Doughbird - Pizza & Rotisserie
Minor issue with bill - we caught it on time for the waiter to go back to take out the extra items from bill.
Great food and atmosphere. Chicken is most and tasty. Brussel sprouts were over cooked and difficult to eat.
The overall experience was great, there was only one downside and that was the waiting area - there isn’t much of one. Made a reservation in advance, got there a little bit early. We wind up waiting almost until the timer reservation time which was not unexpected. The food was excellent, for the most part. My girlfriend salad had chicken and avocado but the chicken was a little undercooked and had a few bones. The staff was very nice, and took the salad off of our bill. Even more impressive is the manager came over to the table and apologized in person, and offered desert on him. We had other plans so we did not except that offer of dessert but it was a nice way of showing great customer service. The cocktails were outstanding as well, a limited menu but exceptional in every way. This was my second time here, and both times have been outstanding.
Great Aviator pizza. Waitstaff was very courteous. Very laid back. We’ll be back.
We absolutely love Doughbird. We live in the north valley, but i work near the airport and lover to come in for lunch or happy hour as often as I can. Love the food !
Great good. Great service!
Food is good, just a bot expensive for portions served.
Everything was great. The pizza was a bit greasy though. Love the hummus!
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening! We will be back!
Food was great. Family style pizza
Waited 1.5 hours for pizza. Two pizzas. App came after 1 hour. No one came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. Or even offered the app for free because of the delay. Won’t be back.
We have never been disappointed at DoughBird.
Great food, beautiful environment and awesome wait staff. Love this place!
not up to par for a Fox restaurant. The pizza was under cooked on the bottom and the chicken was almost tasteless. Doubt if we will return.
Incredible both the Pizza & Chicken were fabulous! Definitely recommend the Lemon Garlic sauce for the chicken. It’s like the Papa John’s pizza sauce on Steroids! Highly recommend that sauce with the chicken.
The waitstaff is fabulous- the ambiance is fun - but $80 for two people dining without alcohol or dessert is a bit steep!
1/2 chicken and one side $17 (it was 1/2 fatty cartilage- which made 1/2 of it inedible ) and being vegan shouldn’t be so difficult, every restaurant should have a secret vegan menu that can be made by the chef.. and not outrageously priced, just $15 or so.. instead I had to settle for ordering a meal of sides with modifications! (And honestly quite bland)
I love the look of the place, and friendly staff.. but I wish they could be more accommodating to dietary restricted patrons!
Nice for a casual or family meal. Not sure how the rotisserie and pizza go together though.
The pizza was inconsistent - which I realize can occur in word fired ovens.... but these are professionals.
Also, would have preferred some nicer beer options.
Otherwise, a pleasant experience.
Good food but very busy. Reservations are a must. Eat chicken . Salads are great too
Always good but this time the gluten free pizza was not great... cheese hadn’t melted.. weird... salad was short on dressing... when they r busy not a good time to be there! I guess...
I’d go back, hopefully better..
First dining experience at Doughbird. Food was delicious! Pizza with brussel sprouts and pistachios was AWESOME...others at our table had the rotisserie chicken and enjoyed that as well. Server was OUTSTANDING and VERY ACCOMMODATING with menu suggestions and our separate check request. Prices are a bit high, but if you can take home leftovers, it helps make it 2 meals.
Excellent food and darling restaurant. We have loved everything we have eaten there.
We all got pizzas and love the buffalo sauce! Amazing every time!
We each had a different salad. Portions were really to big but very tasty. Pizza was a bit bland
This was probably my tenth experience at Doughbird. It’s perfect for business lunches. The food is always great and service is good too. I’ve never had a bad experience here.
It's impossible to find something on the menu that isn't delicious. Wide variety of dishes to almost any type of diet.
We were informed by the waitress there was only one bartender which I assume is why it took over a half hour to get our drinks and an hour to get our food. Great otherwise. I know people call out but if that isn't the reason mayne staff more people on a Sunday, people in Scottsdale/Phoenix like to brunch!
We had great service by Clifford. The food was fantastic too! We’ll definitely be back!
We had the pepperoni pizza, Brussels sprouts pizza and roast chicken. It was all delicious and the service was superior.
Delicious food. Only issue was that they didn’t have our Open Table reservation when we arrived. They were very apologetic and were able to seat us. Not sure at which end the problem was - DoughBird or OpenTable. But it made me a bit wary of relying on the app.
Pizza good. I would not order any of the other food again. the food is way over-priced.
Great food, service and atmosphere! We definitely recommend to my family and friends!
Their food is always fabulous and their chicken is to die for!
We love Dough Bird....but with one exception: The noise level is ridiculous. As a commercial and residential Interior Designer, I am well aware of techniques that can be used to "quiet" a public space---not to the level of a library, of course, but to "take the edge off" incrementally and lower the high decibel level. I am also aware that restaurants like to have an "energetic, hip, people-love-to-come-here vibe." But there is a limit to what customers find "energetic and 'happening'" and what gives them a headache from yelling to carry on a conversation. Dough Bird is very, very close to the "headache" category. A shame as everything else is spot-on.....food, service, atmosphere, etc. (I wish there were a "Would You Recommend To A Friend?" category that listed "with some serious reservations, depending on their noise tolerance.")
Incredible food paired with the stellar Sam Fox ambiance.
Server gave great recommendations and accommodated our special requests easily!
Excellent as always
My husband and I split a half Red Bird chicken dinner and The Aviator pizza. It all exceeded our expectations. So good!! Our waiter and service were fantastic. This is sure to become one of our neighborhood favorites. Can’t wait to try some of the other menu items like the Thai curry chicken. Saturday night was busy so make a reservation to avoid waiting an hour. Though it’s worth the wait!!
The food was great. The Thai chicken curry was sliced just right. Great aviator pizza. Will return
