   Overall a great vibe. It’s a new place so I guess they still need to work on kitchen and food. The food came out not so fresh, and cold. It was obvious that certain things were pre-made long ago, so we could know they weren’t fresh. I would definitely go back for the view and ambience, as well as give them another chance!

   Our server Kaylee was extremely helpful and had an amazing attitude. She made my Mom’s birthday very special! The food looked beautiful, and tasted even better. I recommend the appetizer platter for the table.

   Great experience at this location,ambiance was perfect.The food was delicious and presentation Wow,looks beautifully plated!I love the colors. Our Server Rosa was great, informative and attentive. Celebrating my husband’s birthday and he loved it.We will definitely revisit.

   I must admit I was pleasantly surprised,the ambiance was dinner/club atmosphere but at our table by the corner window was perfect . The staff was excellent, but I must admit the food prep was great ,their ceviche and shrimp with garlic sauce was among the best we have eaten in a long time. Thank you Don Coqui you were worth the experience

   SERVER WAS ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOOD WAS QUICKLY SERVED AND DELICIOUS. WE HAD A HANDICAP CHILD WHICH HAD ACCESSIBILITY WITHIN THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT. WE WERE SEATING PROMPTLY AND DRINKS AND EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING.

   The drinks were A1 so far the best I’ve had in similar establishments just enough alcohol to get a nice time loved it. Food was also good and the waitress was excellent very professional looking and professional demeanor. I appreciate that you have a good size dining area and that you have several bar areas that is definitely great to avoid a overcrowding there was a lot of people but because the layout was great it didn’t feel like we were all on top of each other so great experience don’t loose that. Also for the amount of people we had which was 8 we ate apps and mains and drank a few rounds and the price point I though was excellent don’t loose that either ! Will be back for sure

   We had a great time celebrating my husband’s birthday. Natalie our waitress was very attentive and friendly , she made our experience enjoyable. I especially appreciated that they executed several of my requests when I made the reservation online. I was really surprised I received what I requested. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday a fun and happy night . Oh and let me not forget to review the food. OMG ! Delicious, from the appetizers to the main dish everything was seasoned to perfection! Tasted just like my abuelita’s cooking lol . This place is awesome would highly recommend if you’re looking for a good restaurant to visit!

   I rarely write reviews but this time I need to share my unpleasant experience at Don Coqui located at Edgewater. My reservation was for six people My first complaint, this place has a “dress code”, wearing a cap and a sweatshirt are not allowed, however; as we were waiting to be seated I saw someone wearing shorts, t-shirt and sneakers yet the gentleman at the front door made a big deal when two of my guests supposedly were not dressed accordingly. Second complaint is our server, he seemed annoyed, serious and was rushing us every time we ordered drinks or food. And last complaint was the issue with the lady who was showing us the pictures we had taken earlier, each picture was $20 and bought two. The lady claimed we took three pictures and we were paying only for two, she didn’t believe us and to reassure her we were not hiding the third picture each of my guests stand up just to prove her wrong. In conclusion, we spend a lot of money just to receive a bad service and to be accused of stealing

    Everything was OUTSTANDING!!!! The food, the service, and the ambiance. Every dish my family and I had was amazing. The empanadas were the best I’ve ever had. The Pernil was the best I had in a longggg time. I will be back!!
