My boyfriend and I stopped in Donetto's the first week it opened for a quick cocktail and after hanging out for a bit and peeking at the menu we knew we would have to come back for dinner. We finally did, and it did not disappoint at all! From the great service, well-rounded wine/cocktail options, to the delicious food with portion sizes for sharing around, we were amazed!

I apologize in advance for this long review.
If I could give Donetto 6 stars, I would. We went here for Valentine's Day with my sister and brother-in-law. It was one of the best meals that I have had in Atlanta. Chloe, our server, gets two thumbs way up. She was excellent and very knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance in the restaurant was very warm and inviting. Also, the noise level was very low. We were able to hold a conversation during a fantastic meal.
Donetto has a limited draft beer selection. The ones they did have were very flavorful. Orange is the New Crack is a great cocktail - my sister loved it. I don't even care for vodka and found it to be very tasty.

We started with the burrata, the grilled octopus, and the focaccia bread. The componata that accompanies the bread was AMAZING! I'd love to be able to purchase a container of that to spread on a sandwich. Also, it was the best octopus that I have eaten in Atlanta - tender with a nice char added for flavor.

For dinner, we shared several pasta plates (the raviolini, short rib risotto, and ripiena) and a whole fish. The black truffle flavors in the raviolini made it a particularly decadent dish. The risotto was very flavorful as well. We decide that we would have preferred to have whole short ribs instead of having them shredded into the risotto. Regardless, it was still amazing. Of the three pasta dishes, the ripiena was our least favorite, and it was still very good.

For dessert, we shared an apple crostata and the ricotta fritters. Again both were excellent. I will say, the fritters were definitely my favorite.

We will definitely be back. Hands down a great place for a meal with someone special or with a small group of friends or family.

The service is phenomenal! If any of the servers saw we were running low on water or anything else, they poured it. Chris, the manager is incredible! He was very sweet and he explained the history of the name Donetto. This was a fabulous experience and I recommend this restaurant to everyone! I wish they were open for lunch during the week!

Brought another friend who had not been and it was wonderful as always. Sarah and Allyat the bar did a great job for us. Hanger steak was spot on! Y’all know you’re our fave place- Carrie Neal Walden

Restaurant staff could not have been nicer, and loved the space. We were there for lunch before we went to the Fox; we ordered the larger portions to have leftovers. Honestly, the meal was good, but not fabulous. Portions were too small for the money, and ravioli barely warm. Probably won’t go back,.

Overall, a great experience. The bar staff and our server were great, but the cordiality of the hostess was pointedly absent to day the least. Don’t count on getting seated anywhere near your reserved time. The food and service made up for a terrible greeting when we arrived.

We were seated 30 min past our reservation time to kick things off. The service was abysmal... told we would get bread, no bread. Took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine and a beer. The food was not hot and either too salty or not enough. There were no towels in the bathroom and I had to slam myself into the bathroom door to get it to shut. For this price point, none of this should have happened. Never going back.

Steve Palmer and Indigo Road has done it again. The food was amazing, we were treated like royalty, Chloe took perfect care of us. The staff effortlessly cleared the table through the meal. It was our last date night before my husband deploys and the Ribeye steak will be something he dreams of when gone. Thank you all so much!!!

I would highly recommending sticking to trying out the various pastas rather than getting a main entree. The raviloini is my favorite, and the spaghetti was awesome too! We got the market fish for the entree and it was just okay but seriously, the pastas are amazing! They have a good wine list too

First time we ate there and we will likely return. Menu was small with eclectic choices, but everything was really good!

Nice. A bit confusing because we had so many servers we didn’t know who was assigned to our table. But, really nice people. My mushroom Beef rib risotto was wonderful. My husband’s fish had way too much butter. It was just OK.I would still return!

The wait staff have too much of a canned opening -- starting to feel a little too corporate -- and this is only my second time. The language should be very different if you've been to the restaurant before - even if 2 other people at the table are new. There has to be a more relaxed and not so canned delivery. This is meant to be helpful; not critical.

Great food and superb service. Our server Ridgley was absolutely amazing!!! I can say that she is one of the best servers I have ever had at any restaurant. Period!! Overall, I would highly recommend Donetto.
