The staff set a nice table for ten in the back which felt nicely private. Service and food was excellent as were the cocktails. Our server, Deniz, did an outstanding job and should be commended!

The service was prompt and the server checked in consistently while still providing us with a sense of privacy. We were given enough time to enjoy ourselves and did not feel rushed. The food was scrumptious, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing — just what we wanted.

We had the loveliest time at Dovetail. I let them know it was my friend’s birthday, and they wrote her a beautiful personalized note and brought her a slice of delicious chocolate cake with a candle and sang happy birthday. She was over the moon, and we were blown away by our server, William, and the rest of the Dovetail team. We also got oysters, a filet, mashed potatoes, fresh baked bread, and the brussel sprouts. Everything was incredible, and we cannot recommend it enough. Thank you for creating such a special evening, Dovetail!

Absolutely Amazing dining experience. Our server William was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He even surprised my wife and I with dessert and champagne for our two day wedding anniversary. 10/10 can’t recommend enough!

Had a nice relaxing family brunch today- the patio area is lovely, the servers were friendly and professional and the food was good. The only slightly off dish for us was the avocado toast- the “toast” was a croissant which we thought was a bit of a strange decision since it doesn’t have the texture one usually seeks in a toast. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles and the mango panacotta. Value: the price for some dishes was a bit more than expected ($42) for a lobster omelette, but most dishes were in line with other DC restaurants. Appreciated that the server told us that an 18% service charge was already included in the bill. We will definitely come back to try the dinner menu and another brunch.

Burger was dry, chicken sandwich was flavorless. The Cornish hen dish was also devoid of flavor.
