At just under 2000 sq ft with 18 foot ceilings and an abundance of natural lighting from six oversized windows, dp is a room that demands attention. Our dining room offers a mix of table & banquette seating in a decidedly more casual atmosphere than Yono’s.

It features a 25 foot custom mahogany and granite bar stocked with a full array of spirits, cordials, and of course myriad wines by the glass. We pride our beverage program on fresh, seasonally inspired cocktails, & by the glass wine program, ever-changing, that rivals any in the region. Guests are also invited to peruse the 1,000 selection Wine Spectator “Best of Award of Excellence” winning Yono’s wine list.

After seeing ‘vegetarian-friendly’ listed for this restaurant I booked a reservation. They had one vegetarian main dish and had no option of tofu for the protein to add. Otherwise, ambiance and meat dishes looked good, but wasnt a great option for this vegetarian.

Our server was terrific! But we waited for over and hour for even our appetizers! Usually okay chat etc but we had tix for a 7 pm show (our reservations were for 530 pm) Food was hit or miss. Some of us had terrific meals like the crispy fried chicken and the braised ribs. Others had dishes with chicken that was too dry. Not enough salt.

Excellent experience. My guest and I love the food, the service was great, menu and drink selection excellent. Candle light up beat vibe! Only slight, making it an A not an A plus, how close seats/tables were to other people. But wow, really great place. My first experience eating out in Albany. I'd recommend it 10 out of 10 times.

We had an amazing time celebrating Valentine’s Day at DP’s. Josh was an amazing and attentive server. We ordered two appetizers and each had an entrée. Everything was amazing! Get the mussels! You won’t regret it.

I highly recommend dp to anyone who is looking for excellent food, service and atmosphere. The food is always flavorful and fresh, often with an interesting twist. In addition, the service and attention to client needs is outstanding. I had a very last minute request on a busy Saturday night and the owner (Donna) immediately returned my call and made it happen !

DP Brassiere is a solid dining spot, offering a myriad of items from small plates and cheeses to well-portioned entrees. Every dish is uniquely plated with thoughtful accompaniments. The desserts are fantastic - always an array of modern classics presented with attention to flavor and detail. The service is always upscale, professional and on point w/ knowledgeable staff and barkeeps. If you are in Albany, DP and it’s adjacent restaurant Yono’s are a must !

Alice was the best! It was our first time, the food was amazing, got the Pasta Rayleigh, the Steak Frites, Dumplings, and 4 by 4 Onion Soup. My wine was delicious and my girlfriend got the signature cocktail. Loved it and would love to come again.

As always, we had a wonderful time at dp An American Brasserie last night. The food and service are top rate every time. We enjoyed our meals, our wine and even two fabulous desserts for a birthday dinner. We even ran into old friends and basked in the warmth of the best hospitality available in the Capital District. Negative: Seating was very close. Was at the corner 2 person booth and got really awkward when another couple sat next to us Positives: Amazing food and drinks! I could order everything on the menu. Great service, our waitress Morgan was super fun and helpful! We will be back!

There was a packed house there. Very very loud. I ordered the steak and frites, my steak came out Luke warm and rare, not medium rare as requested. My cheese plate was mediocre. Service was good especially considering how busy and understaffed it was, they can’t help that. For the price of the food I expected it to be much more high end than what it is.

Our dinner was very good. The squash, cheese, special salad was an outstanding starter. Due to large crowd for the symphony, the noise level was a bit high. Service was generally great—Morgan was terrific. We initially received the wrong dessert, but it was promptly corrected.
