Our waiter Eddie was so nice and he made our first time experience enjoyable.
Steak was slightly over cooked and expected a little more sauce but overall delicious anyway.
Ribeyes were terrible especially for the price. It’s an upscale restaurant according to the menu but people are in spandex and gym shorts. Server was so sweet but definitely not used to serving at an upscale restaurant.
Food was mediocre not worth to eat there. Drinks were good
Won't be returning!
Everything was excellent, from our server Eddie to our drinks. Very good food, and atmosphere........
The mango topping on the salmon was missing; the server went to whip up a avocado chutney because they apparently was no mango, the salmon was also warm The shrimp was missing from the ravioli; they ran to the kitchen and warmed shrimp in vodka sauce.
First time there and I will Definitely return. Food was on point and drink was amazing.
Interesting concept. Limited menu. Limited parking. Savannah was a great server.
Steak was tough lobster stuffing very dry . Wife's meal was not up to expatiations
After seeing the website I was so excited to try a new place! We did go on a Monday and at 530pm we were the only guests in the restaurant until 630pm. We asked the server, Anderson, for specials and he responded they didn't have any. When I went to the Open table website, I saw that Monday and Tuesday have a 4-course meal with the wine that looks right up our alley. Wish we would have known.
Andersen was very accommodating but unfortunately, 2 out of the 4 steaks ordered were overcooked. He did try and make things right in all fairness, but the guys didn't want to wait for new steaks. He did bring out a dessert to share which was nice.
I may come back and try Tapas and oysters but won't be rushing back to the dining room to spend $350 for 4 people and overcooked steaks.
Went for the brunch. Food was delicious and our waiter Anderson was great and very friendly. We will be back again soon.
Amazing experience all around! The atmosphere, food and service from Tiana was amazing! We will absolutely be back!
Bad dining experience alert!
Don’t do it, like ever.
Made reservations for 7pm, no one came to our table for 20 minutes until I went to the hostess.
Then we placed an order for appetizer and dinner at 7:20. Calamari was terrible, like clam strip crumbs. They offered our first round of drinks at no charge. By 9pm still no dinner. We asked for our check and were told a manager would come see us. They never did. Entrees were brought out at 9:10 as we were waiting for the bill. We declined it, completely frustrated. We did give our server a very generous tip because it was clearly not his fault.
He put our food in to go containers at “no charge” LOL no kidding. My husband didn’t want to take it but I was starving so I did. Only to get home to see my petite sirloin (more like microscopic!) and Bertolli quality gnocchi.

Happy Father’s Day dinner to my husband 🙄👎🏼
Our dinner was extremely over priced particularly when the food wasn't even that good.
I got the grilled salmon which had absolutely no flavor (not even salt or pepper). My husband got surf and turf which came with no sides and also had no flavor what so ever. We had the spicy pineapple shrimp which was OK but canned pineapple was used. Very unimpressive for the price. We will not go back nor would we recommend it to anyone. Our waitress was OK, she was nice, but had no idea what the surf and turf was even though she supposedly started working there since the opening. And the food service was extremely slow, took over an hour to get our meals... And my husband's glass of wine was $30??!! I can buy a bottle at the liquor store for $48.... I was very sad this was the experience we had, I had taken my husband here for his 50th birthday. I also told thee restaurant it was my husbands birthday and they also made no attempt to get him a dessert or anything even though I spent over $300 on the meal for just the two of us!! I don't think they will be in business much longer unless they make some serious improvements.
Tried this place first time, service was good however portions were on the smaller side, food was very good despite the portions. I definitely will definitely try them again and see how the next meals size up.
I was there for Sunday brunch.
My third time enjoying brunch at Towne House and I always enjoy the same experience.
The wait staff are friendly and accomodating, and the food is always wonderful.
But everytime I walk in the host staff stare at me and my guests in abject confusion.
No greeting. No welcome . Just staring.
Like they have no idea why I’m there.
Guys, you work at a restaurant. Why do you think we are here??
Say hello and ask what I need maybe?
Service was great and attentive. Appetizers are for the table. Food was good, if a bit pricey for what you get
Great food and ambiance. Always a great time. Great for a date or girls dinner or just because.
Took 14 minutes for our server to arrive to our table which was weird considering there were only 3 other couples in the whole dining room. Drinks were done well and appetizer was fine but main course was tough. Steak gnocchi was very oily and the Queijo steak was tough and overcooked while the vegetables and mashed potatoes on the same plate were cold. Also did not have any desserts available. From the outside Townhouse looks great but I don't think I will be giving it another try for the price.
Was very pleasantly surprised and would definitely go back. Food was great as was service. It was a Sunday evening and there was only one other couple finishing up so it was like we had the entire place.
Food was excellent
Drinks were outstanding...food was perfect....place was nice fir an late afternoon dinner...I can’t wait to go back when it’s dark 😉
Thank you for your review! Hope to see you soon.
Great atmosphere, service and food to much. High end without being pretentious
We appreciate your review Steve. See you soon!
They sat us in the employee break room away from the restaurant on Mother’s Day!
Highly upset with the experience!
Not even a flower or centerpiece on the table like the rest of the restaurant. Spoke to the manager and said it was a function room. I have never in my life seen a function room like this, it was definitely not a function room to my standards.
It was not pleasant at all. Won’t be back!
We appreciate your review. We had an extremely busy Mother's Day weekend. We sat your large party in our function room which we've held multiple events in. We strive to provide high quality experiences to all of our customers. We apologize we weren't able to meet your expectations.
Food was terrible, they literally were taking groceries from stop and shop into the kitchen and the service was worse than the food. Some herbs and spices would do great added to their food, maybe then it'd be edible. Their chef also needs to learn how to cook a steak. Overall -1 star! The patio was nice, table was shakey and uneven, but the patio was nice, the server let us sit down without silverware, then we had to wait 10 minutes just to get silverware, they didn't bring us any condiments either for our food even the basics that were listed as "included with our meals" on their menu. Terrible place to eat. Go to Capital Grille if you're willing to pay the prices that this place charges.
We appreciate your review and will take your notes into consideration. We strive to provide high quality service & products. We are sorry you didn't have a great experience.
The staff was great. They were very nice to our kids. The food was delicious. And the Portuguese wines were wonderful.
Everything about this place was amazing!
We appreciate your patronage!
My husband and I had the Passion Fruit Cod which is amazing. I have special dietary conditions and can only eat small amounts of food so I was able to order just the fish and no sides and only pay a pro-rated charge for the protein. This was such a help for me. Our server was great
Made reservation for 7pm. Walked in was greeted & seated. 15 min went by and nobody came to table. A bus boy dropped off a carafe of water & basket of bread at the 18 minute mark & said a waiter would be over.. another 10 min went by and still nobody came. There were 6 tables of people seated and all had food or drinks. At 7:30 we got up and left. Will not go back. Very poor service.
Phenomenal, EDDY our waiter was the best we've had.
Way over priced, lack of service & mediocre food.. I should of known by the wine glasses that this was a sub par “steak house” cute atmosphere, great music but our server seemed to judge us at first as he walked by us multiple times before even introducing himself.. he seemed more interested in catering to older white couples, also told us they were “out of bread” & it would be some time before he could get us any... mind you within 60 seconds of him saying that two other tables seated after us were served bread.. we asked a bus boy and he brought out the ‘stop&shop’ bread basket..I ordered lobster ravioli which was OK but the serving was literally 6 raviolis with 3 shrimp thrown on the plate.. wasn’t bad but tasted like canned food.. and such a small serving compared to my friends salmon plate which was HUGE..the drinks.. well we ordered espresso martinis which were horribly made.. see pictures below.. honestly I wish we went to the tapa spot next door.
We thank you for your review. We do apologize you didn't have a great experience which is what we strive for! Hope you give us another chance.
Food was incredible loved the ambiance n decor staff was extremely great.. def going back!!
Great ambience. Service was okay. Food was disappointing.
My wife had the pork and little necks the sauce was watery with little flavor. I had the nocci with filet. Half the nocci were raw and not cooked and the filet was overdone. The atmosphere was nice and clean. The waiter was ok. Overall a little disappointed with the experience but I’d give it another try.
The atmosphere was good as was the service. I had high expectations knowing someone who has been a few times. I ordered the Portuguese steak which was overcooked, the egg was overcooked and typically it comes with a pepper not a couple of pepper slices. The portion was also very small, I've lived in the fall river area for many many years and Douro can not compete with every other Portuguese steak I've had.
I understand that mistakes can be made and I'm a reasonable person but we ordered three steaks and all three were overcooked and small.
I am not one to complain about restaurants and can easily find something that is decent anywhere. However, this was the absolute worst food I have gotten at a restaurant. For such luxe looks and good ambiance the food was beyond terrible. Nothing had flavor, not even salt or pepper. I ordered the chicken moçambique and had one bite and was finished with the dry chicken with one table spoon of watered down moçambique sauce that had absolutely no flavor. I will never be returning and can’t even believe I spent much on such horrendous food, as did my friends who said their vegetables were gross and flavorless just tasting of water and not even a hint of the vegetable.
My date and I absolutely loved the experience. The ambience of the entire Steakhouse is just unrivaled, and the staff really made us feel welcomed and loved. I would most certainly recommend Douro Steakhouse to more than just a friend, but my family as well!
It was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back. The wait staff was so accommodating, the food was delicious and it was absolutely a great experience. I would highly recommend coming here.
The food ordered was of poor quality
Sirloin steak was the thinnest piece of meat I have ever seen
It was over cooked
The gnocchi and petit tenderloin was awful- over cooked and had to be less than an ounce
WILL NEVER RETURN
