Kampen hat seine Mitte zurück. Der „Dorfkrug“ ist wieder eröffnet. Moderner geworden mit neuen Pächtern, neuem Küchenkonzept, neuen Möbeln und neuem Schwung – aber mit der alten Seele.
Der "Dorfkrug" ist nicht einfach ein weiterer gastronomischer Betrieb, es ist das Herzstück in einem Ort, in dem eben nicht nur zeitweise die vermeintlichen Schönen und Reichen logieren, sondern in dem es noch gut 300 echte Einwohner gibt, die zudem ein reges Gemeindeleben führen.

Das Essen ist hervorragend wie immer in einem schönen Ambiente. Leider gab es kleinere Probleme beim Service: Ein nachbestellter offener Wein kam nicht an obwohl auf der Rechnung ausgewiesen, wir haben verzichtet nachzuordern da der Haupgang bereits beendet war, ein bestellter Nachtisch kam mit Verzögerung doppelt , statt georderten doppelten Expresso kam nur ein einfacher. Da mehrere freundliche Bedienungen zustaendig waren scheint es Koordinationsprobleme zu geben

It was my birthday, which I had also mentioned when making the reservation. The food was excellent, and the ambiance was very pleasant. Unfortunately, our main course was forgotten, which caused a bit of a delay. I completely understand that things like this can happen, especially during high season. What I did find disappointing, however, was that we weren’t allowed to order dessert and were instead asked to vacate the table for the next guests. We were a group of three and had spent 600 euros in just two hours. Being asked to leave without any attempt to offer a solution felt quite disheartening, especially on my birthday and it’s not being our fault. It wasn’t the experience I had hoped for.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Dorfkrug in Kampen essen. Das Essen und der Wein waren ausgezeichnet. Auch der Service ist hervorragend. Die Preise sind allerdings etwas überzogen.

Food soso at best. They smoke outside which is unpleasant. Way better price value in other places on the island (even if not so many).

Très belle expérience dans l'un des quartiers les plus prisés de Sylt. Une belle atmosphère et des plats au goût du jour. Décoration et service soignés.

Es war ein sehr feines Essen, um einen trüben Tag zu verschönern. Die Bouillabaisse sowie das Iberico-Kotelett waren von excellenter Qualität. Auch alle Beilagen sowie das Eis zum Schluss konnten überzeugen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Sossen, da ich Sossenfan bin. Sowohl der Brotaufstrich, die Aioli als auch die Pfeffersosse und v.a. die Sauce Bernaise waren sternewürdig. Gerne wieder!
