Excellent service, knowledgeable wait staff. Excellent food prepared as requested. Saxophonist was very nice and added to the special evening. Will go back when in the area.

Perfection — great ambience, superb cocktails, excellent food, impeccable service. With so many mediocre restaurants in the Dells, this is a bright spot — worth every penny!

Positives: service and the look of the place was amazing. Cocktails were on point. Our waitress was prompt, friendly and fun, an absolute sweet heart. Cheyenne, girl you killed it!
Negatives: my husbands steak was nearly inedible it was so salty. The garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic flavor and the texture was aweful. My steak was cooked well but poorly seasoned. I hate returning food, but had to return my lobster because of over salting.
Over all, if you want a place with good service, atmosphere, and drinks, I recommend. But dont bother wasting your money on the food.

Our server, Jara was and is always amazing. She remembers the kind of drink we have every time and is very attentive. The food and drinks are always amazing as well.

What a little gem! I would definitely recommend the miso crusted sea bass and lobster bisque. The presentation of the food was gorgeous, the flavors were intense and the texture of the sea bass was so tender it was like butter in my mouth. Our service was quick and the servers were very friendly. The quality of the meal and the ambience were worth every penny, especially the sax player and waiting areas with the fire, they were cozy and inviting. Would definitely recommend for an extravagant night out!

This might have been the best meal I have ever had in my life. We got the escargot, scallops, tomahawk steak, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. Not one of the dishes could have been improved in any way. The creme brulé was an amazing way to end the meal as well. The staff made us feel welcome and helped answer all our questions. My boyfriend and I are already planning our next trip back to the area just so we can eat here again.

I enjoyed dining here. The people waiting on us were punctual when my steak was undercooked and went back and fixed it, though there was still a VERY small part that was under medium. They served the food surprisingly quickly and our family friend with special needs never really lost patience because the wait was not long. They make the restaurant kid friendly, yet beautiful. Very sanitary and clean also. It is VERY expensive, but you get what you pay for, in my opinion. You get phenomenal food (definitely get their pasta and their seasonal veggies, yum) and fancy peaceful seating to enjoy company. No bones to pick here. :) outside of the steak bones, obviously, if you choose to get a steak with bone ;) The Dells and Kalahari did a great job adding this restaraunt!!!!! A wonderful dinner for my mother and her friends' birthday celebration!

This was our third trip to Double Cut, and it was as great as we remembered. Our server, Ashley, was outstanding. She was personable and professional. My husband ordered a wedge salad a medium rare filet, and hash brown potatoes. I chose the farm to table salad and lamb porterhouse, served with a wonderful combination of purreed butternut squash, Brussels sprouts and oyster mushrooms. We shared a creme brulee for dessert. Food was delicious, ambiance of soft jazz, lovely fireplaces with deep chairs around them complemented the food well. We will be back!

We went for my little sister's 20th Birthday. Our party of four all enjoyed the calamari and steaks. Wine was great. Our waitress was very professional and sweet. The place was nice for conservations and the sax man played great songs!

My family and friends were here for a dance competition - for a place at first glance might be mistaken as a jacket and tie type of restaurant (very classy inside) they were very inviting to those of us that were dressed casually at such an event for our kids. The food was amazing, the staff was very accommodating to the picky tastes of the kids. I had the salmon (AMAZING). My wife had crab cakes (STELLAR), and you just have to try the thick cut bacon dipped in syrup. My 11 year old daughter, who is somewhat picky when it comes to steaks and mac n cheese, LOVED her food. So all in all, this place is a favorite of our when we come back to the Dells.

Food was fantastic! Little pricey but we knew that going in and it was worth it. You’re going to pay a lot in a matter where you’re at in the Dells you might as well spend a little extra for really good food!

We ordered two Brandy old fashioned sweet. Neither were sweet ;(.

Food was good .. waving the smoke under the glass done from the salmon at the table was a little odd .. I don't want parlor tricks .. just good food.....

The prime rib was excellent and our server was decent. The steak 4oz filet mignon kids meal was ordered medium and served very over done. The steak was sent back but at that point it would have kept us there longer and a toddler without his food so we did not get another one and it was removed from the bill. The steak tasted awful because it was so overdone. The restaurant was nice and our service was decent but not worth the money for food.

The best meal I’ve ever had in the Dells! I’m sorry we didn’t get to this gem sooner. We ordered the wonton tacos, lobster bisque, filet, bone in ribeye, sea bass, Mac and cheese(amazing), spinach, and creamed corn. Everything was great. Can’t wait to come back

Food was definitely worth the money. Waiter didn't bring bread to the table, messed up on order. Ordered mash potatoes but got asparagus. Came for the ribs but they where all out. First arriving at the restaurant, no host/hostess and had to wait 10-15 minutes. Overall, not a bad place for steak. Would go again.

The food at Double Cut is wonderful, however extremely expensive. When I am paying that kind of money for dinner I want my experience to be wonderful as well. The Saturday night that I went with my husband for our 5th wedding anniversary, there was a cheer conference going on at the Kalahari. The restaurant was loud, full of kids and not a good experience. I realize this restaurant is next to a hotel, but it was out of control with kids. I do not want to spend $200 + on a dinner only to have a loud obnoxious environment. I was very, very disappointed and still am not over the amount of money we spent to have that kind of atmosphere. I will not be returning.

People very nice and accommodating. Staff stated it was a new menu - so they weren't as familiar with questions. Because menu online is slightly different than new menu, recommend them matching. Steak was not prepared quite right but they rectified it quickly and then it was better.
For the price, quality of food was not spot on but this was my first time so I would go back and give them another shot.

Great food, however we had a 4:00 pm reservation and the doors were locked at 4 pm. No one showed up until about 4:10 pm. We almost left, but waited. Should have been given a free cocktail or something for the issue, but nothing offered, not even an apology.

My wife and I tried to enjoy a nice dinner and we enjoyed the first 15 minutes before a table of 25 adults and 20 children showed up right next to us. The group was horribly loud and obviously drunk with the language we heard. You would think they would have put the group in a private room, but I am sure they did not want to pay for it.

We spent over $300 in dinner & wine, but our experience was horrible. We could not hear each other and quickly finished our dinner to get the hell out of there. We came here a year ago with our family and actually ordered the private room, next time push that group there to not ruin the experience of others to accommodate a large, drunk group

Double Cut? More like double the sodium. The food here was so, so salty that it was practically inedible. After a few bites of my entree, I found myself chasing it with glasses of water and a baked potato. We started out with martinis - very good. Followed that with the Farmer's salad. That was delicious, but pretty salty. Now for the entrees...My scallops were tiny and literally coated in what looked like kosher salt. My fiance ordered a steak, which he also reported to be horrendously sodium-laden. Even our brussel sprouts were covered in salt. Aside from the food being awful, our waitress was completely devoid of personality. Common sense may have been lacking, too; she brought the salad course at the same time as the entrees. This is supposed to be a high-end restaurant - at least it's priced like one - so to say that we were disappointed with our experience is a true understatement. Save yourself the money and go wild at the Brew Pub next door.

My daughter and I had a good experience dining. We were out for her birthday. We had tthe private wine room seating and left door open to be able to hear live musician. It felt like our own restaurant with a private musician , it made it special. Our server was very friendly and accomadating . The only reason not 5 stars is that my daughter ordered salmon, one of her favorite things to have and it was rather fishy. This knocks the food and value down. I had the filet and it was butter tender and flavorful. Sides are meant to share order accordingly

Romantic setting with fire. Enjoyed adult crowd without small children. Quiet setting in dining area by fireplace to be able to talk. Suggestion to keep adults and couples in fireplace area. This is evening dining. Food, waitress, host and everyone very professional and accommodating.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night while staying at the Kalahari and let me say we were not disappointing. We got there a little earlier so we could get a drink and just relax before dinner. There was a live sax player and let me just say that he was incredible! He played the song I requested and he blew us away so that made dinner even better. Our server was on point the entire night with recommendations, to refills on our drinks. And the FOOD! My boyfriend got the prime rib ( which he was nice enough to share some) and it was so good! I got the scallops and they were perfectly seasoned and a delicate dinner. We split the lobster mac n cheese and it was probably the best mac n cheese I have ever had, it was creamy and not too much. I loved the atmosphere as well, a darker setting and fire places made for a nice comfortable and romantic evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a wonderful dinning experience.

This was not our first visit to double cut. We almost always enjoy a meal here when staying at the Kalahari. This particular visit has left us a bit disappointed for several reasons. The service was slow and very inattentive. The seafood tower for two was underwhelming at best, with four 26/30 count shrimp trying to be passed off as jumbo, a single crab leg split in half and jammed in ice and with a $60 price tag this is unacceptable. The escargot was nearly burned with the bread crumb topping being overcooked and the butter being scorched it was very dissappointing. When we asked our server if the chili was spicy we were told it was not, so we ordered it for our ten year old. When it arrived it was indeed too spicy for a child who enjoys items such as buffalo wings. Last but not least we have made a tradition of celebrating a birthday at double cut and this time our Sons birthday was not acknowledged by our server, had it not been the previous three years this would not have been an issue. Overall we were very disappointed with our visit and hope these issues can be corrected as we would love to return again soon.

You chefs serve my T bone over easy when i clearly order well Done. Plus i really Believe you prices are to much for what you offer. The front people let me and my family, seat next to the fire place for 15 min. With out give me any notice what i should do. I don't feel i will back there but i do understand I'm just a Latino guy making a complaint thank you so much.
