Very good good, great service and we all had s wonderful evening!!!
Wonderful trout was my main dish. Delicious veggies to go with it. Good, friendly service.
Easy parking. We'll go back.
Great pan fried trout and grilled vegetable with salmon
Easter buffet...items that were stated would be on menu were not and if you come after 1:30 it’s only what food is leftover. They don’t refill popular items after a certain time, I guess. Definitely one and done on this one. No plates either.
My family and I went for Easter brunch. We were one of the last sittings and it was VERY obvious. The "hot" foods were no longer hot because the sternos had gone out and did not get replaced. The desserts weren't adequately replaced either. I understand that they don't want to make too much food, but patrons shouldn't feel like they are getting the last scraps
Food was very good and varied. Although not as many choices as I've seen at other Easter buffets, the variety offered was superb.
The layout of the restaurant was a little tight in spots, making getting to/from the buffet line difficult. I understand the need to have as many tables as possible, but the setup needs to change to make the flow better.
Really liked the seafood options and the fruit desserts. We would definitely come back.
We compared this Easter Brunch to the Sheraton (Towson) where we went last year. Donna's was voted a much better choice by my whole family.
4/1/18, Easter brunch: very busy, but food stations took awhile to replenish, only one double waffle maker and one griddle for pancakes - the plug became unplugged several times. Wait for some food was awhile. One bathroom for a full restaurant and a waiting line. It was also quite cramped. Food was tasty.
The restaurant was very busy and had a big party under a tent, but our table for 10 was ready for us and everything was fine.
This was our third brunch experience at Donna's and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend. Definitely plenty of bang for your buck. Friendly and attentive waitstaff, fresh and delicious offerings and consistency. Still keeping my fingers crossed for bottomless mimosas to be added to the brunch menu! A perfect treat after our Sunday hike (nearby at beautiful Lake Roland).
The food was delicious and our server was great
Very excellent food, good service, quiet which was very nice. Perhaps a bit pricey..$12 appetizer, and $8 desert, two mixed drinks and two entrees $110 with tax. We've been previously and will go again.
Great! Grilled Veg with Salmon & Berger were fantastic!
The brunch food, esp. the salads, is tired. The brunch salmon was dried up on the edges, meaning it may have sat outside or opened in a fridge for a while.
Service staff is very nice.
The outside of the restaurant has seemingly broken equipments lying on the ground right
in view of the diners. See picture taken from our table.
The place needs attention, it has all the feeling of being on its way down.
This was our first time to go to Donna's for dinner. I had been there for lunch previously and enjoyed it. The weather was cold outside but Donna's was warm and inviting with its mid-century décor and lighting. The service was excellent and the drinks were inventive. There is a regular menu and specials with drinks, appetizers and featured entrees. With some help from the server, I ordered trout over the most deliciously dressed mixture of kale, dried fruits, and cheese. It doesn't sound like a familiar taste palate because it's not and I think I want one right now! I have gluten issues and everyone was very helpful in assisting me in finding things I could eat. The price point will happily surprise you. My only disappointment was that with all of GF desserts, I was too full to eat one! We will definitely be back.
Ordered burger medium, came out raw. Fries were oversalted.
Mussels and frites were very good. Great place to go before symphony.
Delicious and served beautifully.
Donna’s is one of our favorite restaurants! Never had a bad meal there. It’s always good from start to finish. The meals are fresh, flavorful, well presented and well sized. Most of time, there is enough for a doggy bag. Their cocktails are interesting and tasty. Service is good, but last time felt a bit rushed. Overall, definitely our reliable go to place for a nice meal.
A welcoming neighbourhood venue with good food and wine, a good relaxed atmosphere with an ambient noise level that recognises people like to be able to talk to each other without shouting and doesn't batter you into the floor.
We went for the recommended crab cake. However, it wasn’t on the menu. The food was good and the service was great. Really enjoyed our time!
Overall we really enjoyed our Donna's experience! The seating was a little tight and while we didn't love where we were seated, it wasn't terrible. The restaurant was quite busy as it's prone to be on Sundays so navigating the space was challenging but worth it! The food was really good and there was plenty of variety throughout the buffet. "Fresh ingredients" and 'well prepared" are two notable comments from my dining companions and I concur! I am looking forward to returning for brunch in the near future. My only real complaints are that the mimosa's were "weak" and that there was no bottomless option. That being said, I will definitely return and recommend that if you haven't been, go!
We've been dining at Donna's for years, mostly for lunch or dinner, and always very satisfied with the food and the service. This was our first experience with Sunday brunch and it was somewhat disappointing. We did not realize there was a buffet and found the inside dining room to be too crowded and noisy (the outside area had two private parties going with additional buffet station). My husband took the buffet and the food was very good, but my son and I chose from the menu, thinking we would avoid the crowd at the buffet table. It took a very long time for our food to arrive (about 30 minutes). The lamb burger was great, however, and so was the portobello omelet. Finalizing the meal and paying our check was a little confusing, as our waitperson was extremely busy. Think we'll avoid Sunday brunch and stick with weekday dining.
I wanted a special brunch to entertain my sister from out of town. I had not been to the brunch for a while and it was truly a special treat! The food was delicious, plentiful, great variety and the personnel were warm and helpful. It is a little pricey, but worth every penny!
I will be back soon again!
One of my favorite places! Food is always lovingly prepared and servers actually seem to care if you enjoy it. Plenty of gluten-free options and real willingness to create alternatives that work for special needs. The salmon was perfect and the short ribs were enough to take home lunch for the next day. The chocolate mousse cake was to die for!!
The food wasn’t the quality that it has been in the past.
Connected with middle school friend! Great time wonderful waitress!
All was great, but Open Table should have let us know that there was a fixed price menu.
I always enjoy eating at Donnas. Yje food is generally excellent and all of the people who serve you are pleasant and very informative.
I love the variety of dishes that are offered and the thoughtful way the ingredients and the combination of the vegetables and main courses are put together. It's always nice seeing either Alan or Donna because they great each customer with warmth and gratitude for eating at their restaurant.
Our Valentine's day meal was extremely good. We look forward to eating there in the future!
Great. Place to go with multiple generations. Looked like other tables also had dinner with grandma. Food is fresh and something for everyone.
Needed food middle of afternoon for 11 people; 2:30 reservation . They were great and waitstaff Teresa super!
Delicious! Strongly recommend the brunch. Great food for a good price.
We had the meatloaf (excellent) steak salad (Underwhelming as to flavor and amount of steak) and two pork belly burgers (several chunks of fat in the pork belly). Coffee beverages were outstanding as was the service.
Awesome meal with family and friends. Granny Smith salad with grilled chicken, perfect light, healthy lunch. Skipped desserts, didn't need the calories. They look great.
I was meeting an old friend who I hadn’t seen in years. Donna's offered us the perfect place to catch up. The server was patient and not intrusive. Once he figured out we were going to be slow, he let us be but was there when we needed something. Really excellent. The food was, as always very good, with the tomato bisque eliciting an “ooh, this is good” from my New York friend. Donna (and staff), you hit it out of the ballpark!
Food was great. Go to Donna’s regularly and it is never disappointing.
We got together with old friends we haven’t seen in years. The menu was great as everyone chose very different things. All the meals were absolutely delicious and everyone was happy with what they had selected.
The server was phenomenal: very pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive and friendly.
We had a great evening with great food in a friendly and comfortable surrounding.
My friends and I go to Donna's frequently. I love the calamari, and my friends frequently get the salmon and trout dishes. But there are also many good meat plates also. The food is excellent and moderately priced. Good job Donna!
Used Opentable to reserve a table for 6 at Donna's. I had never been there before so I looked up the address on Google maps and got the basic idea of how to get there. It was chilly that evening but found the place with little trouble and there was plenty of parking available right outside the door. The main entrance has a double door vestibule so that the cold air didn't rush into the restaurant every time the door was opened. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and shown to our table which was prepared and waiting. Our waiter was Griffin and he went over the specials for the night and retrieved drinks for the table. I ordered off of the specials menu and had the mushroom soup and the blackened catfish linguine which was very good with a little cajun kick. Didn't care quite as much for the mushroom soup but it was fine. The atmosphere was on the dressy side of casual but didn't feel out of place with nice jeans and a button down shirt.
Overall I enjoyed the evening with my family very much. I had a table near the door but never felt drafty. The noise level was very acceptable for family conversation.
Donna’s food is consistently good. We had apple crisp for desert that was outstanding.
Awful restaurant. Shrimp was spoiled. The waitress told me they serve fresh pasta, but she lied. Ruined my anniversary.
