Doppio Zero in Cupertino is a modern pizzeria, restaurant and bar that specializes in authentic Southern Italian cuisine. The restaurant's interior is spacious and stylish, featuring exposed wooden beams and large chandeliers. Doppio Zero uses the freshest ingredients and a wood-fired oven to create each of its pies. The kitchen is headed by Master Pizzaiolo Alberto who made pizza in Naples, Italy for two decades before coming to California. Begin the meal with a small plate like Tonno marinato, potato croquette with gruyere cheese, leeks and truffle fondue sauce, burrata cheese with bell peppers, sundried tomato and parsley or the antipasto casareccio for two. For the main course, Doppio Zero offers a variety of sandwiches, pasta dishes, entrées, red pizzas, white pizzas, house specials and sides. Try the salmone alla griglia, spaghetti bottarga or the porchetta sandwich made on homemade pizza bread and served with French fries.

                                                                                                        I took a friend to lunch who actually recommended it.....I loved it meatball sandwich was great and salad....we split both a very loud young woman was 2 tables away....she never shut up which was annoying at night i took my bf.....we had ravioli and a pizza....they were terrific we will want to try happy hour for an early evening. servers were not terrific i really can recommend this and we will go with friends loved the wright up in the mercury news too it was accurate

                                                                                                        First time to Doppio Zero. The baby octopus salad was very good. My wife had the wild boar with linguine that was very favorable . I has the zuupo Di peace. It was too spicey for my taste. They could tune it down a bit. We will return for the wild boar dish.

                                                                                                        My family, friends and I have dined at this restaurant multiple times and will keep coming back. The people, food, wine and atmosphere are excellent. The pizza is unique and exceptional. It truly is pizza born of Italian thought and not the average American pie found on every street corner. Food is very consistent and the staff know you and go out of their way to make you feel like family.

                                                                                                        I am so glad they open another bigger and newer restaurant down south. I often go to their joint in mountain view downtown and love it! Great place to grab a bite before or after watching a movie at the nearby AMC.

                                                                                                        Dinner with three friends. All our meals were excellent; service was attentive without being intrusive. Even relatively early and before the restaurant filled up, the noise level was painful and would preclude conversation. However, a staff member saved the evening by suggesting the outside terrace where we could actually hear each other. I'd go back in a minute for the food and service,....but only if weather allows sitting outside.

                                                                                                        I think their food is by far the best so far of the new restaurants in Cupertino Main and the large block from Wolfe to Tantau off Stevens Creek. The guy waiters need attentiveness training, tho.

                                                                                                        We were a large group and had the opportunity to sample a wide spectrum of the menu. Appetizers (Cavolfiore, Caprese, Brussels Sprout, Croquette, Calamari/Shrimp) were all flavorful. The main courses were a mixed bag. Some in the group enjoyed their dishes (Tagliata di Manzo) while several complained of overwhelming saltiness (due to the red sauce used liberally on the Melanzane alla parmigiana and Lasagna). One of the parmigiana's was slightly undercooked as the eggplant was still stiff. It wasn't a huge miss - with a little more care this restaurant could become enjoyable.
