Found a hair in my salad. Wife ordered one thing got another. Was never apologized to for either. Prices were very high for mediocre food.
Overall, it's the food that keeps us coming back to this spot! The service is okay (our server may have been new - didn't seem to know anything about the food or drink menu) and the place is loud, but the food is so good we just cant stay away! The Short Rib Papardelle is AMAZING, but so is everything we've ever tried!
I was an avid fan of the Copper Oak in the casino, but Double Cut has started to win me over with the problem the Copper Oak has. They are working on them but I need my steak and I now will frequent both places.
I loved the atmosphere but was a bit disappointed at the amount of children that were there. I knew there would be some being the Kalahari but we made later plans thinking most of the kids would be passed through and that wasn’t the case. We came for our anniversary and have four kids so we loved relaxing near the fire pits with a cocktail before dinner but was a little disappointed when we wanted to return after supper and there were a bunch of little girls in the area. I enjoyed the sax player and really just wanted to relax again. When we left at 9pm a huge party of people came in with strollers and babies. I thought for the price that it would deter people but apparently not.
It was amazing!!! I would recommend this to everyone I know!
Steak was not cooked as ordered server took it back and instead of cooking a new steak the recooked the original steak which resulted in it being dry also had not flavor. Would never dine there again.
Jara our server was nothing short of Amazing..... She was perfect with our kids and made the meal taste even better than it was..... SHE IS A KEEPER, PLEASE LET HER KNOW.
This restaurant costs way too much money . I have been to nicer restaurants for less money and better food.
Not impressed, you're better off going to Kaminski Brothers Chop house if going for a nice dinner night/date. Very loud with kids running around everywhere.
I went for a Valentine’s Day dinner and the food wasn’t bad but the service was awful and when we brought it to the our servers attention her and the manager acted like it was no big deal. I’m fine with spending money on a good meal at a higher class restaurant but I expect good service and you don’t have it. I will never eat here again and will never recommend the double cut grill
I booked a trip to the Kalahari for my sons birthday. My wife and I decided to eat at Double Cut and brings the kids along. My initial impression upon walking through the door was that it was a nicely decorated restaurant and great atmosphere. Despite not being a children’s restaurant, the staff was very accommodating with a high chair and kids menus. We were seated and that is where disappointment began to set in. We made our selections and provided our choices to the waitress. Let me tell you, it took nearly 45 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived, everyone’s was decent (my wife’s chicken was great), but, my $48 steak was absolutely nothing to write home about. The only flavor it had was from the char marks. We were checked on once and it’s my fault I didn’t pipe up and inform them of the dissatisfaction. I kept eating thinking it would get even slightly better. Once we were done, we sat for a while until we were able to gather our boxes and finally move on to something better, dessert at the ice cream stand in the main hotel lobby. I would not recommend to go here for a steak. I’ve been to many steak joints and I enjoy a good cut with excellent flavor, something this steak was lacking (also a third of the entire bill).
Double Cut is an amazing restaurant always an awesome time filled with great food and drinks.
Food was not the quality that you pay for.
So yummy! Great service, delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. So glad we ended our trip with this fun spot!
Our group of 6 adults selected Double Cut to celebrate family events; we were seated at a wonderful round table and received great service. Great steaks, seafood and wine. The 'sides to share' were fun but large so don't over order. We ordered 3 and it was too much for 6. I wouldn't consider this a child appropriate place.
Since when did energetic become having to yell to be heard by the person sitting next to you?!? Branded a high-end steak house, yet people with shorts and flip-flops were seated right next to us.... In the middle of JANUARY! WAY to pricey for the clientele. Asked to be seated no where near children and we were seated right between two 8-person tables, both with 2 screaming meemies. Service was really slow. Waited 20 minutes (timed) between ordering dessert and receiving dessert and between asking for check and getting check. Spend your money elsewhere.
Everything was perfect!!!! It exceeded our expectations!!
New Year’s Eve celebration!
We had a group of 6 people and our reservation was for New Years Eve. We arrived on time and our table was ready. Our waitress was well informed and very accommodating! One person in our party was in a wheelchair and the hostess made sure our table was in a good location and wheelchair accessible. The food was spectacular, the steaks were prepared to everyone’s liking and the tuna tartare appetizer was delicious! We had a great time and I highly recommend the Double Cut Steakhouse. An added plus was booking the reservation with the Open Table app. Very user friendly!
Our server, Andrew, was AWESOME! Very friendly and made sure our grandson had his glutten free bread with his meal and very conscientious about his allergy.
Nice place that other guests made it casual with tracksuit pants tights and hoodies
Dress up a bit or go to Mcdonalds
Servers were wonderful and the steak and crab were spectacular
Food was incredible! Service could have been a little better. Waitress seemed to disappear at times. Food was delivered and then she never seemed to come back. Dessert was amazing. Live Jazz music was a little much. When calling restaurant you cannot hear anything, as the musician is right next to hostess stand. When sitting in back dining room music is tolerable but still a little loud.
Lovely atmosphere but the service was awful. Waited over an hour for 2 medium steaks and some kids meals. Steaks came out over done like they were rushed through. We were really looking forward to a nice meal for our daughters birthday. Wouldn’t go back or recommend.
Christmas Dinner-was outstanding, my son and husband had Prime Rib-best they ever ate. My filet was great and so was crab stuffed shrimp. Really good garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus too. Nice pace and quiet. Took home the family size cheesecake for dessert. All was delicious.
I will assume that this had something to do with it being Christmas evening...but I did not enjoy this at all. The server was aloof; when we saw her. After waiting almost 30 minutes, we had to flag down the manager to get our bill. None of the food was hot. One steak was not as requested; lobster mac and cheese was cold, with only one piece of lobster in it, and totally flavorless. This was an epic fail on every conceivable level!
Food was very good, and service was excellent - from the servers to the manager. Great to have such a wonderful experience at an elegant restaurant even though we brought a large group including a number of small children.
I loved the food and atmosphere.
Food was spectacular from start to finish. Great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great meal all around.
We didn’t feel the price was correct for just a piece of steak and pay extra for sides ! Drinks are outrageously priced! We had the oysters Rockefeller wasn’t all that great! Disliked the mozzarella cheese appetizer! It was Thanksgiving and should have had a Turkey meal option!
We have gone to this restaurant for the a number of years. But this was the worse service and food we've gotten. It wasn't even that busy. Our group was large (19). We didn't get bread till we had been sitting there for about 45 minutes. Our water never got refilled. When our food came it was cold. We didn't want to wait any longer so we didn't complain. Once the waitress served the food, we didn't see them again till they brought the check and asked if we wanted to dessert. For the price you pay the service and food quality should be outstanding! Won't return next year.
Service was very good and the meat was cooked to order .Great wine and liquor list. Staff did not try to rush
The Filet was very tender and tasty, but I got my husband's medium rare and he got my medium (mine was topped with mushrooms so we couldn't trade and just ate what we got as we were hungry and eating with another couple). No salad comes with the meal which is a big disappointment. Also, I ordered the Gruyere Popover which was very good, but the Maple Bourbon butter served with it is definitely a different and very strong flavor. Unfortunately, not a flavor I cared for. The sides to share indicate they feed 3 people, but the portions are very small. Compared to another similar restaurant in the area, the portions and overall experience were quite disappointing.
Fabulous steaks, cooked to perfection.
High price. Good atmosphere and service. Quality of food little disappointing for high price.
Andrew was an amazing waiter! He was very knowledgeable and aware of my gluten allergy. The food and drinks were amazing-we greatly enjoyed it!
The food, service, atmosphere were all stellar. We had an infant and a noisy toddler, and were treated with the utmost respect in spite of it. Our only complaint is that although we were celebrating both a wedding AND a birthday, there wasn’t so much as a congratulations. (We’d answered several times what the occasions were, only when asked, but it seemed nobody actually cared what the answer was. Why ask if you’re not going to at least acknowledge the reply?) We will definitely be back, but only for a special occasion, even if the staff doesn’t care what the occasion is.
Service was good. Prime rib was very tough and zero flavor. My daughter's fillet had a heavy burnt flavor. First impressions are everything, and after a hard earned $160 with tip, it was my last.
Food was wonderful! Our server was terrific, our 10 yr old was not hungry and our 5 yr old doesn't eat much, so we only ordered 1 kids meal. The waitress took it upon herself to have the meal split on to two plates. It doesn't sound like much but it was wonderful to have a waitress that cared and paid attention.
