Would not go back, poor service and poor food and drink selections.
Came in for brunch and to watch the Titans football game. Great time all around.
We loved it! The food, the service, the atmosphere, all of it was great. We will definitely be back to experience some of the other food options there. The rooftop bar area was awesome too.
Great cocktails. We were early so we didn’t eat a true dinner.
Food was just ok. If you go just order bar food do not try to go with anything like shrimp and grits. My daughter ordered these and did not like them. The burgers were solid and fries were great. I ordered a Manhattan and it came with simple syrup in it and it looked more like a bourbon and Sprite so I sent it back. The second try was spot on so I am not sure what happened on round 1 but clearly some training needed behind the bar. Overall, I liked the ambiance but the restaurant was slow and Broadway was booming so maybe that should have been a warning sign. Server gave us the bill without being asked so I guess he knew we were not real happy. Overall, good spot if you want somewhere quiet to take a break from the madness of Broadway but stick to beers and burgers.
We had a great time! Food was delicious and atmosphere was great.
This is our second visit to The Ribbon Room at Downtown Sporting Club. We love this little hidden restaurant on the ground floor of DSC. Our server was Nicole and she was amazing! My daughter has
many food allergies and she was great to check and make sure no trigger allergens would be in her meal. She was super friendly and very professional!
We also had the MOD, Kelly, check on us and how our meal and service was. She was also very friendly great to talk to. The food is really good to excellent. The pork chop is one of the best we have ever had, the filet and salmon was also delicious, as well as the cocktails. The only negative comment is that the accompaniment the amazing salmon was served atop, the cauliflower was almost cold. Definitely Recommend!
Not the atmoshpehre or level of service I was lead to believe at the Ribbon Room. Overall place is fine for axe throwing and sports bar-esque. Very loud- could not have a discussion at my booth. food was good, but expected something more.
I normally don’t write reviews but this was a bad experience, the food was subpar. The Rueben tasted like store brand pressed meat friend had the double burger and it had zero flavor. The Ribbon room back room was extremely loud with a band playing in the front room. Could not talk.
One plus was the waiting staff they were excellent too bad they work where the food is bland.
It was very good. The drink prices were a bit outlandish and my margarita was mainly tequila (wouldn’t normally complain butttt a bit more flavor besides straight tequila would’ve been nice)
Stopped in for Breakfast before heading back home. Amazing breakfast with unique, fresh and tasty options. When you would rather have something fresh versus traditional southern flair, this is the place to go! And save room for some doughnut holes! They come out piping hot and delicious! Our server, John, was so attentive and made our experience so relaxing.
Super cute venue, and excellent service. Food was fine. Solid wine list. Great round booths - so if dining with a crew of 4-6 - it’s a stellar seating option.
This was our first visit to Downtown Sporting Club. I took my son there for lunch before I took him to the airport to go back to college . Our waitress and the manager made us feel so special. They gave us a surprise mother and son sun-dae. So very sweet. Great service great food really good vibe . We will be back for sure .
Not too crowded
Our server, Harrison, was excellent, as well as our food & drinks! We dined in the Ribbon Room, and had a great experience. Thank you!
Did not know if ax throwing would fun BUT we had a ball. We had super coach (Nathan) and were pleased that a bunch of novices could succeed and have fun. We decided to stay and eat dinner too. REALLY good food. Loved the cauliflower appetizer. Would definitely return.
Very nice place and the customer service was fantastic!
The service and drinks were great, but the food was mediocre. The horseradish tots were just regular tater tots with a horseradish sauce, which was not spicy at all. I ordered the turkey club, and my husband got a burger. We both ordered side salads, which was a bowl of arugula with a very watery blue cheese dressing that had no flavor. There were no cucumbers, tomatoes, or any other veggies on the salad - just greenery. My turkey club was nothing to write home about, and my husband said his burger was just ok. Overall, the food was nothing spectacular. Honestly for the price we expected more.
Such a great atmosphere! We had a date night and first had dinner at the Ribbon Room on the 1st floor. It was fabulous! We both had burgers/fries and it was fabulous! I also had the Lay Low cocktail and it was very yummy! We then ventured up to the 2nd floor for some axe-throwing and games and even spent time at the rooftop bar. It was a great night! Highly recommend!
Great and reasonably priced meal in the Ribbon Room. Wonderful variety of drinks. Helpful and pleasant staff. Axe throwing was the bomb!
First time here. Food/options and service were exceptional. Atmosphere was inviting and fun. The noise level was a bit more energetic than expected for Dinner at the Ribbon.
We celebrated my son's 18th Birthday here. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure an axe throwing lane, but it looked like a lot of fun and we will definitely go back and try it again. As soon as we were greeted, my son was wished a Happy Birthday. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The ground floor restaurant has a cool, retro, speak easy vibe with old sporting decor. Most of our dining choices were good-confide it higher end bar food. From tator tots, queso, sliders, burgers-it was all good. Our parties favorite was the mac and cheese. The second floor houses more casual game tables. Several were playing Sorry and Checkers. Lots of TV's. I think this will be a big hit during the football season. Axe throwing is on the second floor. What makes this place distinct is their third floor which houses 16 hotel rooms. We were not able to see the rooms, but from what I saw online they looked quite nice. The fourth floor has an area that can be rented out for private functions and a decent size rooftop bar, overlooking Broadway. All in all, I would go back again and we had an enjoyable evening.
Really enjoyed this spot- great food, really nice service. Highly recommend!
A very nice break from the live music and bar food conveniently located on Broadway. Everyone we spoke to was more than helpful and a pleasure to talk with. The patty melt was the best I've ever tasted and they put a new spin on the traditional shrimp and grits by bringing just a little heat to the dish.
Good but not great.
Food was mediocre but service and ambience were pretty good
Unique restaurant, love the vibe! Great escape in downtown. Burgers were good and REAL bartenders that don’t just make shots, they actually know how to make real drinks.
Tony was our server and from the moment we walked in to the moment we left he did an incredible job. He was so kind, attentive and was so professional!!!! My meal wasn’t my favorite but they replaced it quickly for something I enjoyed. We mentioned that we were out for our anniversary at the beginning of the night not thinking much of it, and they gave us a dessert and a hand written note. It really was above and beyond of any service I have EVER experienced at a restaurant. The managers were great. The staff was amazing. The vibe was so great it actually made it feel like you weren’t even on Broadway (praise the Lord)
Impeccable and fresh food....you look at the place and think, "looks sort of sketchy," but it is anything but! I had the cold fried chicken twice..spiced perfectly..sides of a unique salad of grape heirloom tomatoes, onions and cheese is the perfect summer splash! The desserts are made in house. I've had the cheesecake twice--one of the best I have had from Paris to Asia to South Africa! Wife had the chocolate cake--said it is the best she has ever had--quite a compliment from the queen of desserts--it is dense but moist and very rich...homemade creme fresh on the side. We will drive the 40 miles to downtown Nashville just for this place. Our server(the same both time) was the nicest young man who was truly service-oriented...added to the great experience. We'll be back all the time! Don't miss this place!
We are from Nashville and wanted to check out a new place. We really enjoyed our dinner at The Ribbon Room! Tucked in the ground floor under the Downtown Sporting Club we had a great dinner and delicious cocktails. Great variety of food, the fried cauliflower app was spectacular ! ( even for those not fans of the veggie!) Pork chop and chicken were great as well. The service was Amazing! Jon was our server and I we could not ask for better, anywhere! Will definitely be back- kinda hope this place stays a secret, lol!
Great time and food was outstanding. Service was also very good. Bacon wrapped dates were awsome. The four of us each had a different dish and all were great, could not go to rooftop as there was a private party there. Will be back to see all. Thanks, Capt Don
Fast, quick, friendly service and oh so tasty food.
The pork chop was amazing and cheesecake tasty. Our server was really friendly and helpful, wine list bit limited but ok. Great bar.
Server was great. Food was quite good. Wasn’t busy when we went so was quiet but I’d imagine it’s pretty loud when busy. Had fun playing the yard games. Just wish the Rec room had been open earlier today!
The food looked ok but someone forgot to add the flavor. The scampy caused indigestion and other pasta was so bland I had to pour a ton of salt on it and asked for cheese. This place looks like a hostel when you arrive and does not merit another visit.
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! What a great new place on Broadway in Nashville to eat. Usually when going to a new restaurant that has only been open about a month, you expect some issues... THIS IS NOT THE CASE!! From the time that we got there until the time we left, it was a great dining experience. Our waiter Jimmy was fabulous!! He was knowledgeable about not only the restaurant but also the history of the building and the new concept. This is not your typical Nashville downtown bar/restaurant. It is so much better and is there for the locals and not just appealing to the tourists. Being there for CMA fest we look for places that are not just overrun with crowds where you feel rushed to get up from your table or have people "lurking" to get your table. Also being a party of 6 sometimes is an issue but that was not the case here. We did an appetizer and dessert meal and ordered every appetizer on the menu and shared them. Some of the best dry rub wings I have ever eaten. The crab dip was delicious and made in the kitchen, the bacon wrapped dates were fought over at our table because they were so good. Dessert is done old school in that they bring the cart to the table so you can actually see the desserts and our waiter Jimmy cut and served the desserts table side. What a wonderful throwback to another period in time. Chocolate cake with chocolate mouse with a chocolate ganache and homemade whipped cream was moist, a hummingbird cake that was one of the best I've had, cheesecake with a blueberry sauce and my husband does not like cheesecake and ate more than half of it himself. It did not taste like your normal cheesecake... so creamy and delicious. And the final dessert was an ice cream sundae from the old fashioned ice cream shoppes...creamy scoops of different ice cream, different sauces and all topped with the homemade whipped cream. We can't wait to come back and try some of the entrees.
We happened to stumble upon the Ribbon Room during CMA Fest. I checked online and they had availability and good reviews so we decided to give it a try. We will definitely be back!!! Our server, Skylar, was awesome and gave use honest answers when we asked about food and drink suggestions, and never tried to “upsell” us on anything. The portions were perfect and delicious! I had the Paradise Cafe Burger with bacon and it was spot on! The flavor was great and it was cooked to perfection! My husband had the chicken sandwich and our friend had the tenders! She raved about how juicy they were with just a hint of Nashville heat. Because it is part of the Downtown Sporting Club, you don’t realize there is a nice restaurant tucked in the back of the first floor which I found very nice! With CMA Fest and all the people bar hopping and stuff, sometimes it’s hard to have quite meal where you can chat so this was a pleasant change. I can not wait to return and try many other items on the menu. A great little “hidden gem”!! Try it...you will not be disappointed
Just needed a place to grab food and was very surprised! We would definitely go back. Fun place, nice staff and good food!
The food was very good and the ambiance makes you feel comfortable. I will definitely come back again.
Good for a quick bite to eat. The food was nothing spectacular. Would stay away from the deviled eggs. Wait staff very friendly and helpful.
The service was cold and sterile, didn’t really care about our experience. The food was mediocre at best and the lighting was dark I couldn’t read the menu and we were yawning.
Really can’t recommend this place not will I return.
