Server was slow and inattentive, had to flag other staff over for assistance. We were a party of 4 - two entrees came out first, the appetizer ten minutes later, one entree followed that, the last entree at least twenty minutes after the first two came out. Food was fine, definitely not authentic, unless you consider tater tots and sliced white bread Indian cuisine.

Service was really bad, 4 different people asked for an order, they didn’t serve drinks until the end we had to ask for it. The food was below average. Also, they missed serving one of the drinks, and when we paid the bill they came with rumali roti stating Did you get rumali roti?
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Oh no, sounds like Aunty lost the plot on this one—and that’s on us. We’re really sorry your visit felt so chaotic and disconnected. That kind of miscommunication and delay isn’t the vibe we’re going for. Your feedback is loud and clear, and we’re working with our team to bring better flow, faster service, and fewer missed orders to the table (literally). We hope you’ll give us another shot—we’ve got some serious making up to do.

Delicious and inventive food, nice ambience. As others have mentioned, service was a bit lacking (2nd person's main arrived 10 minutes after 1st person's, took a while to flag a server down for a 2nd round of drinks).
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Thanks for the love, Andy! We’re thrilled you dug the flavors and ambiance—and we hear you loud and clear on the service side. That staggered timing? Definitely not how we want to serve up a night out. We're dialing in our team flow to make sure the experience is as smooth as our cocktails. Next round’s on point, promise.

Great vibe! Found the main dishes to be a bit too sweet but the appetizers were amazing. Highly recommend the kale chaat.
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Appetizers: nailed it. Mains: too sweet—got it. Vibe: solid! Thanks for the thoughtful note, Kripali. Our kitchen’s constantly fine-tuning flavors, and your input helps keep us sharp. Kale Chaat fans are the best fans—come back soon and let’s get that balance just right.

Music was way too loud. Aunty could have had it at 1/2 where it was and it would have been the energetic, young vibe they may have been looking for. Service was really not very good. Lots of different people came to the table, dishes weren't cleared. I don't see it lasting long. They won't reach a broader clientelle unless Aunty turns down the volume and picks up the pace on service.
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Yikes—sounds like Aunty cranked the volume and missed the table. We’re grateful for the honest feedback, Keith. We do love a good party vibe, but not at the cost of conversation or good service. We're actively working to strike a better balance (both decibel-wise and with our floor service) so guests like you can enjoy it all, without the stress. Hope we get a chance to earn your trust back.

Food was on point, service like others have mentioned could use some TLC.
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Shailaja, we’re thrilled the food brought the flavor fireworks—but you’re absolutely right, service should’ve matched that energy. Those requests were totally reasonable, and we agree: a little flexibility goes a long way. We’ve already flagged this with the team so next time, it’s not just “on point”—it’s on another level. Appreciate you helping us get better.

The food was good and spicy and a bit unique for the area. The cocktails were overpriced and it was way too loud to have a conversation. I think they need to work on the service as they try and push you out in 90 minutes but the orders take a long time to come out. The service staff was very nice and professional. I think they just need to work on timings.… And please turn down the music.
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Sanju! Thanks for the love—and the helpful notes. We’re all about that bold, spicy energy, but even Aunty needs to remember that timing is everything. We’re dialing in our flow to make those 90 minutes feel generous, not rushed. And yes, the music volume note is officially on our radar. Appreciate the real talk and can’t wait to welcome you back.

It was an ok experience. I feel lots of room for improvement in such a great space and location with limited competition in Boston!
Don’t Tell AuntyResponded 7 days ago
Hey Theo—appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to share your honest thoughts. You’re right: we’ve got a prime spot, a bold concept, and room to grow. We’re working hard behind the scenes to level up every part of the experience—because good isn’t good enough for Aunty. We’d love to see you again once we tighten things up.

The service at this place is so bad for the price you pay they don’t even give you full size plates to eat entrees.
