Great place - excellent service, food, value. Hidden gem!
Even though we had reservations we arrived early and they seated us immediately. The waiters were amazing and the food was great. They even gave us free dessert.
Donna Margherita is my go to neighborhood spot! Welcoming atmosphere and excellent food. Whether just getting together with friends or a special occasion (I hosted a birthday dinner there a month ago) the service is the best
Perfect place for two friends to meet for delicious lunch
I went to Donna Margherita for the first time, and enjoyed a most wonderful and relaxing lunch. The space is so warm and cozy. My beet salad, gnocchi sorrentina and chocolate souffle were all delicious. The service was excellent and the prices most reasonable. Great dining option on the UES.
Always top notch! Hidden Gem on the UES!
The food was amazing and the owner was so nice to us. He made excellent recommendations and gave us a dessert on the house.
This has become one of our Staples. It is the best Italian food in the upper Eastside. This institution is owned by Sal and his cousin Enzo who are from Naples. They are extremely kind and use only the finest ingredients for traditional and innovative dishes. There’s an excellent wine selection. The service is wonderful and their outdoor facility is cozy but Covid safe.
For authentic Italian familia cooking
Go to Donna Margherita. Everything
Is good here. We went back two days later for lunch too.
Wonderful neighborhood place, where all the staff treat you like family every time you eat at the restaurant.
The best Italian restaurant in New York. The food is really delicious and the owner is very friendly. It was our first time here but we immediately felt at home. We will come back again. Strongly recommended.
Watch your wallet. We paid $77 for 2 salads and one pizza. And then were charged a fee for paying with a credit card. No warning anywhere - the fee just appears on your bill, where you are given the option to avoid the fee by paying in cash. Seriously? How many of us, in 2021, walk around with $100 in cash? Higher costs? Understood. Raise your prices. But don’t charge a fee, surreptitiously, which most diners won’t notice. It’s a scam across the industry and will only end when diners refuse to patronize restaurants which encourage it.
Excellent food. Great service. No shortcuts. The best fresh ingredients. Pizza if true Neopolitan and the best in the city. Other fares are just delicious. Chef Sal is impossibly great!
The chef uses top quality ingredients masterfully blended!
Wonderful local gem that keeps getting better. Fresh ingredients and authentic Italian fare prepared by chef Rosanna. Our weekend "go to" but also perfect for a special occasion. Will return again and again.
This is a cute place and we had high hopes in finding a new little Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. Unfortunately the food was awful. One dish was bland. The other overly salty. The eggplant parmigiana was the size of an appetizer and greasy. Appetizer of Crostini with mozzarella mushrooms and prosciutto was like something your kid makes themselves in the toaster oven. Big disappointment.
A real authentic Italian restaurant with a casual setting. Very friendly chef and owners. Loved it. Will go back again and recommend it to others.
A clubby neighborhood restaurant that brings Italy right to your table. Roseanna the chef is warm, friendly, and talented and Luigi the host is welcoming. A great addition to the neighborhood.
What a neighborhood gem. Fresh, authentic Italian food. Pizza was outstanding, as was the pasta.
The food was out of this world. Also loved ambiance and attention from owner.
Luigi and his staff are always welcoming. A real neighborhood find with excellent, fresh Italian cuisine...thin crusted, just out of the oven pizzas are outstanding (I'm not a pizza eater, but make an exception here).
Roseanne and staff are charming. The food is freshly prepared and amazing flavors and quality. The smaller space makes it intimate and overall lovely dining experience. It is our new neighborhood favorite.
Awful and annoying. They took our reservation for six people but wouldn't honor it and didn't even care-- no apologies at all. Just told us they didn't have a table for us. I would NEVER go here again
