Double Cut Grill - Wisconsin Dells
Like the restaurant itself, the menu departs from a classic steakhouse without chasing away the traditionalists. Categories range from classic steaks and chops to seafood.
Of all the high end steak houses in the Wisconsin Dells area, Double Cut is by far the best service, quality of food, and ambiance for our tastes.
Only complaint was that the Brussel sprouts were listed on the menu as 'steamed' but they were roasted. So a bit disappointed with them. Otherwise everything was excellent!
Food and service was amazing! We will be back. Highly reccomend!

Service was terrible, took 25 minutes to get a water. Overall meal took 3 hours, steak was 75% fat with 2/3 people that ordered one.
Our server checked on us once in the 45 minutes we were there, refilled my water once my girlfriends soda once only after we had to wait 30 minutes and finally just asked for our check. It wasn’t even a lot of ppl in the restaurant.... I don’t know if the server was just busy but it felt quite disrespectful to not simply be able to enjoy a cup of water on a $100 dinner tab.
Very good place to eat. Service was outstanding. Been there before, and gets better each time we visit.
Went here for a birthday dinner, host was very friendly and prompt, Our server was great as well. My girlfriend and I ordered a salad and starter of Calimari which were amazing but that’s were the it ended. We ordered the linguini and lobster Mac, the linguini was bland sauce was too thick to enjoy, reminded my girl friend of something from Olive Garden. The lobster Mac wasn’t bad but wasn’t definitely not worth its $19 price. Maybe it was just a bad night but we both left very disappointed for the price we had paid.
The food was very good but relies much on butter, the prices a little steep, I was a little disappointed there were no prime rib on Sunday. Overall a good experience, I would return/ recommend.
The staff was very professional, from the moment you entered the establishment to when one ordered from the menu, even from the menu, the foods were prepared on a reasonable time, and tasted great, surpassed my expectation. I would highly recommended for a romantic dinning experience.
I was in with my family and the food was ok ... our oysters had a fishy taste but was bland ... the and prime rib was bland also then my sides were submerged in the au jour which made it mushy ... it was not the experience that we hoped for in a steak house but the drinks were good.

I’ve been here multiple times in the past because the food has always been worth the price, but this time, the food quality was not the same. The steak was not prepared to my request. The mushrooms had little flavoring and the mashed potatoes were soaking in butter. Out of the entire meal, I enjoyed the warm bread and my salad the most; which is disappointing when you’re there for the entree. On the other hand, the staff was great and the atmosphere is still relaxing.
A must visit spot if you want a delicious meal. Everything was great! The cheese case is delicious & big enough for two people,

Loved everything! The filets are amazing. The King Crab claw was divine! My favorite drink, the passionate affair. DC nailed everything again.
Every time my family is in the Dells, Double Cut is a must. We all love it.
Been to double cut 2 times before. This time we didn’t think the food was as good as the last 2 times and service was ok. Not too excited to go back again.
Great food, great drinks, great service, great atmosphere.
Steaks were undercooked. Lobster bisque was bland and tasted like it was made from a dry mix, not worth the $14.

Weekend trip with the family to the Dells. Amazing time at Double Cut with our 2 kids. We sat in the wine cellar room and it was amazing. Such a great place with awesome food and the staff. Looking forward to our next trip.
This restaurant is a bit pricey but I promise it's worth every penny. The food is excellent and the portions generous.
Pricey but the filet mignon, scallops, carrots with honey rosemary, Madeira mushrooms were phenomenal!
Meal was wonderful. Beautiful presentation and great flavor.
It was the best steak I’ve ever had, my husband agreed. The waitress was very attentive, we had two little ones with us and she handled our table nicely. Everyone loved the food. Definitely going to make another trip up there just for this restaurant.
The huge bowl of mascarpone cheese was greatly appreciated for dessert! 😜 Everything was delicious. Thank you very much.
First time at Double Cut and cannot wait to return. We arrived early for our reservation but were able to be seated immediately. Food was outstanding. Had the calamari for an appetizer and Friday fish fry for themeal. Yum! Brandon was our waiter and he was wonderful - funny and attentive - hope we can have him wait on us again. Have already recommended Double Cut to numerous people. Thank you for a great evening.
Bar service was bad. 2 bartenders and it was slow. They didn’t seem interested in the patrons.
Service was extremely slow. Waited a very long time for our drinks. Steak was overdone and had to be sent back for a new one. Quality was not there for the price spent.
food was great. steak were done as asked. both medium rare. very good. side dishes were great as well. prices were i think a slight bit higher then it needed to be, but really was good. drinks were definitely on the too high side. beer prices were in expected range. we reserved ahead of time and waited less than 5 minutes to get sat down in a booth. the staff was great and back several times to check on us during the meal. the only thing that i did not like was the noise level in the area we sat. it was load and we had to talk to each other in louder tones to hear each other. other than that everything was great.
Easily some of the best food I have ever had. Service was great as well. Definitely recommend
Had the fish fry and a couple of bottles of wine.
The fish was awesome. They have an excellent selection of wine. Something for everyone.

Outrageously expensive for small portions of food that is the same quality as a place like Texas Roadhouse. Not worth the money, paid $165 for Chicken, Steak, Potatoes, and wine. All the good stuff is A La Carte, $52 for an 8 oz Steak, you’ve got to be kidding me. Would not recommend, and would never come back.
Our server Brandon was very engaging. He had many conversations with us throughout the evening about various topics.
The food was excellent with one exception. One of the four steaks that was ordered at our table came out overcooked. How that was handled was exceptional. The waiter took it back to the kitchen right away, the chef then came out and apologized and told us that a new one was being prepared. The new one took a little bit but we were OK with that as we felt they were taking their time to get it instead of rushing it by cooking it quickly. Once the new steak was brought out, it was cut into and this time it was perfect. Both the waiter and the chef stopped by the table to verify that the steak was cooked as expected.
The one area where we felt things could improve is in the amount of time we waited; we waited longer than expected for our drinks, both the first round and second round as well as the amount of time we waited for our table to be cleared after we were finished eating and before we had dessert. This was done by someone other than the waiter and we felt like it could have been done sooner. The restaurant was steady but didn't appear to be overly busy as there were several empty tables.
Overall it was a very good experience and we all said we would go back.
Everything was absolutely amazing!!! We love this place!!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
It may have just been the evening we were there. My steak was undercooked. My wife’s rosemary chicken just had way too many extra ingredient to go along with being very fatty. The steamed broccoli was served on a stalk uncut and cold. The garlic mashed potatoes were more like mush and five or more cloves in it. Way too much garlic.
My work allows me to travel and eat at dozens on high end restaurants and the feel that the Sunday my family ate there was not Double Cuts best night.
Our waitress was not prompt or helpful. At a resort on a travel day like Sunday with an empty restaurant you’d expect more interaction than the four encounters we received.
The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was super cool however I left very unimpressed having spent $350 on dinner.
It may have just been my steak, maybe the regular chef was off, maybe it was because it was Sunday but regardless not their best effort or maybe it’s just not a high end restaurant.
My sons 4oz kids menu steak looked really good though.
This place is the restaurant treasure of the Dells! This was my second time here this year. Everything I’ve eaten there was great no complaints. And they have an awesome Happy Hour!
Food tasted frozen, calamari was hard as a rock. Risotto was extremely salty. Server needs to take a hint when to stop talking and trying to convince their guests to ditch their significant others to go out to bars and drink while they are on vacation. Extremely unprofessional. Expensive for no reason.
