Donna’s is an all-day restaurant that starts off with breakfast sandwiches then transitions to lunch with a menu of sandwiches, salads, & small dishes. For dinner, the focus is on shared, family-style plates with a diverse influence of seasonal offerings. To accompany the food, we offer a wide array of beverage offerings, from natural wine, to cocktails & local beers. We accept reservations & walk-ins. Love Donna’s and always enjoy the food. A couple notes about the current menu. There are so many dishes on bread. We went with a group of 4 and basically ordered the full menu minus a few dishes and so much of it is served on bread or a cracker. Both the pea salad and green salad are 10/10. The mackerel is 10/10. The snapper was delicious but the dish was over salted. We got the steak and it was thin, tough and just not that great. I’ll still be back and enjoyed it. Just felt there was too much of the same with the bread dishes and steak was a let down.

Had a good time with the $85 dollar deal, got the chance to experience the whole menu. And is was really good really fresh the only not good dish was the stake. But the sea food and the greens shine at this dinner

A great restaurant for fresh, interesting plates and good vibes. An example of the good service - a dish arrived at our table that we didn’t order and they let us have it on the house and quickly fixed the error by a quickly prepating the dish we actually ordered.

Very cute restaurant with homey vintage vibes, fun playlist, and overall good food with a quirky twist. Oysters are outstanding, as are the fish cake and desserts (sticky toffee pudding and buttermilk panna cotta with stewed rhubarb). I loved the presentation and concept of the strip steak with olives, leeks, and ramps, but the execution could be refined.

We love Donna’s! Food was excellent and lots of spring touches from ramps to rhubarb. The one thing we struggled with was the noise level. We were there on a Tuesday night and the place was packed with a large group in the back. This impacted the noise and slightly impacted the service level for us. Excited they are doing well but noise was a challenge.

Donna's is definitely an unassuming neighbourhood gem. It has been on our list of places to try for a while now, and we happened to find ourselves at the Dufferin Mall and thought we'd take the opportunity. We were greeted promptly, welcomed in and shown to our table. It was pretty early in the evening, but already busy, which is generally a good sign. The decor is not overly formal, but still engaging, with the walls covered in local art for sale. The menu is compact, and from what we could tell, seems to be based on the principle of 'do a few things really well'. We had steak and fishcake. Both were executed really well, looked good on the plate and had a great balance of complementary flavours and textures. The chef had obviously really thought through the dishes. We finished up with dessert, which was as delicious as the main course. We will definitely be returning.
