Salads at Doppio include arugula, Caesar, endive, Romaine and others. And, if you want a warm appetizer, try one of the soups, like the minestrone, pasta fagioli, lentil or tomato soup. When you get a pizza at Doppio, you can choose between red or white with options like a classic Margherita, caprese, pesto or prosciutto pizza, among other delicious options. Favorite entrées include veal scaloppini, veal Milanese, chicken picante and salmon.
Our daughter celebrated her Art in the district art show.
I ordered the carbonara, it was the best I’ve had in many, many years. Light on the cream sauce and pasta was exquisite, Perfect al dente!
Unfortunately we had a table of four that were loud and made the experience less than desirable. Wish the Manager would have asked them to keep their voices/shouts lower.
What a delightful surprise to find this hidden gem off Greenwich Avenue. Robust Tuscan wines. Robust portions of salmon and veal milanese. It's on our return to list.
Servers each had attitude
A little on the expensive side but it is Greenwich.
Great low key food and a comfortable setting, however the person attending to me was always busy on their cell phone instead of keeping their eye on the patrons. No major harm done, but I shouldn't look up and try and get my server's attention while their attention is on their cell phone.
The food is outstanding and that comes from an Italian American good cook. I had rigatoni with egg plant that I will most definitely order again in the near future. There were four of us and we all raved about our pasta dishes. Bravo.
