Doughbird - Pizza & Rotisserie
It's impossible to find something on the menu that isn't delicious. Wide variety of dishes to almost any type of diet.
We were informed by the waitress there was only one bartender which I assume is why it took over a half hour to get our drinks and an hour to get our food. Great otherwise. I know people call out but if that isn't the reason mayne staff more people on a Sunday, people in Scottsdale/Phoenix like to brunch!
We had great service by Clifford. The food was fantastic too! We’ll definitely be back!
We had the pepperoni pizza, Brussels sprouts pizza and roast chicken. It was all delicious and the service was superior.
Delicious food. Only issue was that they didn’t have our Open Table reservation when we arrived. They were very apologetic and were able to seat us. Not sure at which end the problem was - DoughBird or OpenTable. But it made me a bit wary of relying on the app.
Pizza good. I would not order any of the other food again. the food is way over-priced.
Great food, service and atmosphere! We definitely recommend to my family and friends!
Their food is always fabulous and their chicken is to die for!
We love Dough Bird....but with one exception: The noise level is ridiculous. As a commercial and residential Interior Designer, I am well aware of techniques that can be used to "quiet" a public space---not to the level of a library, of course, but to "take the edge off" incrementally and lower the high decibel level. I am also aware that restaurants like to have an "energetic, hip, people-love-to-come-here vibe." But there is a limit to what customers find "energetic and 'happening'" and what gives them a headache from yelling to carry on a conversation. Dough Bird is very, very close to the "headache" category. A shame as everything else is spot-on.....food, service, atmosphere, etc. (I wish there were a "Would You Recommend To A Friend?" category that listed "with some serious reservations, depending on their noise tolerance.")
Incredible food paired with the stellar Sam Fox ambiance.
Server gave great recommendations and accommodated our special requests easily!
Excellent as always
My husband and I split a half Red Bird chicken dinner and The Aviator pizza. It all exceeded our expectations. So good!! Our waiter and service were fantastic. This is sure to become one of our neighborhood favorites. Can’t wait to try some of the other menu items like the Thai curry chicken. Saturday night was busy so make a reservation to avoid waiting an hour. Though it’s worth the wait!!
The food was great. The Thai chicken curry was sliced just right. Great aviator pizza. Will return
Great place for open space dining. Food was good with great pizza, sandwiches and more.
I could not eat the pizza. It was hard and tough. It tasted like it was prepared a few days ago. The waitress removed my plate with six slices still on it and did not asked me why I did not want to take the rest home.
This place is impossible to get into on a Friday night but no issues getting a reservation on a Saturday. The service was excellent and the pizza is excellent.
Always a great meal with the family. Love that Fox Restaurants is Arcadia based and we get to experience all of their awesome concepts!! Thx
We always enjoy Doughbird. It is not close to home, but always well worth the trip, or we always stop by if we are in the area. We like to go early for lunch. It is quiet and relaxing. We love the pizza, however we do miss our favorite pizza ever, the Pastrami pizza. The chicken is always great! And our appetizers are ones that we crave...the Shishito Peppers with the Umami sauce and of course the truffle bread.
We will continue to keep going back as often as we can! Sam Fox needs to build a Doughbird in the northeast valley!!
Love it! Great for kids!
Service was impeccable and the restaurant itself is beautifully appointed. All of the food was delicious but extra outstanding was the vegetarian dish oh cauliflower steak. The flavors were fresh and crisp and married wonderfully
We had been wanting to try Doughbird for a while but it is across town for us. But we had an Anniversary recently and wanted to do something fun. We had a great time. We were impressed. Service was prompt, knowledgable and friendly. We started with cocktails and they were unique and well prepared. For starters we had the Garden Chop Salad and Buffalo Wings, both were excellent. Finally we had the Aviator Pizza which was perfect. Greta crust, great meat topping and super smokey bacon. At the end of our meal our server offered free desert for our Anniversary, we chose Warm Butterscotch Cake, it was to die for! We'll definitely be back.
Our 2nd visit here and it was great. Visited on Easter and were luck enough to score a reservation late in wk prior. Our waitress was so sweet and ever so accommodating to my husband's requests. Food was amazing and we will definitely be back. Menu is simple and straightforward. Chicken is their main focus. Delish!!!
Slow service. Waited about 15 min for our drinks to appear and another 15 for the appetiser. The prime rib my husband had was excellent but my pizza was so salty I couldn’t eat it. The Manager did apologise and took the pizza off our bill which we very much appreciated. The restaurant is loud so it can be difficult to hear your dinner partner.
Super yummy gluten free pizza crust. It was a special treat to have.
This was our fourth time here, Food excellent every time! Nicole was an excellent server!
Love the food and service. It is always perfect. Wish it was not so loud inside the restaurant.
We love Doughbird and would love to give a 5 star review but although all the food was delicious, the entrees were barely warm. I had the chicken and my husband had the prime rib. Both were very good but they were not very hot. We enjoyed several appetizers and they were hot and delicious. The service was excellent and it was a wonderful evening. Doughbird is still one of our favorite restaurants.
Everyone had a different menu item, all were chicken, and each really enjoyed their dish. Our server was attentive, witty, and professional.
Seems like the food gets better each time we go here. Now it’s pretty hard to beat.
I will admit, we are very partial when it comes to Fox Restaurants. We haven’t found one that we disliked. Doughbird is another spot where we will definitely be coming back to!
Service was great - Clifford was very punctual & came to the table when needed but not asked. We got the food at perfect intervals &
I had the BBQ salad and it was very tasty!
Very interesting concept and some unique dishes. A little pricey, but not crazy. My only suggiotion is that the menu could be more descriptive
Excellent service and good value. Great place for all ages.
Pizzas were great. A little crispy, a little chewy. A great combination in my opinion. The garden chop salad was a great portion to share for three and was well dressed, great flavor. 2 pizzas and salad were more than enough for us. Can't wait to try the chicken
On Fri 3/29, 3 of us ordered 3 meals: a Margarita pizza, prime rib and the Chicken Pot Pie. The only meal of any consequence was the Chicken Pot Pie.
The pizza fell flat: plain tasting and over-cheesed. Even the addition of roasted garlic, mushrooms and olives didn’t help, except for the wanting of more garlic, mushrooms and olives.
The prime rib, order medium rare, was closer to medium well. It was over-cooked, dry, and grainy. There was as much fat as there was meat, and it was served almost cold. The addition of the Mac and Cheese was a huge mistake. It was flavorless and served in such a small amount, it could not be assumed to be a side, but an amuse. The mac and cheese was replaced with over-cooked, seemingly over-boiled broccoli. Again, served cold, and with so much water that one would have thought it was soup.
Water glasses were not refilled , and drinks were not reordered because it was evidently assumed we didn’t wanted more, so we were never asked.
I had been to Doughbird before and had a great food and service and overall nice evening out. So an occasional negative experience is not unusual.
What I ordered and what I received for the price I anticipated, was greatly different. The initial management explanation was about what it used to be and what it is now instead of really addressing my issue until I mentioned it to them 3 times.
Aside from a rather pesky fly that would not leave us alone, it was a lovely lunch.
Love this restaurant! Great food!
