Draft Ratings and Reviews
Been here a few times - great food as always and a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean. Garrett, our waiter, was efficient, kind & extremely helpful. Burgers & salads were OUR choice of lunch items, along with "draft" beers. Love this place - we have always had great luck here!!!
we were not able to see the bay, which is the big draw here, but the industrial big open bar with huge TVs and fun lighting, comfortable little tables, made it a great place to get a delicious hamburger. The menu seemed like it had a good variety for light suppers and bigger entrees.
Delicious array of beer. A good value
Had a wonderful lunch with out of town friends who wanted a beach/ocean view. It was a weekday, so parking and availability was easier than I would expect for a weekend. Good selection of craft beers, and tasty food. I had the pistachio crusted salmon sandwich and found it very tasty. The aioli added a nice zing and provided a nice counter to the fries. Would definitely go again.
I took my mom there for her birthday. It was a beautiful day. Our server was awesome. She was friendly and checked on us periodically to make sure everything was okay. I had the smoked chicken salad which was delicious, my mom had the braised short ribs and pasta, she loved it. we also ordered the churro bites, nice way to end the meal. I will definitely be back, next, I'll want to sit outside and people watch...GREAT PLACE!! :)
I have dined here many times, both with and without my young children. The food is always delicious; fancy bar food and some inventive appetizers. The beer list is extensive, the wine list is decent, and the cocktails are tasty. The service is never very good; it's always polite, but never seems to be attentive enough. Maybe they are understaffed when it comes to servers or the servers don't have enough experience. The food and view are awesome enough to make up for the slightly lacking attention of the servers.
This was my second visit. First time was for lunch which was great. I think the food on the lunch menu was superior to the brunch offerings on my second visit. Was with a large group and no one was bowled over by their order. The build your own mimosa was great though, and reasonable priced. Servers were kind and attentive but dropped off a bit once it got busier. I really like the atmosphere/aesthetic and the beachfront view is unbeatable. Next time will just order off the lunch menu or dinner menu.
The food was absolutely fabulous....the pork tacos on the small plate menu are to die for! The music was a bit loud; turning it down a notch would make this restaurant "Outstanding" on my overall rating. Big inside; large bar area; pool tables and a full size movie screen on one wall. Looks like there is going to be a rooftop area once the weather permits - would love to return to experience that. Right on the beach so the views are wonderful. Don't miss out on this one - will definitely return!
All was great until dinner came. Burger was so salty I couldnt eat it. Server asked if I wanted something else but it was much too late for that, I ate too many fries instead. She acknowledged thenfood is super salty bc the chef is a chain smoker... Great. I literally took 3 bites and couldnt stomach it, it was horrible. I didn't want more food at that point, she should have taken it off the check. Pretty upset about that.
This is the place to get right into the Mission Beach vibe with a little up scale thrown in. Even thought you can come in from the beach (covered) of course, you will feel right at home. My last visit was a special occasion and the service, food & and watching the sunset with a glass of wine was the perfect night.
One step above fast food. I expected a restaurant with service but instead was met with a loud crowded warehouse where you have to stand in line (separate ones) for your food and beverage and then fight for a table. The food was okay but the experience not so much.
We have been here about 4 times. I decided to have my son's 27th birthday gathering with some of his friends. We had a patio table very nice. Had a reserved table which was very nice. Sunset was beautiful! But here it comes! Had HORRIBLE service outside. We were forgotten many times. Glasses empty for long periods of time. I went to manager to ask what the problem was, which didn't even help. Seems to me you need some undercover work to be done!
First the good: Nachos were great. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 1.
Kids menu is WAYYY over priced. $8 for 2 chicken strips and some fries? my older kid would have needed at least 2 of those. And you really want my to spend $8 for you 2 year old?
The service was also terrible. We have 2 different waitresses, neither that we saw very much. I had to flag her down once my beer was empty to get another one. BUT,,, here is the real problem: from when my wife asked for the check, it took use 25 mins to leave the restaurant. Unacceptable. It took her 10 mins to come back, and another 15 to run the card.
Don't expect us back anytime soon. I had high hopes because this space has been empty for year. Should have waited longer.
Food - pretty good
Service - our server was very friendly
View - can't beat it!
The draft was good - mostly for the view, and the food is a notch above what they provide at the wave house next door. $24 for a bottle of champagne for mimosas was a little extravagant for the ambience I think...but I'll be back! I'm excited to watch football on the big screens.
Then over I'll experience was great. I was a little disappointed in their brunch menu and the selection that they had. There was not a lot to choose from. They didn't have classic breakfast meal such as Belgium waffles, eggs Benedict, Ect. Made it a little hard to figure out what to eat, but I got the French toast BLT and is absolutely amazing!
We decided to try Draft because it was on the Boardwalk at Mission Beach and were very pleased with the service, food and beer selection. It is a great place to stop in the evening for a beer and watch the sunset on the Pacific Ocean. Will definitely do this again.
First time there. We love the look of it. Amazing view of the ocean, and sunset. A bit loud for our taste, but still able to have a conversation. Fun for the younger crowd. The chairs are very hard. The food was very good and came in a timely manner. The waiters were very friendly. Great beer selection.
5 time here and love it! Food has always been good except for the fried green beans tonight. They don't have any flavor, very disappointed . I am a local and when friends or family come visit we always take them to Draft. I was not to happy with the service this time, but everyone has a bad day.
The food was very good, much better than I expected for a tourist location. The beer variety and quality, excellent. The service was good, very friendly and the order came out in just the right amount of time. The noise level is a little loud for us, makes it difficult to talk, but it does give an excitment and happening atmosphere…maybe just a couple of decibels less?? We were there as the sun went down over the ocean, beautiful view! We will go back.
