the food was very well prepared and eye pleasing.
The selections we ordered were uniquely prepared and the spice/sauce really positively impacted the taste buds.
Wine list was complete and reasonably priced
Honestly I can’t remember the last time I waited as long as we did to receive our food. Just the bread was 20 minutes, the soup took at least 40 minutes and it was another 30 minutes before we received our main courses. It was unfortunate timing because there was a corporate event on the patio that had more attendees than expected but it was too loud to hear my dining companions’ conversation. For the price we paid for dinner the service and quality of the food was disheartening especially with so many fantastic dinner options in downtown LA. We had a friend visiting from out of town and I was embarrassed by my restaurant choice. The cauliflower soup was well done and big enough to share, the short ribs were good but the risotto was so aldente I’m not sure they even cooked it
Drago has been my favorite fine dining Italian restaurant in LA for years. I've hosted countless business dinners including two client events with over 40 people in each case. I've bragged about it to my wife and finally had the opportunity to take her there. I was beyond disappointed in our experience. The service was very slow, the server finally brought our meals out and they had the wrong order for my wife so we had to wait again and to add insult to injury a couple of tables who were seated well after us were enjoying their meals before we were served. I was embarrassed because I had such I praises for Drago. Regrettably, Bill Suits
I had the Lasagna and it was okay. Reminded me of Airline food (I know that is cruel.) Preparation was good, taste okay, price $18 for a small portion. My wife had the salmon which was very good.....again portions were modest for the price. Didn't have the chicken but someone at our table did and it looked good.
Ambiance was very nice. Service exceptional. Valet Parking in the lower level is very helpful especially in downtown LA
This was my fourth time at Drago Centro but my dining partner's first time. Overall we had a good dining experience with two issues. My dining partner ordered the lasagna bolognese but found it a little greasy for his taste. Otherwise the appetizer, soup, my entree, and dessert were very good.
As far as the ambience, this time we were seated in the patio area. My seat faced the window and I had a very strong glare of white light from the building next door's lobby. This was unpleasant it would be great if the restaurant had some way of blocking this glare into the dining room.
This restaurant was by far the ultimate worst experience that we have ever had. The waiters were patronizing and sarcastic .
The food was unremarkable . If the food was offered for free, I would hesitate to taste it.
The wine was abodilutly horrible. When voicing the issue to the "sommelier "; if the person could realistically be named sommelier,
He was somehow able to tell us that a wine which had oxidized tasted of litchi and flower aromatics. The experience was surreal at best.
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy .
The investors of this restaurant should seriously vet the personnel they hire to represent them .
Overall it was an average dining experience and considering other reviews and the value compared to other restaurants of similar caliber, it fell far below expectations. Scallops were perfection, but the pastas and pizza were less than desirable and the desserts were subpar. Would not recommend.
This was our first time at Drago and were looking for something new. Great website convinced
us to try Drago and we were not disappointed. The waiter was friendly and helpful, and the wine list was enough to have multiple choices. Our salads were outstanding and main courses
we’re exceptional. We topped off dinner with a great dessert and after dinner drinks.
Good “buzz”inside with wonderful views around the restaurant. We’ll be back.
Pleasantly surprised; fantastic meal and speedy attentive service. Elegant without being fussy or prentious. Busboys and support staff were particularly warm. Our waiter did the job well, but was a bit odd & cold; maybe just an “off night” for him? Nicely appointed dining room, but noisy—not a good fit for quiet conversation. The salads were great, truffle crusted chicken breast was especially juicy & delicious, and the Tomahawk steak for two was amazing (they cook “steakhouse” temps, so order up from your usual if u don’t like super rare). They have a great separate glass enclosed private dining room, and some other larger tables for bigger groups. Overall a lovely experience—thanks!
The person at the desk and the wine director are great; one of the two bartenders was abrupt and not helpful
The food used to be a strong point : the octopus was overcooked but they redid it
The pastas specially the pappardelle with pheasant their specialty was bland and the short rib average
They need to go back to where they were before: good solid italian italian restaurant in downtown
I was very happy that the hostess mentioned the construction on flower Street when she reconfirmed my reservation. I did have a hard time finding the entrance to the restaurant since the regular elevator to the restaurant was not working. There were signs placed around all the doors but there are a lot of doors and it's all glass. I thought the service was really good. Our water glasses were refilled and our plates taken away and silverware replaced promptly. We did have an issue with the risotto been under cooked but they promptly replaced it. The waiter did say that it was cooked al dente but I've never had rice cooked al dente and this race was hard. He should have just replaced it and not said anything.
We dine at this restaurant often and have never been disappointed. Food is great, service attentive and ambiance lavish. Great for a pre-theatre dinner or special occasion. Parking is easy and inexpensive. Construction in the area makes finding garage a bit trickey.
