Love coming here to enjoy summer nights. The atmosphere is energetic which is great; but the service is beyond SLOW. We thought it was just with us but we started to hear the tables around us complaining that it was taking way too long to receive food, drinks, or their server to come back to the table. I hope the restaurant figures this out because it's a great place to go.

Great being near the water. Great wedge salad and steamed clam appetizer. Decent fish fry too. The only thing we weren’t crazy about was the music piped in and outside. Enjoyed sitting in comfy seats outside with our after dinner drinks enjoying the lake view but not the tunes.

I took my daughter to dinner here for her birthday. We sat outside on the porch. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who directed us to our table. Our waitress “Amanda” was also friendly and very attentive to our needs. We ordered drinks and relaxed and chatted a bit before ordering appetizers and our dinners. We had 2 crab cakes which were generous in size and delicious. The “bang bang shrimp” were almost as good as the ones that made Bonefish Grille famous. We split a LARGE Caesar salad. Even 1/2 was a generous salad!! I had the salmon for dinner, and my daughter the shrimp po boy. Did I say how great the wine list is? Excellent reds and whites to choose from. Both dinners were cooked to perfection. For dessert we had the chocolate brownie. It went perfectly with a glass of Josh Cabernet. After dinner we sat on one of the comfortable couches and finished our wine watching the waves roll in and a gorgeous sunset. What a memorable evening.

The hostess was wonderful. The outside bartender had a poor attitude. Service was slow, especially since they weren’t busy. However our server was very nice. My chicken and bacon was charred. My friend loved her fish tacos and my husband mushroom burger was delicious. All in all we had a nice time, wonderful view of the water, wanted to stay for drinks by the water and just relax.

We have eaten there twice and have had to wait 45 minutes for our food twice. My wife's shrimp on grits was terrible, it must have sat there for the 45 minutes Under The Lights

4th time. Always a problem getting the table you want. Were told they were booked up. The 2 tables we requested were still empty when we left. The music in the dining area way to loud. The restaurant was maybe 2/3 full. Second time they just changed the wine of my wife's second round. They were out of the sparkling wine she had originally had. Didn't bother to ask which other she preferred. Also she had given the waitress the alternative. The server didn't even remember what she was supposed to serve. 2nd time trying the fish fry. No taste. The best part the coleslaw. Frys were not hot. Limited menus. Not going back.

I am a Hugh fan of Lucia’s on the Lake and Hooked and had a level of expectation based on the food and service I’ve always received at those restaurants. Some of the menu items were the same description as those atLucias, but did not duplicate what was served at Lucia’s. The wedge salad was a cheapened version for the same price. The scallop and salmon entrees did not have the presentation or quality of Lucia’s or Hooked. The scallops were smaller and the starch was bland. Again the presentation and preparation of the Bang, Bang Shrimp was lacking. Our server was not attentive and we waitlisted multiple times for requests. The strawberry shortcake dessert was melting off the small serving plate and a hair was found in it. We could not get the servers attention for 10-15 minutes to inform her. I had to ask multiple times for a water refill and towards the end never got it. At Lucia’s and Hooked, the servers and buss boys were constantly refilling water and picking up glasses and dishes in a timely manner. Not so at DOS. I had been waiting to return there after the change in menu but was disappointed. I know they are not the higher end restaurant like Lucia’s or Hooked, but they still have a ways to go on presentation and service to be on the standard I’ve always been afforded at Lucia’s and Hooked.
