   Barbie is an outstanding wait person. We have had the pleasure of having her serve us both times we have visited. She is knowledgeable and articulate and gave us such good advice on what to order. The food was perfect. And of course so was the service. Thank you, Barbie! 🙂

   We went to DLB at suggestions of friends and LOVED it! We even went back two nights later. This is our new fav place to dine. Great patio and views of the water. Service is wonderful and the food fabulous.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant! This review would have been 5 stars on all categories if we had been lucky enough to have been seated on the patio or front room dining area where the view is everything! Our server, Erin, was excellent! The food outstanding! Do yourself a favor a make sure you visit this summer!

    We've eaten here many times before and always had an enjoyable experience whether it be coming over new years or just a summer day.. But in the last couple of visits- today, in particular, the quality of everything has sadly declined. It took us 30 minutes to get a drink (just a soda) and 25 minutes for even water. We understand it’s the start of the season and mean no harsh words- rarely a group that sends orders back let alone drinks but everything was subpar. I will say the girl that assisted in bussing the tables around us was phenomenal and helped our table get water, silverware, and condiments.

    We have eaten there multiple times so are able to compare what we experienced last night to other visits. It took 30 minutes for our waitress to come to the table for drink orders. Another 20 minutes to receive our drink orders without any expression of sorry it has taken so long. After we ordered it was 25 minutes before we were served. Two of the five entrees were cold so they were sent back. They were compensated with a complimentary dessert. Other patrons seated after us came and went before we received our entree. We are hopeful this was a new waitress that will improve as the season progresses.

    We live on Douglas Lake and often take guests to the DLB. The food and service never disappoint. I highly recommend DLB. And suggest making reservations several days in advance during the summer. It gets quite busy.

    Back for the season and there is no better place then Douglas Lake Bar & Steakhouse to dine. Service is the best and thank you Tammy your a 10++. Enjoy steaks or fish always tender and fresh. Excellent choice all summer.

    Tammy was our server and she was great...orders were correct, served in a timely manner. She kept us informed if there was a delay. Morel appetizer was delicious! Our entrees included the pork chop, walleye, salmon and bistro steak...all were excellent! Always a consistent restaurant for both service and food.

    I requested rib eye Med rare, it was medium, sent it back, waitress was awesome, so was the chef. Quality of the meat has gone down. It was good, didn’t exceed my expectations as DLB usually does.

    The DLB is our favorite restaurant near the tip of the mitt. The food and drinks are outstanding! The cooks and wait staff are skilled professionals. A great experience all the way around. Well worth finding it and getting there! Just don't tell your friends about it. Keep it a secrete!

    We went for Mothers Day yesterday and the best steak I have ever had was the Bistro.. my husband had the 1/2 slab of ribs and raves about them.. the service was great and the food amazing.. we will be definitely be back.

    Douglas Lake Steakhouse NEVER disappoints. Probably in the top 10 best managed restaurants in the state. Excellent food, top notch service , and nice lakefront , non snooty up north vibe. If you want a really nice out , without disappointments , DLB is definitely the place to go. Use the Open Table app for reservations, it works pretty flawlessly too.

    There was a special menu for New Year's Eve that contained five courses. The choices were phenomenal and hard to decide because everything was amazing and the portions for quite generous. I waitress Sarah was attentive and personable. DLB is a place we go to year-round and we always walk away happy and satisfied. They out did themselves this New Year's Eve.

    We celebrated NYE at DLB for the second time and it did not disappoint! From the friendly and efficient service to the great options on the 5-course meal menu, it was perfect! We have been eating here for decades and have never been disappointed with the wine list, atmosphere, food and service. Love that we can now make reservations on Open Table!
