Food is always very good. Service is usually good. It can be loud! Good kids menu options are a plus, too.

The night we were there seemed overly ambitious for the restaurant. They attempted some sort of wine dinner, live music on the patio for regular diners, and full dinner service for guests. Everyone working seemed a little exhausted. Even though we ordered in courses everything was brought at one time. Our server was friendly but just didn't have the training for that sort of busy dining place. All of plates sat on our table the whole meal, even our soup. We so love Donna's but just wish the quality of food would get better and the level of service would be more thorough...do the basics really well.

We ate here on a night when a lot of people were out of power. The restaurant (or was it just our server?) was completely overwhelmed .. and maybe understaffed from employees out of power? I had a terrible meal and was sorry I chose the restaurant. Normally I don't feel the need to complain about Donna's Cross Keys - clearly we came on the wrong day. Probably an anomaly.. maybe it's a lesson to expect a lot less during a power outage.

Donna's is always a treat for those of us who live in Cross Keys. The menu is always inventive and changes regularly although we do miss some of the old items like
Sicilian(?) Meatloaf.

A perfect night to eat at Donna's since my building at Cross Keys still did not have power.
I had been looking forward to their sorbet and ice cream yet they were understanably out of it so had a nice light dessert.
The service was good, especially bringing me water which was needed re the heat outside.

The food quality doesn't stay the same. It was better years ago. Not sure why they can't keep up the high standard they had years ago.

My family and I went for Father's Day Brunch. The pp price was $30 which was a little expensive for me, expecially since the variety of food was not at all good. There was very little to select from and the portion sizes were not enough for my 8 year old son. We had to make several trips just to get at least one serving of food. They ran out of several food items also noticed the manager going out to purchase bagels from Duncan Donuts. Would not recommend this place for Sunday Brunch but maybe their regular menu items are better. I would like to note that the staff were very accomodating and polite.

I would definitely head over to Donna's on St. Charles Street before coming here again. Food and service is so much better there, you'd think you were at a different restaurant.

My mom and I took my dad to Donna's - Cross Keys for brunch on Father's Day. I have never been more disappointed. There wasn't much space inside. The table that we were seated at had four chairs (one was a folding chair that looked like it belonged with a card table). The buffet consisted of two tables of food that didn't have much of a variety compared to other brunches that we have been to. These tables were so close that two people could barely walk between them at one time. There were very few breakfast selections. The bacon and sausage were very good. Eventually, they brought out an electric griddle {a $20 or $25 griddles from Walmart)to make pancakes on. There were very few food items that I enjoyed. I will NEVER go there again.

They did not charge for our nearly 2-year old granddaughter, so that ws very nice. The Father's Day brunch was pricey but very original and extremely tasty. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I have been asked how I like me meet cooked yet not often Salmon.
A great meal!! And out on the terrace was lovely!

Portions have gotten significantly smaller and prices have stayed the same or increased. Portobello salad was good not as good as the last time I had it. Chicken salad with pistachios likely a better choice.

We needed a last minute place for lunch on Sunday. Stopped in at this old favorite expecting to order a salad and instead ordered the Sunday brunch buffet. Simple. Not an excess of choices. But just right. How wonderful to find a great Sunday brunch under $20 in this age of $50 rip offs where you have to stuff yourself to feel like you got your money's worth.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Donna's. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress, Aime was fantastic. The ceasar salad was the best I have had. We each had fish and both were delicious. We were too full for dessert, but will certainly try that next time. We loved having the option to sit outside.

You can't beat Donnas for the creative and healthy menu choices that offer something for all tastes. Our foursome enjoyed our Outdoor dinner on a recent balmy evening - the eggplant torte on a salad of grains, the fried goat cheese salad, pizza with goat cheese and asparagus and Cesar salads were delicious. The server was not very attentive ( which is unusual for Donnas) but we had a very relaxing and satisfying experience.

We're fans of Donna's for lunch or dinner. When we had one in our neighborhood, we ate there several times/week. Now it's possibly once/month. We like the sandwiches and salads for lunch and this time enjoyed fish for dinner. We both had fish (trout and salmon) and enjoyed both dishes. We were a bit disappointed in the special Margaritas as we didn't think the drinks were particularly special nor did they justify the price. The dinner did, however, justify its price.

5 of us had a very nice dinner on a week night. Our server was terrific, knowledgeable and courteous; the food was very good, tasty and nicely presented. The restaurant over all has a very pleasant atmosphere and an outdoor option (which we did not take). Looking forward to intermittant week night meals here during the summer!

excellent diner, on outdoor patio spoiled as three differen tables with children (in the 4 -6) yeara old range were allowed to run about the patio. Bumped into out table/chair numerous times, and laughing loud and screeching as they chased each other. Families paid no attention to them. I spoke to our young man waiter, who said he would speak to famiies; but he did not. I asked to speak to "Donna" the owner who was there Sun.evening actually delivering food. She never came. I got up and spoke to the family with the two most disruptive children. They had the children sit for 10 minutes and then they were up and running again. Know that this disruped many many diners. Our food was excellent, but we did not enjoy the meal. Skipped dessert

I want to like Donna's, it's close, the deck is beautiful, but something always seems to go wrong, making me think it's not being managed well. Eg., even though we had a reservation & there were empty tables, we had to wait 20 minutes to get seated. We never got kid menus, though dining with kids. Then drinks, my daughter ordered a ginger ale, it came with a layer of grease on the top of it. Ok, stuff happens.. but then the food. Ordered the scallops and they were inedibly salty. Would have sent them back, but waitress disappeared halfway through the shift, so I ate the side dishes. Ordered dessert for kids and tea for me, kids were finished dessert by the time tea arrived. Wish they'd get it together.

We had 7:30pm reservations on Sunday 5/13 mothers day. We thought at that time, we would be the crowds.....but we didn't. Service was unbelievably slow. It took at least 15 minutes before we got our drinks and then another 20+ minutes before our appetizers came out. We even had to ask for bread. Not sure the food was THAT good that we would want to come back.

The food was really good, but in general, I would love to see smaller portions in all restaurants. We took half of our sandwiches home, and that is fine, but many people eat all the food provided, hence we have a big obeseity issue in our nation. Small portions on all entrees are what is needed.
