Dos Locos Rehoboth Ratings and Reviews
We come to Dos Locos every time we are in town. the wait staff are always so friendly and they always ask how we are doing and how our grandsons are. they want to know when we are going to bring them with us. They like to entertain our grandsons and they always get them cheesy rice, their favorite. The food is great especially the Locos Enchiladas, Crab and DelMar Quesadillas, Fish Tacos and Fajitas. Dos Locos is one of our favorite things to do when we are at the beach!
Decent mexican food with some twists, like lobster and lamb. Good, quick service. Open table reservation was honored and table for 6 was ready when we arrived. Pitchers of marguaritas were somewhat watered down - from the ice? Just didn't seem to have much flavor or tequila. I had veggie fajitas with some strips of steak and it was excellent. Enjoy!
This place is our "go to" place when we are in Rehoboth. Being gluten-free is a huge challenge for me while eating out. I always get people that take Celiac very seriously when I eat here. Their food is amazing and there are so many options for someone like me eating there. Love it!🍷
Place always looks lively so wanted to try it - the server was okay - nothing special - drinks and chips and salsa were good. Got chicken fajitas and the chicken was just terrible- they don't cook chicken with the veggies- although said it on menu didn't realize how bad it would be - so fun place although food isn't anything special
When come to rehoboth, we always stop at Dos Locos. Atmosphere is great, drinks are flowing, and food is outstanding. I had the crab and shrimp burrito which is full of both. You get you money's worth. Most also leave with leftover because the portion are large.
My wife and I showed up 30 minutes early for our dinner reservation but the host was able to quickly seat us. Started with a pitcher of Margaritas which could have used a bit more tequila but were tasty nonetheless. Ordered the chicken and ground beef burritos. Portions were ample and seasoned well. Server was prompt and polite but not over the top with friendliness. A pleasant evening overall.
Excellent choice for a diverse family with picky eaters. This is an annual stop for us during our "beach week" vacation with our adult children. One eats NO seafood. The significant other of another is a FOODIE. Everyone is happy with the menu, presentation, quality of food and drink at Dos Locos.
The hostess was incredibly rude and appeared to hate children. We made a reservation for five people and when we arrived, she told us that we needed to specify that we required a high chair in the reservation. She did not want to seat us and made sure we knew we were not welcome. She carried on a conversation complaining about us with whom appeared to be a manager (or someone in training?), in front of us, while we were seated next to the hostess stand.
We totally understand how seating can be tricky with children and a general comment, like, "hey, next time just be sure to indicate you need a high chair so you don't encounter any delays" would have been sufficient. But, to go out of her way to be rude? I would have taken it personally, but we observed her being just as unfriendly to other families who walked in. The restaurant was not full and there appeared to be various seating options.
It's too bad because our server was pleasant and efficient (only reason why we gave two stars instead of one). The kids enjoyed their meals and we probably would have too had we not felt so unwelcome.
Went at 5, just before the dinner rush starts. The wait staff was standing around staring the first 30 minutes we were there, like anywhere between 2 to 5 people talking while looking at everyone in the restaurant. It was off putting and I tried to hide in the corner of the booth as much as possible. This stopped once the restaurant filled but maybe think about not creeping your female guests out by having male servers just stand and look at them while they review the menu and eat chips.
Was really hoping for a taco salad but their version is only sold on the lunch menu until 4 PM. Had the house salad with shrimp. Plenty of shrimp (was told they were grilled but it seemed more like pan cooked and just barely to the point of being fully done) but for $20 the rest of the salad didn't really wow me. The jicama was 2 huge pieces that I had to cut with a knife (guys, it's so much better shredded on a salad, or, at least chop it a bit!). The crispy strips of chip got soggy very quickly as they were hidden under other ingredients. I ordered a side of refried beans and that added a lot of flavor. Don't get me wrong, the food was fresh and that's very important, it just wasn't done as well as it could have been. My dining partner had the duck tacos which he says are the only reason he patrons the restaurant. I had a small piece of duck and it was very flavorful. The house frozen margarita was full of fresh lime (I could see the pulp) so it was on the tart side which made it refreshing. The tomatoes in the salsa must have been previously frozen because that's the only reason I can think of that would give them the slightly chewy texture that they did. Would I go here again? I'd give it a second shot and try something else, but there are plenty of other options in the area that I'll try first.
Somewhat disappointed after my visit to Dos Locos recently. the food was just "okay" this time. We shared a crab quesadilla, which did have lots of crab (of course, this is the most important ingredient), however, it also contained an unripe tomato slice and just a sprinkling of cheese. It just did not seem to have the same attention paid to it as in the past.
Great service, very generous and tasty platters (each could have been shared), fun evening with a family of seven (two kids), great place at the beach. Can't emphasize too much our great waiter. Only downside was the excessive noise from the next table. Not Dos Locos' fault. But when you serve large tables of families and friends you should expect someone in the place won't keep their conversation at their own table.
