Although we made the reservations many weeks ago requesting outside seating, I was surprised and disappointed to receive a phone call 3 hours before our reservation notifying me that we would be inside. the woman said they did not take outside reservations via Open Table,and their igloos had all been booked. I would have expected a call the day after the reservation was placed at which point we could have either booked the igloo or made other arrangements. She assured me that everything was set up inside for covid appropriate protocols. However, we could not see any such adjustments and the tables were quite close together.

The service was slow and highly erratic. I would rate the food as acceptable but very mediocre. We chose the Pomeroy as both my husband and I used to frequent it in times past. We had many fond memories of excellent meals and enjoyable evenings. Although we enjoyed the company of our friends, we all felt it was a disappointment.

It was everything we hoped it would be and exceeded expectations.

Everything was amazing, service to start was one of the best, food and drinks were on another level as well. Also at the end they took their time to check and see it was our anniversary and brought us a huge delicious eclair with a lit candle in it to share... overall one of the best places I’ve been to!

The food is outstanding here. The service is always top notch as well. Make sure if you go order the Large eclair. It is huge and filled with tons of custard and coated in amazing tasting chocolate.

If you haven't been & aren't used to fine dining, GO HERE. I am not one for fine dining all of the time but this place is always a treat when I go. & they have perfect portions so you can enjoy a 4 course meal and be comfortably full afterwards. Can't wait to go back again soon.

What an awesome establishment! Food never disappoints. The lobster crab dip with asiago cheese was to die for. The pita chips were deep fried and delicious. The filet was cooked perfectly and melts in your mouth. Will be back soon!

On a whim there was an opening on a Friday night. It's been over a year since we've been here. So delicious. The filet was in point. Service was so delightful. We will be back soon

This is my favorite restaurant in the Cleveland area. Amazing food that is perfectly prepared and presented! Service is outstanding - from Jennifer at the front desk to Tammy our server, to others who stopped by! And they always are so generous when we celebrate an occasion, where we enjoyed a huge éclair as dessert, and one to go home. Thanks!

Don's Pomeroy offers consistently excellent food in an upscale environment. They have been around for over 50 years so you know they are doing things right. Highly recommended. Seafood is always the freshest!

Always have a great dinning experience at Don’s Pomeroy House. Food was excellent as was the service.

Later lunch in Library room. Social distancing set up was well spaced. Tuna and Walleye lunches were prepared as ordered. Service was very friendly and responsive, but not intrusive. Still serve gratis birthday eclair and was cheerfully packed for take home treat since we were full. Consistently reliable with diverse menu to satisfy most.

Great Service, beautiful and delicious food! Perfect relaxing environment on a cold snowy day. Little pricey, but worth it for a little splurge on yourself. HIGHLY recommend the bread pudding for dessert!

Five stars all around. It was my first time here and will definitely be back. Megan gave outstanding service. The food was delightful and fresh. Scallops with lobster bisque sauce?!?! Yes please !!!!! Wish I had room for dessert but after three courses we could barely finish our entrees. My bf said his strip steak could have used more seasoning and also was not evenly cooked (one side was mw while other was mr but we did not say anything as he still enjoyed it). Calamari was so tasty and the artichokes were a surprising addition. The French onion soup was *chefs kiss* and the grilled romaine had amazing flavor from the char. Thanks again!!!! With a 6PM reservation, seated without delay. Server Tammy was excellent, totally attentive without being intrusive. Pleasant and everything was served exactly as ordered. We both had the champagne filet and lobster tail as we have had it before and it was/is superb. Filets were perfectly done as ordered and the lobster tails were succulent and also cooked perfectly. Sides of fingerling potatoes and asparagus also delicious. Creme brulet for desert the perfect finish. A bottle of Kendall-Jackson Sauvignon Blanc paired with the meal nicely.
We have never been disappointed at Don's Pomeroy House, quite the contrary, we have always been delighted with the meals, service and atmosphere.

I had left a tip on my bill, but it seems not to have been charged to my account. The waitress did an outstanding job and she deserved a tip. Please check into this please.

Awesome dining experience for my brother's 18th birthday. Food was amazing, wonderful service, and the PERFECT venue. Also, they surprised him with a complimentary dessert with a candle. Keep it up!! All I can say is WOW.

Don's Pomeroy House is a very romantic & nostalgic step back in time! It's quiet & dimmed perfectly for an intimate dining experience! All the different rooms are quaint & calming! The service is impeccable! And the food is amazingly delicious! We dined in the restaurant but will be going back to dine in the pub downstairs very soon!
