Wonderful time spent with friends. Ryka celebrated his promotion, Michael celebrated his new employment with Stanford and we all celebrated with great friends, delicious food, and satisfying wine!!
Great Italian restaurant right downtown LA.
The best Italian restaurant in downtown LA!!!
The service was not up to par on my visit to Drago. I had to ask repeatedly to have my water and iced tea refilled. Waiter also was not friendly. Service needs work here.
It’s a lovely restaurant. I wish the food was better. I had the lobster linguine as recommended by our server. I was not impressed and my feeling was that it was recommended because it was the most expensive pasta on the menu. My companions had the branzino and the venison, both of which they enjoyed. My partner had the farfalle which he found underwhelming. I may come back again to give it another chance.
Good food, good service, great variety of choices on the menu.
Amazing place with excellent service. Will be returning!
I have dined at Drago Centro several times. The food at Drago Centro is consistently excellent. My only two criticisms are that the tables are too close to each other (which Drago can definitely control) and it is too loud (which Drago cannot really control). Overall, I like this restaurant very much.
We had amazing dinner
Gorgeous restaurant at a very convenient downtown location. Excellent food, quality ingredients, and great service.
Always consistent.....great food! Nice wine list as well! Josh is an excellent server!! We keep coming back and will again! Perfect pre theatre spot and there’s a shuttle to the Music Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Good food, but over priced in my opinion, especially given the small portions of food. Still like it though.
As someone who has previously worked in the restaurant business, I am hesitant to go out to eat on New Year's Eve. Drago Centro did things right, though; controlled the number of menu options, had plenty of staff, and seated us quickly. The food was quite good; scallops and octopus were excellent, pappardelle was very good but not particularly special. The semifreddo was way better than mine! Service was attentive and timely but not particularly personable. Overall a remarkably pleasant experience.
Great service and wonderful food. Will be back
Just like it! It’s good!!!! All the way around. Hostesses were welcoming and accommodating - Dressy casual or dress up- either way- sophisticated but not pretentious- I like the varied age group, not “trendy” or loud. Service is better than good (not perfect) but they try to be, which is great. Dinners I’ve had -have never disappointed and they are consistent.
This was our second New Years celebration early dinner - and although they offered a Prix fixe menu - we had plenty of other options- including choices from pf menu if we desired. (That’s the way to go when you have a crowd with diverse food preferences). Very important- it’s Not too loud- we can hear each other speak and enjoy our conversations. Sometimes it’s more than the food - if the service and ambiance is bad - food may be better than good, but if the other things lack-- I won’t go back. ( only one thing I could think of - evenings in the patio can use a tad - just a bit more light).
We had a delicious meal here on NYE made extra special by the excellent service. Alize was very personable and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Would highly recommend!
Wonderful dinner before going to a show at the Music Center. The staff was attentive and courteous and the food was delicious!
Waiters did not have menu memorized. They did not understands which salads were on the menu, which pastas came with what, etc. Drago needs to do a better job at training these people and ensuring servers know menu and can articulate in a clear manner. Good thing food is delicious.
Our go-to place for many years - it continues to be the place for a delicious evening!
The food is on point ! perfect in every way. I can’t wait to go back and try more items. Our server was great, very attentive. We got a late reservation and felt a little rushed out of there because the main dining room was being closed off for a private event . Nonetheless, food, service , second to none. Can’t wait to go back ! Thank you all👍🏽.
Exceptional service and food was fantastic. Brought my hubby here for his birthday and we enjoyed it.
Portions are very small! Not worth the money. Pasta was sticky. Not what I’d expect from an Italian restaurant. Appetizers are NOT to share.
Food was good as expected. Service was lacking on this visit. Our server was distracted and he seemed more concerned with a larger party seated next to us. Couldn't get refills on iced tea during dinner nor coffee after dinner with dessert.
Excellent food and service
From a-z a true experience
Our Christmas Eve dining and the tasting menu selections were superb.
Great service and food, but definitely a typical small portion restaurant. Be sure to order a full course.
The food here is consistently on point! Delicate flavorful dishes.
OMG! This restaurant is absolutely amazing! My husband and I have been dining here for many years. So sorry to miss Celestino tonight. Brought friends for a pre Christmas dinner. The octopus was divine. The most tender we’ve ever had. Our steaks were done to perfection. The branzino was so moist. Who does this? Drago does this. A note to our fabulous waiter, Stefano from Milano. Thanks so much for having fun with us! You made our night! For those of you who haven’t tried this restaurant, it’s a must!
Service was good and the food was very good as well!
Overall, the food was very good. The Caesar salad was disappointing. Just chopped lettuce with light dressing. The linguini with clams was delicious, as was the branzino. The fish was very tasty but the size of the fish was much smaller than we had the last time we dined here. Service was excellent and we send compliments to Diego. We will return the next time we are in the Downtown area.
The service was not what I thought. They never replaced our silverware after appetizers. They forgot our coffee orders before bringing out our dessert.
Very good food & ambiance, but it took one hour for our food to arrive at lunch. Waiter was very nice and apologetic, but still it was frustrating especially since I was late getting back to my office because of it. I will give them another try when they are not so busy as the food was delicious.
Service was terrible. Waited for over 30 minutes for bread and pastas took over an hour after our order. Appetizer salad was missing the mozzarella for Caprese and a few tomatoes were bad. Ordered cappuccinos at the end and no sugar no spoon was provided. This is by far the worse experience I’ve had.
great food, reasonable price, free parking, nice people
Never a disappointment. We are always amazed at the new dishes and great service.
Love this place.
Over the top noisy.
Pretentious environment, without the substance to back it up.
Expensive without the value.
Exceptional service & meal. Servers were attentive and helpful in making suggestions, especially with regards to the wine. The scallops were some of the best cooked I’ve ever had. Would absolutely return!
Manager was incredibly experienced and helpful throughout the night. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or date night. Thank you Drago!
