Throughout our years in the industry, we have been lucky to work with some of the finest independent producers of cured meats and cheese in Britain and across Europe. Our seasonal menus hand-pick the freshest ingredients, grown with passion and expertise, and sourced with a meticulous eye.
We offer boards piled high with mouth-watering cheeses, local breads & charcuteries and mezze platters with Mediterranean vegetarian options. We have then collected Jams, chutneys, pickled vegetables, fruits, edible flowers and heritage foods that bring colour and an array of flavours to the boards. At Door 4 flexibility is key. Whether you want to come in for a selection of boards to share with friends or just a glass of wine and some of spiced olives and nuts. We want people to interact and enjoy this tapas/board style of serving. This is food for drinkers, this is food to share, to fight over and some of it is food you will find nowhere else.

I booked a table for 8pm thinking they still served food to get there and be told they stopped 2 hours prior! No one stated this when booking the table, if I knew I wouldn’t have come as we all arrived starving and looking forward to eating. The drinks were good and overall place was nice but wish I was told what time they stopped serving food before booking the table

No table reserved on arrival, manager did nothing to resolve, no offer of drink or alternative offer...more likely that table was given to race goers...shame loyalty for locals is not respected over prospect of making more money from those who have been racing. Really disappointed, change in management it seems, really not impressed

Booked a table for 3 weeks in advance for drinks and food at the Jazz festival. Really busy as expected. Arrived, took 10 mins waiting at the bar to discover our reservation was upstairs. Squeezed our way to the bar, waited another 10 mins to discover people were sat at our table. Reserve sign on our table in plain sight. They wouldn’t move as had nowhere to go. We were given a tiny table for two at the window. Squeezed 3 of us round it, two had to sit on tiny stools. Took 15 minutes to get the table cleared away and be given menus. We waited for a further 15 minutes and still hadn’t been served. We queued at the bar and tried to order deli board and drinks, to be told it’s table service and we would be served shortly. We waited a further 10 minutes and decided to leave. Very disappointing, I live in Cheltenham so possibly will be back, however my friends who travelled for the festival won’t. Door 4 is a great bar for drinks and deli boards etc during the day. But they don’t have the room, organisation and management to deliver when busy. Which is a shame.

We arrived at our allotted time and were shown to our table. We were well aware that it is a bar and the table was adequate if a little small for 4. It was a little odd arrangement but we shifted it slightly to suit. This is where the problems began! We were asked if we wanted drinks, to which we asked for the wine menu. The barman reeled off some wines they had, to which we again asked for the list, as we really wanted to check what it was, not just have a Malbec or a Rioja! He didn't seem to understand this but when asked again, he did inform us that they had decided not to do food this week, being race week. Being race week, was why we were there! We questioned this and he said he would get the Manager/Owner to explain and then left us to it. We waited for him to arrive but realizing we were not going to eat and getting impatient as we were left to our own devices, we decided to leave. If they had at least told us this was their decision earlier, we could have booked elsewhere. However having not eaten earlier, we were now left hungry and nowhere to go. This was frustrating but made worse by one of the diners being diabetic and really needing something to eat. The total lack of communication and then lack of any apology was quite staggering. They should not have advertised food, if they were going to change their mind because it was a busy week and they were making enough money from drinks I assume. We knew the place, were aware it was a bar but the food offered appealed. We had plenty of other options which made this even more frustrating. If I could give no stars I would!

When we arrived and spoke to the gentleman behind the bar it became apparent that they had not reserved a table for us. The bar was now busy and we were shoved into an awkward space between the bar and the window. As this was a surprise outing for my friend birthday this was very disappointing. We ordered some cocktails and had some food all the while feeling a little uncomfortable. When a little while later we were asked to move as the area had been booked by someone else. There was no apology from the bar man, he was actually quite aggressive and just wanted us out of the way. I would say if you don't expect to get treated nicely when you book then it's OK. It did not live up to expectations and we felt very unimportant to them.

Lovley small bar. Friendly bar staff with good knowledge on local drinks and food. Onky let down was that it took over an hour for our empty plates to be taken away!
