On this, The restaurants original site, Doyles on the Beach opened Australia's first seafood restaurant in 1885. We have been family owned and operated for over 5 generations.

The restaurant internationally famous and a mecca for Sydneysiders and tourists alike, offering a stunning range of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Family Friendly, Great for date night!, indoor & outdoor dining located right next to the beach. We cater for families, business lunches, special events, weddings & special occasions. private rooms available.

Visit our newly opened open-air Garden Bar (open daily 11.30am - late) , try one of our refreshing cocktails, a draught beer or a glass of wine before dining in the restaurant or why not order from the garden bar menu. (reservations excepted for both the restaurant & garden bar)

    A lovely experience, upstairs window table with superb views of Watsons Bay with the elevation. Food ambiance service were terrific.

    Food was overcooked. Drinks very slow to arrive and when my wine finally arrived, it was the wrong colour. I sent the wine back as I'd finished my meal and it wasnt what I had orderd yet it still made it to the bill.

    We expected better service. It took 30min from sitting to get water for the table & to order drinks

    From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, looked after and made to feel comfortable. The menu was fabulous and extensive. Our party of 7 enjoyed platters, whole fish and tried the Doyle’s label wine. It was a fabulous lunch with old friends.

    Despite the fact that I still miss Doyle's old style seafood paella (yellow rice served separately with a pot of seafood), the seafood paella socarrat style tasted much better this time than the first time when it changed to socarrat style. However, this time it tastes nicer, somewhat in between the old and new. Also, it would be amazing if some other seafood could be added, such as fish, calamary, and blue swimmer, as they used to for the old-style seafood paella pot.

    Long time diners. Infrequent lately but this will change on the basis of our experience yesterday: service, food and ambience perfectly aligned and exceeded our expectations. Such a great time. The view was glorious. Thanks Elizabeth and the team.

    Had a weekend in Sydney after many years and wanted to return to Doyles at Watsons Bay. Cost us $50 in an Uber to get there and what a disappointment the food was, to say the least very disappointing. The 6 rock oysters were so small and the same price as we paid at the Bennelong Restaurant at the Opera house. I ordered deep fried camembert was not deep fried was heated under a grill and the toast was rock hard. We ordered Whiting and chips with salad x 2 , both were huge meals 8 pieces of fish each and huge plate of chips, the salad was just lettuce leaves. Back to the fish, was very rubbery like it had been frozen for 12 months and still expensive. The staff and service was great. Would never ever recommend anyone to go to this restaurant again, very disappointing

    We used to go all the time years ago but about 5 years ago we were quite disappointed. We decided to try them again and I was very impressed. Great service, great food! Definitely recommend Doyle’s and we will be back.

    Food was good, but waiter was slow, sat outside in the waterfront annex, views were good, but was crammed in !! Had the hot & cold seafood platter @$209, was good but expensive. Couldn’t believe the $25 surcharge on a Saturday of a long w’end !!
