Food was served 1 hour after we ordered. Waitress disappeared and did not offered bread, chips, nothing. We were hungry. When she finally brought food, she did not provided condiments we were asking for salt, pepper, etc. Place was too laud. Food had good flavor but it was so little. Steak was as thin as an omelette. She offered 2 additons for plate, she just got 1 serving of tostones. Price was outrageous for this kind of service. Sorry, not going back.
Foods always good , just right space when your in a large party..service is also ok..drinks are spectacular! Moijtos are the best!
The only negative was the wait..... although we had a reservation was not expecting to wait +30min..... I will take that it was extremely busy due to being mother’s day weekend, other then that everything was Superb!!!!!! And out wAiter Willy.... was Delightful it is service like Willy that makes you want to go back.... just superb.... he’s definitely a keeper.... Muy exelente servicio 😍😍😍😍😍😍 . The best birthday singing 🎤 me encanto!!!!!
it was amazing! one of my favorite places! food its great and so is the atmosphere
I was so disappointment for mothers day i made the reservations which was my first mothers day off for a couple of years and called Thursday morning to re-confirm about Sunday if they had the brunch menu for mothers day and who picked up said yes, i walked in on Sunday morning 1130am expecting brunch and they told me they last min decided to do all day menu to accommodate the cooks, i was surprise she even said that to me, We drove from Lynn with my husband and two kids hungry ready to have brunch not lunch. Now i know i have to call and re confirm more them one time to check on last min changes.
Love this place! The ceviche is so delicious!
The server didn’t really offer much about the menu and couldn’t really answer our questions. He was kind of rude even. He missed my sister twice in collecting her menu and then collecting her payment. The side of fries was not worth $7.00. It was very small. Overall the ambience was cool and the food was pretty good. They just need to step it up on the service.
Good time as always at Dona Habana. I will be back soon.
My friends and I meet quarterly for dinner. I chose Dona Habana after watching Phantom Gourmet " Crazy Eight" on Spanish Food. We All order the fried red snapper, rice and beans and platanos maduros. The fish was fresh, seasoned and perfectly fried. Everything we had was delicious. It did get a little noisy as we finished dinner but onFriday night that is to be expected. Definitely going back!
Thumbs up all across !!!
Food and service top notch !
Wonderful restaurant!! Delicious Cuban food - everyone was so welcoming & helpful and wonderful place for a birthday celebration!
I must admit I had a little bit of hesitation when seeing that it was connected to a Hampton Inn & Suites but it far exceeded my expectations and I and my huge foodie and oftentimes a critic. The wait staff was incredibly friendly. And it was nice having our brunch to live music. Depending on what time you go you can get classical French music on the piano or a DJ. The vibe you get when you 1st walk in is very energetic, colorful and fun. You feel almost like you are in Havana. The skirt steak and shrimp fried rice were very flavorful. The fried plantanes was a nice appetizer. Ask for a different sauce if you don't like garlic. And the fruit bowl was also a lovely starter. We ordered 2 mimosas. I am personally more a fan of a classic mimosa or simple prosecco with brunch but they had a whole page of Cuban inspired mimosas to try if you like to add fruit. I got the Coco Y Pina mimosa. The only bad thing I have to say is that I wouldn't get that mimosa again as it was too overwhelming in coconut and pineapple flavor for my taste. Couldn't taste prosecco. Other than that, I would definitely go back and highly recommend this place! Thank you!!
It was great!! Food was delicious and fresh. Great ambiance!
Excellent environment, food and service. Will recommend it to my friends
Everything was great, except out waiter was pretty condescending. He was a little rude asking for our IDs (which i understand not wanting to serve anyone underage and feeling the need to be stern about it if unsure) and it felt like he did not treat us with the same respect as he might have had with an older party. Once we finished out meal and were sitting, drinking the last of our coffee and finishing up, he asked for the signed copy of our check which was just an unnecessary thing to do. It just felt like he was annoyed by our presence the entire time and wanted us to leave when we did nothing to deserve it. Otherwise the food was amazing and we had a great time.
I first noticed the restaurant from driving by. We greatly enjoy tapas and Latinx food. I was glad to see free parking provided and a way to make reservations for even a smaller party of 3. We went for my wife's birthday on a Saturday and arrived promptly for our 6:30 reservations. We saw a limited space with 3 open tables for 4 each, and some smaller spaces in 2 or 3 spots. Despite that where to seat us seemed a challenge that took about 10 min to resolve. When we asked about the open tables we were told they were reserved for a party of 8...?! They found a 3rd bar chair to add to a smaller table, cramped, at the entrance. By the time we were done...great food, great server...2 parties of 4 had been seated, w the 3rd table still empty. Was awkward all around. It was pretty loud...music mostly. Not sure there was the same range and variety offered on the menu as was online under menu.
Service was really slow. Waited too long for waiter, waited too long for drinks. Waiter recommended the deep fried red snapper which was a major disappointment. Dangerous to eat full of tiny bones. “Salad” it came with was literally a few scraps of spring greens. We were celebrating a special birthday and they did t even bring over the special firework dessert. Total bust. Will never return
Had seen other reviews that warned that reservations times are not always met, but was a bit frustrated to splurge on an Uber in order to be on time and then be told to sit in a hallway and wait
This place is beautiful! Came here with a large party to celebrate my fathers birthday. They were welcoming from the time you enter the reasturant and seated us promptly. The overall ambiance, music and vibe is EXCELLENT!
The downside food is good drinks are GREAT, especially the passion fruit mojito my absolute favorite. BUT 1) you can’t substitute ANYTHING! I mean not even exchange one veggie for another. You get exactly what you order so if you happen to have an allergies, sucks for you. We were told the cook doesn’t like to make changes. I think it’s a ploy to get pple to spend more money on sides! For the price of some of the plates, I’d think you should be able to make some adjustments (I’d pass on the fufu. Came towards the end of my meal and wasn’t worth it) 2) Although the waitress was very nice she wasn’t very attentive and I noticed that it was like that with most of the guest around. No one really checked on their tables to see how people were doing, if we needed more drinks etc. We were asked once if everything was ok. Again, this appeared pretty standard across guest at other tables. Customer service could improve.
I would go back for drinks and appetizers to check out the bar side which had really good music and seemed like a nice vibe. Overall, It’s a nice place.
Was really nice and fast. Plus Yvette was awesome. See you soon
Excellent, food was well presented and very good. Stayed afterwards for the live music.
Dona Habana was the right place to celebrate my birthday...good vibes and food.
The food was good and the staff was nice, it seemed like an authentic Cuban restaurant which I liked. The only issue was there was some problems getting us seated even though we had a reservation and we had to keep going back and forth between different hosts for about 10ish minutes before we finally were able to get seats
Our server was very rude and every time 1 person would give her an order she would peel of and without collecting all of the orders. The drinks were tasty, but not as strong as usual - left with no buzz. The tres leches is amazing!!!
All in all, I’ll stick to going in the evening - the day staff’s service isn’t as great
The food and the presentation of the food was outstanding, alitttle pricey but i believe many factors are cause of that. Hope that this restuarant can stay stay arounfd for a long time. Great for a date night!
Way too noisy/ music too loud. I was sent to front half of restaurant because I was a single. This 55 yo female eating alone did not want to be in a nightclub volume bar area. My order was not taken timely, then drink arrived tasting awful, after meal delivered. Food was great, bar drink was awful and bar tender tried twice, still failed. This was a very disappointing experience.
Loved the vibe. Service was quick and the music was great. It’s a bit pricey but overall a great experience.
Went there for a friend’s birthday. Reservation was for 8pm but didn’t get sat until 8:30, we asked for bigger table but they said it’s for VIP only or we’d have to pay $1000 to sit there. Ridiculous, because it was 8 of us and we needed a large table and didn’t want to be squished into a booth which we did. Our server never came, we have to complain. We ordered drinks and apps and it took forever to come. Then we ordered dinner around 9:30 and food didn’t come out until after 11:10pm which then the birthday girl left because she was too upset with the service and having been there for hours and not being able to eat. This was the worst experience Iv ever had at a restaurant!
I think that everything is about the restaurant itself and not their guests. The waiter was constantly pushing me to get my order. It was definitely annoying and disrespectful. I won't come back again. The idea if dining out is to enjoy the food and drinks and have interesting conversations. If I want to have fast food or a drive thru, I would have chosen a different option. Very dissapointed.
The what do leches dessert was not very good. Should have been a better presentation. It didn't look appetizing.
My first time and won’t be the last.. love the ambience and style, can’t wait to return soon.
Outstanding service, delicious food, great location and Cuban style atmosphere
The menu and creative spirits were wonderful. Our empanadas, salads, and seafood were very fresh, crisp, and excellently prepared. The service was excellent and also very helpful in choosing our mojitos and dishes we had not, experienced before. Great value and very warm, comfortable atmosphere. Loved it and will definitely return on our next trip to Boston.
Amazing service and amazing food. Really enjoy the atmosphere and drinks.
Great food, drinks and ambiance but the price of everything was a lot more than I thought it should be.
Great drinks! Great food! Amazing coffee!
Service could’ve been better. Waiter wasn’t really polite and seemed detached. Food and ambiance were amazing though.
We came for a birthday and the food was great. I had the fried snapper, and it was delicious. The waiter was EXCELLENT, the hostesses were less so, but all in all it was a great time and we will absolutely be back.
Had the best time. The food was great. The music was great. The servers were super kind.
