We were very impressed with the food, as we all enjoyed our dishes, when they were received.
We had ordered our appetizers, but was waiting about 15 minutes with completely empty, uncleared plates. Unfortunately there was an issue with our entree ticket, as the kitchen did not receive/or lost it. Our server was very apologetic, but it it seemed even after he brought it to the what I can only assume was the manager, we received no additional apologies. Given the added street of what restaurants are going thru, we did not push the issue, because when we did get out food, it was delicious.
Food wasn’t as great as we thought, only liked the spaghetti.
We had such a nice time at Doppio Zero. The food was fresh, very tasty and service was excellent. We will definitely come back.
Always a great experience at Doppio!
Authentic Italian food serving Neopolitan-style pizza with pasta choices that are not run-of-the mill. Ample outdoor and iddor seating spaces.
We decided to try out a new restaurant in this center. The calamari was a bit chewy, the brushetta, though good, was a bit soggy, however the pasta was good, and flavor just right. We ordered tiramisu for dessert, but it was too sweet and had more cream than lady fingers unevenly distributed in the bowl. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. He offered to do something for us to make up for the meal, but we refused because it wasn't necessary nor his fault. As for the ambiance rating, it was an uncomfortable environment because most people walking through the restaurant did not have the courtesy to wear their mask past tight areas of tables as they were seated, and currently Contra Costa County has a high percentage of the Delta variant cases, aging not the restaurant's fault but I guess given the health circumstance, they could ask patrons to wear them while walking through the restaurant.
The food here is amazing. Love the pizza , the pasta dishes, the appetizers…. it's all fantastic.. Plus a good wine list and great service makes this one of our favorites.
Food was really good. Appetizer portions are a little small for the price but they were good. Entrees were good also. Only thing I disliked was having to scan the code on the table to get the menu, but those are the times we are in.
Good good, not out of this world bet decent. Table service was very good, greeting and getting seated - not so much. Beautiful finishes but slightly noisy inside. Outside dining area looked very nice and would probably have been a little quieter. I do wish large restaurants would routinely install sound absorbers. Parking is hideous in the shopping center where this restaurant is.
Family dinner. Excellent food and excellent, attentive staff.
Good value! Nice ambiance with great pizza, good lasagna and steak, decent burrata. Almost top place but without top dollar!
You haven’t had pizza until you come here! Everything we had was excellent! The calamari appetizer, the brussel sprouts, the octopus appetizers were delish. The oxtail pasta was my favorite, so tasty. The squid ink pasta with seafood was also delicious. Seafood fresh and not fishy. Both pastas were perfect al dente. That’s important to me. Most American Italian places overcook their pasta. So disappointing. Everything was fresh! Just like in Italy. I hope it remains this way. Our waiter was very charming and attentive even though they were busy. I highly recommend for anyone who appreciates good food.
Excellent food. Authentic Italian cuisine. Perfect service and really nice restaurant. Anything on the menu is excellent.
Indoor dining can get a bit loud on a busy weekend with dinner crowds. On a nice day outdoor patio dining is the way to go for lunch or dinner. Staff is always attentive, friendly and provides excellent service! This is our favorite go-to for Italian food. Wished they'd have frequent diner programs because we are definitely quickly becoming "regulars." Thank you Doppio Zero as always for good food and enjoyable dining experience!
good food, good time. Pizza is outstanding an amazing italian pasta!
They were very nice, clearly suffering from the general employment shortages, but managing it well. My food was fine, but I'd give this half a step above Olive Garden. I was not wowed, and my daughter said the salami tasted like bologna... Which it kinda looked like. We all liked the bruschetta. MIGHT go back for apps.
Really good food. Stand out was the Doppio Zero pizza and the croquettes.
I love pizza and am Italian and have been to southern Italy your pizza was mushy and the crust had no flavor. The mozzarella was high quality. I had to eat it with a fork and the toppings slid off. Only people who haven’t had real pizza would order it again. It was my first time to your restaurant and I may not come back. Very disappointed 😔
This place was amazing! Took my friend for her birthday, and the service was absolutely impeccable. I ordered the seafood pasta, which came in hot and had great portion sizing. We decided to sit outside, and there was nice ambience as well as umbrellas shading us from the sun. Complimentary bread was a plus. 10/10 experience!
The food was absolutely delicious! The service amazing & thoughtful.
Been in this restaurant a few times, Food was really good.
Innovative Italian fare; nice atmosphere. Right-sized desserts -- not 2000 calorie bombs :)
amazing server Pedro
made great recommendations
kept up with all of our requests
Doppio is a great Italian restaurant. The octopus, truffle fries and the branzino are amongst the best dishes. Service is great. The decoration is subtle, with light colors which along with the music create a relaxing ambiance.
For the price we paid, over 100 dollars it was not worth the food or service. I went to Puesto next door, got more food and better service and paid less than that. Our server didn’t greet us until being there about 15 minutes. Our drinks didn’t come out for another 20 minutes and we wait almost another 45 minutes for the food. I got the lasagna and was extremely disappointed. The cheese and pasta on top was hard like it was an old piece. Definitely not fresh. I honestly think a microwave lasagna from Safeway would have tasted better. Lastly, our server not checked in on us after drinks or food, never offered refills. Super disappointed in this experience and will never be returning or referring friends to try it out.
The food was excellent! Drinks were delicious. Service was on point! Didn’t love the soccer fans screaming at the bar. Otherwise amazing experience and looking forward to coming back.
Service could have been much better especially with not many customers. We ordered a bottle of champagne and I had to ask for a bucket with ice to keep it cold. Great servers should know that. Additionally, once our food comes out the server should round on the table to ensure everything is to our standard and if we need anything else. We had to ask for her multiple times.
This restaurant has a very nice outdoor patio, somewhat secluded, with good spacing between tables. Service is very attentive and timely.
The menu offers a good selection of many Italian favorites but each with a more modern/creative twist. You can make a meal of starters/small plates- octopus, or try one of their unique pizza's such as Doppio Zero Pizza with fresh Burrata or the Lasagna. All very good.
This restaurant is a welcome addition to the local restaurant scene.
Loud !! Drink food great
Very nice restaurant. Made a reservation at 7:15 on a busy Friday night and they actually got me a table on time. Unlike a week ago when I made a reservation in a different restaurant in Vallejo. I had a 7:30 reservation and had to wait for an hour after that. Doppio Zero knows how to manage their reservation system. Food was excellent and ambiance was nice. Only downside is that Veranda is so popular that parking is tough. They’re starting to crack down on people parking at Claim Jumper side.
Went for Happy Hour. Great small plates and cocktails. Awesome and f fr friendly service.
Our waiter was really nice. Food was good. Had a good experience with the restaurant.
Good. They had a special menu going for Father’s Day. I would’ve preferred to have been able to order off the regular menu, but the food was delicious.
The food was excellent with a wide variety of choices. Service was very good and eating outside on the patio is the way to go, very fun and the weather was perfect.
I noticed they were short staffed, but service was not bad. Food was good, but took a little longer for our food to arrive. We totally understand and we will be back.
First time trying out Doppio Zero and it was AMAZING! Super packed for a Wednesday night but then again everything at the veranda is usually busy. I’d recommend making a reservation and the pizza was amazing. We also got the calamari and truffle fries with a cannoli for dessert.
Food was great, the pizzas just the way they should be, our server though, seems like he was being over worked for a 12 hours shift.
