DRAGO Centro’s unique interior is designed by acclaimed Los Angeles based designer Stanley Felderman, who is internationally renowned for creating modern buildings, interiors and product with a playful twist.
Their rabbit Cannelloni is simply the best!!!
My wife and I both had fish. She had the Halibut and I had the Salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and tasted great. The service was great. They kept checking up on us constantly. As soon as I finished the wine in my glass, he came over and poured the remainder of it in my glass.
Fantastic as always. Can’t wait to go back.
Service was spotty. They would overlook things like I had no lemon in my Arnold
Palmer but all my friends did in theirs. Another example, everyone was provided for olive oil but someone was forgotten and had to request it. Another incident, everyone was given dark napkins except one person (who was wearing a dark suit).
Also I’ve always had the burrata salad when I eat at Dragos. It’s one of my favorite dishes there. This time , the outer of the burrata has a rind. I’ve NEVER experienced that there. I had convinced my friends to order it since I love it so much and they had the same outer “skin” to the burrata. Other than that my pasta was great.
Good food, good service.
Staff was attentive and courteous. They made sure we felt welcome and our meal was an enjoyable experience. The décor and seating areas were very nice and the outdoor space added to the charm of the restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday with our daughter and the restaurant acknowledged her special day which she very much enjoyed.
Excellent service. I came here for a anniversary dinner and the food was delicious, not to mentioned dessert. The chicken I ordered was great. My girlfriend tried the special dinner, and she also found it fantastic. The waiter was real nice and helpful having us to choose what we can order.
Fantastic overall experience, great service and outstanding meal.
Tagliatelle was great.
Drago Centro never disappoints. Fresh, innovative and delicious food with service to match.
A special offered was linguini with truffles...Wonderful
Dining room ambience was nice, but we were definitely not impressed by the service nor the food. The 3 pasta dishes we ordered were quite average but the bistecca, halibut and chicken entrees were good. Overall, we felt the meal was a bit pricey for the food the restaurant served.
The team is always very attentive. The octopus appetizer and venison main course I have had several times in the last few weeks when in LA on business.
Great food and environment
Great service with complimentary pershuto and dessert
Very good food and super service
Dinner here before the Music Center is delicious but pricey. Seafood is the best quality but the cioppiono was short of the most important ingredient. A bit disappointing this time.
Very loud for a business meal
Great service, quality food.
We had one issue with the restaurant on this visit. My husband opted for the halibut on the menu rather than the branzino because the halibut was shown to be served with "jumbo asparagus". What he received was pieces of quite small asparagus. He mentioned this to our server, who very nicely attempted to rectify the situation by bringing him a plate with additional pieces of quite small asparagus. The food was excellent, but we do take issue with the menu stating side dishes that were not served.
Amazing dinner. Traditional Italian with a twist. The service was outstanding!
Fabulous food, lovely presentation, decent price considering the beauty and the perfection. We started with beet salad and the soup special: carrot-ginger poured steaming over onion crisps. The branzino was served with the tail, in the tail, appeared untouched but the bones had been expertly removed and the filet was delicious moist and light. She had the ciocolatto, a blend of chocolate mousses atop a streusel crust. My cheesecake was pretty in a pink raspberry glaze, creamy and fine. The wine list is extensive and selective: one can pay $80-2600 a bottle. I had the quartino of the Primitivo and it was enough for one. Altogether it was an excellent meal. The reason I did not give 5 stars are that the main waiter was inattentive and that the atmosphere was a bit stale. Would I go again? Absolutely. The food was superb.
Always good food and fresh ingredients. Good service and solid wine list. A true staple of DTLA.
Some of the best pasta I have ever had.
We always enjoy Drago Centro when dining DTLA.
Lots of noise coming from kitchen and bar detracted from experience
Great ambiance, mediocre food. The truffle chicken was extremely dry.
Everything was great. We asked them to turn down the loud music and they did, to almost inaudible which was great so we could talk.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. Server was quite busy with various tables throughout our time there but he always managed to check in with us. Food for the most part was amazing, just a little off on one of the desserts to me. Server Colin gave us good suggestions for wine with our meal. Surprisingly with an order of tea, you get a small cup with no pot for more and no refills.
This is a large upscale restaurant in Downtown LA. We were visiting LA with a tour group and decided to dine at Drago Centro on a "free night" based on other reviews. They employ a large staff and service is formal and attentive. This is not your cozy neighborhood hangout - closer to Downton Abbey! The bread, served with a high quality olive oil, was fresh and crusty. The food is excellent. It is prepared perfectly and the chef achieves flavor without using too much salt. The dishes are beautifully presented. We enjoyed their beet salad, salmon with peas and farro, Caramelle pasta and an amazing Chocolato dessert.
Great service. Excellent food
Food was great. Service was non existent. Waiter came and went. Ordered dessert and an after dinner drink. Dessert came. Never saw our after dinner drink or our waiter. His colleague finally presented the check. Very disappointing night at a restaurant I frequent for business lunches on a frequent basis.
I was so excited to try this place so we made a reservation for four. Ambience and overall the restaurant looked and smelled great. Our server was awful, unattentive, and rude. Runners & bussers were great. Will not be returning.
The food was amazing. The best part, however, was your sommelier. He was incredibly knowledgeable
and recommended the finest wines for each dish and was very pleasant. He definitely added to an outstanding dining experience.
The cioppino was just tomato sauce and meager fish
Pasta was bland and cold. We eat at Drago often and have really enjoyed it. This was probably a bad night
The server was not friendly and overall very condescending. The food was good and the ambiance was nice but the waiter ruined the experience
I have always thought that Drago Centro was an under appreciated gem in downtown. The room is stunning. The service, from the greeting at the door, service through the meal, and a warm goodbye is sincere and polished. I hosted a small retirement dinner for my associates. It could not have been more enjoyable or effortless. I brought wines which were expertly decanted and presented. The server was proficient in reviewing the specials, any allergies or dietary restrictions and in giving us the space to enjoy the moment and make our selections after enjoyably settling into the evening. The food really is superb. There was not a nibble left on any plate through the evening. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Sublime.
Every dish is well-executed and the pastas, in particular, are among the best in the city.
The food was superb. We had appetizers/salad and entrees. All of the dishes were delicious. Venison is not a usual menu item but Drago cooks it perfectly.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Had a great time here.
