Came to Donetto for my fiancé’s birthday. Each dish wasn’t more flavorful than the last! Also loved the creative cocktails.
Great way to celebrate a 40th and 58th birthday! Our waiter was outstanding
Go for the pasta. Eat at the bar. We've eaten at this restaurant a couple of times before, but recently revisited it on a Friday night since it's in our neighborhood. We really enjoyed eating at the bar. The service was fantastic, and the bartender was great at suggesting food items, cocktails and wine to enjoy. The baby octopus appetizer had great flavor, though the octopus was chewy. We shared the all'amatriciana pasta and it was delicious and reminded us of Italy. The chicken entree, however, lacked both flavor and character. For a roast chicken, it was very pallid in color, void of any seasoning, and dry. Even a spritz of lemon would have helped make this dish more appetizing. We recommend sticking with the pasta—and the drinks.
Had friends in town and invited them here. Start to finish an outstanding event. Perfect and friendly staff, amazing food. Did family meal option, best value and plenty of food. Everyone left happy.
I feel like this is the best Italian in the city right now. Been to all the Italian places people rave about, and so far both of my visits to Donetto have been far better. The bucatini is incredible. And the cocktail menu is spectacular, which is key for me. :) Parking is easy, service is great, ambiance is very cool. I'm a fan.
It was our first time in and our server Alex went above and beyond to make sure our experience was AMAZING!
We got the Eggs in Purgatory and it was light, yet rich and very flavorful. We also got the spaghetti with bacon, egg yolk & parm. It was the perfect meal to have to the bottomless bellinis, which were only $10. The service was amazing, along with the decor. Can’t wait to go back.
I went here for the first time at the beginning of the year and loved it. This trip, I found the experience less enjoyable. Service was great, free parking was awesome, ambiance was cool but the food was not as good. I was in a party of 5 and most of us didn’t enjoy our brunch. My favorite, the lemon ricotta pancakes have been removed from the menu and replaced by an “Italian” toast which I found rubbery and lacking in taste. The egg scramble was good enough and the drinks were good but overall not worth the $36 I paid. Not sure I’ll be going back 😕
Superb! I enjoyed the meal I had there.
It was an amazing experience! The food was great, our waiter was fantastic and the cocktails were delightful !
Hostess sat us in undesirable table by door and was reluctant to move us though the restaurant was not full and never got full. Otherwise service was good
Great date environment
Fantastic! We will be back!
Sweetbreads were pretty good as was the bread we ordered with caponata and parmesan butter. The two pasta dishes were just fair.
I was disappointed with most everything except our server, who was knowledgeable, prompt and enthusiastic.
Had a family party of 5 dinner and did the Chefs Choice special. It was fantastic!! Great selecoabd surprises and the value was excellent. All of the chef choices were balanced and great portions. Dessert was funfiled with 5 different tastings. Great atmosphere and wonderful service by Cloe.
DOn't miss the focaccia! We've eaten here several times and had excellent meals each time. Recently our group of 7 tried a variety of dishes and everyone was pleased. Baby octopus, burrata, scallops, tagliatelli, bucatini, agnolotti, and ripiena. For dessert we had the chocolate budino and cinnamon bumboloni. The bumboloni was the only items not to rave about but it was still good. You'll love this place!
From the moment we walked in the door we felt
Best brunch in the city! Fabulous service! Food is incredible. Eggs is purgatory is my favorite dish!
This is a not to be missed restaurant. The food is excellent!
Buon gusto! Food was excellent! The service and atmosphere as well!!!
This is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta for food, ambiance, and people. The staff is always so kind and incredible. The food never dissapoints. I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Tried it with a foodie friend of mine for the first time. Service was fine. Food was good, not great. Ordered the olives appetizer which honestly was enough olives for 3-4 people. What is the point in that? Wine was good, but they're all significantly over priced by the glass in my experience. Overall I'd have to say Donetto is quite pricey for what it is.
Love this place! Althought I would love more authentic Italian music to be played. WHat they were playing during my dinner was loud hiphop.
Wait staff was excellent, the bar staff were knowledgeable and all were welcoming and friendly. Scallops weren’t as good as I’d hoped or expected as they were slightly bland and the accompanying mushroom faratto was a bit heavy, overpowering them, but overall, the experience was very good.
Donetto has helped us celebrate our engagement and our wedding night...they will be with us, for many celebrations to come! Chris, Chris, and Maggie are the best!
Super tasty. Maybe a little over salted on the pasta dish I got. Focaccia was my least favorite ordered item. Pretty bland for something I’ve heard rave reviews about. Maybe it was an off night for the bread.
All and all I give it a 90% rating. We will be back in figure!
Family still is the way to order, awesome presentation and a lot of food. Best tasting food i have ever had
It was me and my wife’s anniversary dinner and they brought us complimentary champagne to begin the meal! The food was excellent and the ambiance just enhanced the overall experience! Will definitely be back and soon!
Our first visit, we were treated so well. The tagliatelle was amazing, along with the pork chop. Don't miss the Burrata!
We love the AGM, Chris. Drinks are amazing , food is phenomenal. We love the ambiance.
The staff at Donetto were absolutely wonderful and made our anniversary dinner awesome. Food was super yummy and the restaurant itself has an amazing aesthetic. Will be returning.
FANTASTIC! Without a doubt, one of the most memorable food experiences I have had. They do amazing, amazing! Glen's pasta is so fresh and delicious, the service, outstanding. Can't say enough good things, and Indeed will be back.
Very hit and miss. Food was overly salty in all the dishes we tried. Maître D’ was very unwelcoming. Wine list was missing several listed wines. Service (Courtney) was outstanding though. Not sure we’d go back.
Marco our server was amazing! He did a great job hosting us and making our experience remarkable
Food was excellent.
Server/service was fantastic - all of her recommendation were great.
I was really looking forward to this restaurant. It’s a cool place and came highly recommended. But honestly it just wasn’t very Good. The wine list is reficuliusly confusion. The service was okay but they only have one salad on the menu. The entrees were limited. I had a pasta dish that was pretty close to inedible. Others had same feedback. For the money I think Olive Garden is better. Ouch.
amazing service. delicious food. incredible happy hour deals.
Fantastic all around experience! It was a little dark but that’s the extent of my criticism. Everything was absolutely fabulous.
My tagliatelle was very very salty...
Service was great. Quail sausage pasta was amazing. Steak grilled to perfection. Solid wine list.
