Doughbird - Pizza & Rotisserie
The service and food were excellent. Will be back for sure
Recommended by my Sister, my friend enjoyed a delicious meal and a hearty catch up. Great staff and kitchen.
We came in on Saturday just after the rain stopped so the restaurant wasn't very busy. The nice and bright interior was welcoming and the awesome smell of pizza was so inviting. We got greeted and seated immediately by a smiling hostess. The chicken bbq appetizers were good and the garden chop salad was fresh. Our party ordered oven-roasted ribeye, prime rib, margherita pizza and Thai chicken curry. Except for the dry and overcooked chicken curry, other entrees were hot and tasty. There weren't many helps around so service was a bit lacking. In all, we had a good experience at Doughbird.
Fantastic meal. Service was top notch and you can tell they care about your experience. Great choice!
This is my second visit to Doughbird. The food remains excellent, and service is professional. Our waitress, Beth, was fun and interactive.
The food, service and atmosphere are always top-notch!
Initial greeting and seating was very awkward by the hostess, once seated everything was fine from that point on. Greeters and hosts need more training
Otherwise a well run restaurant.
The food was oustanding -- my wife did restaurant week, wile I just ordered off the regular menu. The drinks are fantastic (the gin and tonic with mint is off the chart). The hummus appetizer is incredible, especially with the pillow of fresh baked bread to dip. The salmon was perfect. But most of all, the service was incredible (6 stars out of 5) -- a special mention to our waiter Hunter who was amazingly attentive and personable. But kudos to the entire staff -- the service was a team effort, and was an A+++.
This place is always awesome.
Visited for Restaurant week. The choices were varied and with three diners we chose several options. All good.
Restaurant week / birthday dinner for daughter. Really enjoyed the hummus, guacamole, salmon, and pizza. Service was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere was nice but casual.
We have been to Doughbird a few times and always enjoyed their pizza! This time we also tried the rotisserie chicken which was very juicy and tasty and had pizza again. The bbq chicken pizza was amazing!
Great experience, friendly staff
This place is perfect every time I go. Great service from Brittany and Clifford as well as Hunter and the managers every time we go.
This is my first restaurant review I've ever given. I felt obligated due to the quality of the experience here every time.
The staff had our table ready even though I was 10 minutes late. They were attentive to us during our time there and the food was top notch!
This was our second visit and was even better than the first. Chicken was enjoyed by some and I had the cauliflower steak which was artfully and creatively prepared. Our server was attentive; the appetizers however arrived about 30 seconds before the main meal so would have preferred some space. Guacamole is just okay - big hunks of avocado with relatively little seasoning. Net, okay for our family gathering to celebrate our son's birthday. This was noted on the Open Table reservation; Dough Bird however made no mention of it.
We had reservations at 7:15. We waited 15 or 20 mins. To be shown to our table. But we did enjoy our meal. All was good!
Tried like heck to make the chicken pot roast. Not even close!
The dinner was all botched up. I made a reservation and it didn't even matter. Other people were receiving their meals as our table was still waiting for our meal. The meal did not arrive as it was ordered. It took over an hour to receive the meal. Nobody checked on empty drink glasses for 25 minutes. Dinner salad's did not arrive for 30 minutes. The server left a dirty glass from another table on our table. The dinner was a disaster and it is not worth the drive. It is a good think I did not have a movie or function to attend after dinner because I would have missed the event after all the time I spent waiting for this dinner to be over.
My advice, there are other places in town that do a better job.
I arrive on time for my reservation at 6 but had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated the waitress took our order after that it took 45 minutes to get our food. The food was very good. I had the Aviator pizza and my girlfriend had the barbecue chicken pizza. Once we got our food we did not see the waitress again until the check. She never refilled our drinks. I would definitely go back for the pizza however I would not go back for the ambience or the service I received.
We started with the cheesy bread with travel oil, I had the barbecued chicken salad and my husband had one of the pizzas, they were both excellent! But if you’re going for a quiet evening, expecting romance, you won’t find it here. It has that open concept that includes the ceiling so it is extremely loud and vary hard to hear each other talking.
We’ve been coming here since it opened and always loved it, but lately the portions have been getting smaller and smaller. We went in Labor Day to grab a bite. I realize it was a holiday, but it wasn’t very busy. We waited 40 minutes for 2 orders of carmelized cauliflower “steak” and a Cesar salad and we left starving. There wasn’t even a full slice of cauliflower on either plate. The waiter was useless when I asked what happened to the portions. We were beyond disappointed.
Overall, this is a great place. I’m a fan of the Fox Restaurant Concepts and this place is no exception. Our food was tasty and the butterscotch dessert was amazing! The only improvement I would recommend is a more attentive server. While he was pleasant, we did not receive much attention or check ins after the food was served.
Jordan was the best server we could have had! Super attentive and welcoming!
The food and drinks were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The environment had a cool vibe. We will definitely be back!
One of our favorite places to eat in Phoenix. Really fun place to go and have some great food.
Everything was great except hostess did not do anything when I said I had an OPEN TABLE reservation.
This caused O T to send me a you didn't show up e-mail which I refuted, Check my credit card receipt.
Delicious pizzas and fresh, original salads served by friendly and professional staff in a lovely environment. My second visit in two days because it’s so good!
Busy place with good food and service. The pizza was good, not the best around the area. The chicken was delicious. Prices are reasonable and wait and bar tending staff are friendly and responsive.
It was delicious! The curry...wow!
Delicious salmon melts in your mouth with just the right accompaniment. Service was just right. Would recommend later evening reservations if you are looking for a night out away from the kids.
We really enjoyed both the venue and also the food. It was a great evening service was good
we had a lot of fun celebrating our friends burthday.
Much better service than our last visit. Very good food. Still very noisy. Arinn did a great job - informative, and knew the right time to engage a conversation and when to do her job of serving. Works as as a neighborhood dining spot.
Great food, great service, great wine with great friends!
Steak was well done but asked for medium rare. Service was good but had to look around for waitress every time there was a need. The open table reservation was not as helpful as calling directly.
Hunter works here. Need I say more.
Server was very good but we had to wait a long time for our food - she gave us a dessert on the House which helped!
You cannot ask for a better server than Hunter. Doughbird needs to add another Cider option. Too many good cider options to settle for Angry Orchard as the single offering
