Never disappoint ! Perfect Italian restaurant ! My favorite by far !
This is my favorite downtown restaurant and we enjoyed dining here before performances at the Ahmanson Theatre. Service this evening was exceptional by Alfonso. The meal of ceasar salad, a special pasta, and ciopinno could not have been better. The pasta was very pricey and I should have asked the price in advance. We will be back again soon.
Drago never disappoints. The farro salad was wonderful. Truly one of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles
Always good service and food quality ...
Drago is one of the BEST restaurants in downtown...........and the reason is because it is consistent. We went Monday and I had black cod that I never wanted to finish because it was so delicious!!!! SO-we went back Thursday and I ordered the black cod again-and it was perfect again!!!! This is a truly great experience....and a wine list not to be matched!
Lovely setting, great food & conveniently located near the Central Library.
The location at the Peterson makes this very special. We went for lunch with our son but could see meeting friends and having a drink and food afterwards. Whole vibe is great. The pastas were excellent.
My guest and I both had the Corzetti, which was delicious, not heavy, but felt the entree could have had a little more crab, which left us wanting more. Drago is always good for lunch and dinner, and perhaps the next time I will avoid the Corzetti as my entree.
Absolutely the most amazing food and service ever! I need this back in Philadelphia.❤️
Good food, better ambiance!
Always a pleasure to have dinner here. Service is lovely, food is delicious, space is fantastic and the shuttle is good , too. See you soon
The EARTHQUAKE was marvelous!!!!
Everything was wonderful. Just a little to loud to have a normal level conversation.
Their tasting menu was perfectly delicious. What a fantastic array of taste. Service was as good as it gets. We will be coming back again.
The halibut was one of the best presentations we have been served . The papradelli pasta with roasted pheasant and wild mushrooms was also one of my favorites. We had limited time due to theatre tickets and delay due to traffic. Our server Ben speeded up the order so we could enjoy our meal. So appreciated and many thank yous, to Drago. my favorite downtown restaurant.
Great Branzino, excellent service from valet to hostess to wait ataff.
Our experience was beyond good. Our waiter , Mo, was exceptional. He was kind and treated us like treasured guests. The food was Devine and the ambience was very good.
Waiter basically ignored us. Bus person was more service-oriented than the waiter. Disappointing for a place like this. The food was fabulous, otherwise I would not return due to service issue.
From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you are treated like the most important person in the room. Everyone is attentive and engaging and not moving the meal forward so they can get another seating. OMG, the food is amazing, so fresh and cooked to perfection. Every mouthful is exquisite. We all had a different type of fish and all of our dishes were uniquely prepared. I've always had happy hour at Drago but never dared to try the fine dining experience. A night to remember forever!
I love all of Drago's restaurants! The food is very good as is the service.
Excellent, attentive staff. The food was fresh and tasty.
Early Father’s Day
Excellent service, spot-on wine and food recommendations, and amazing quality. Will definitely return.
Went there with my fiance with Pasta and Steak in mind, BUT the fish caught our eye and decided on the Halibut and the Black Cod. Did not dissapoint in the least. Perfectly cooked and the Cod was on top of the Risotto which was very tasty. The Halibut was accompanied by vegetables and sauces with some Polenta.
The wait staff was very attentive and on top of there game.
Only slight lack of attention to the Caesar, was a bit bland and lacked the X factor.
Overall there was dishes that looked really good to try for the future and will be back for sure.
First time there and not the last.
Very professional service. We went for an early dinner, so it was quiet and relaxing. I really enjoyed the garganelli pasta (like penne) with Italian sausage. The branzino was well-prepared with a crispy skin and light tender flesh.
Too noisy!!!! Too noisy!!!!Too noisy!!!!Too noisy!!!!Too noisy!!!!
Drago Centro has been one of my and my wife's all time favorite places. Dined there at least ten times. Which is why we were so sorely disappointed at our recent dinner celebrating our twin daughters' 18th birthdays and, with two of their friends, their graduation from High School. To recap:
1. It took over 20 minutes to get bread, after we had placed our beverage and dinner orders and received our drinks. and it only came after we asked for it. (Footnote: When I asked the waiter if we would be getting tapenade, which I remembered from earlier visits, he said he "didn't know what tapenade was." Apparently someone in the kitchen knew, and we did eventually get one tiny platter of it for our table of six.)
2. The salad courses --my wife ordered beet salad, I the Insalata di Mele-- were disappointing. Mine had almost no perceptible dressing. Even after I asked for and added additional dressing, the salad remained bland at best.
3. My first course, Caramelle pasta, was delicious, but ridiculously small -- at most an appetizer, scarcely an entrée.
4. For the entire two-plus hours that we were at the dinner, the waiter never once asked if I would like another beverage after my original vodka tonic was clearly empty 45 minutes after it had arrived.
5. My wife and I had ordered a fish entrée as a shared third course. But after everyone finished their second courses, the waiter put dessert menus in front of everyone. Shortly after, he belatedly remembered that we had another dinner course coming and removed the dessert menus. It was another ten minutes at least before that third course arrived -- again a disappointingly tiny serving of Black Cod on a bed of gummy risotto.
6. Our water glasses remained empty for at least the last 45 minutes that we were at the table, and were only filled when we asked just before departing.
7. The restaurant was never more than half full while we were there, so the dreadful service cannot be blamed on "too busy."
Poor quality of food!!!i ate at Drago Centro two years ago and the cuisine was much much better .Service was good and attentive on our lunch but this place needs to do quality food ,large big plate doesn’t mean anything to a costumer if the food doesn’t match .
Hope you will get better .
Exotic Italian creations. The venison was very mild in gaminess which was nice, but had a great flavor profile with the accompanying components of the dish (beets, pear, reduction sauce). The rabbit cannanoil was unique & excellent. The cannolo dessert was fabulous as well. Great wine selections.
Very upscale, & swanky decor. Service was impeccable!
I had lunch with my coworker visiting from New York.
Food quality: meh. I had the pink lady apple salad but the dressing (champagne vinaigrette) was a bit too sour. I also had 1/2 portion of the linguine with manila clams, and the pasta had no taste. The clams had strong wine taste, which was fine for me. I wish the pasta itself has some more seasoning.
Services: The service was very good!
My coworker arrived a little later (I was already seated), but when she told the hostess about my reservation, the hostess said she couldn’t locate me and the reservation. There was only hostess and she brought me to the table. It was really odd and the hostess didn’t even try to help. At the end my coworker walked around the dining room looking for me.
Drago remains one of my favorite go to restaurants in DTLA for both business and leisure dining. The food and service are consistently excellent and Stefano in particular is exceptional. He never fails to deliver on terrific food and wine recommendations (and attentive service) which invariably enhance the overall experience.
Their rabbit Cannelloni is simply the best!!!
We went for an early dinner after Disney Hall matinee on Sunday. Arrived before 5:PM, but the gracious staff let us in and served drinks. Nice room. Good pastas. Parking is a little tough. We finally found the parking entrance a little north of the restaurant. The narrow ramp takes you below building to valet service.
My wife and I both had fish. She had the Halibut and I had the Salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted great. The service was great. They kept checking up on us constantly. As soon as I finished the wine in my glass, he came over and poured the remainder of it in my glass.
Noise level was above 100 dBm, which is not good for anyone.
It is always a pleasure to visit Celestino's Drago Centro. Having enjoyed his food for many years
in more than one location, we have never been disappointed.
Also his wait staff are highly professional and most attentive to any requests.
Overall, the restaurant is good. I had a Caesar salad which was so so. It needed seasoning. The linguini and clams were good and my husband's risotto was excellent. We will come back again
I went to Drago Centro on a weeknight during a business trip because it was close to my hotel. I ordered the special that night, which was a black truffle pasta. It was delicious! I also had the gelato affogato for dessert, which I enjoyed. The service was great, and I would definitely go again.
Fantastic as always. Can’t wait to go back.
