Don Angie is an intimate restaurant serving up a modern ode to Italian-American cuisine by husband and wife chefs and co-owners Angela Rito and Scott Tacinelli, in partnership with Quality Branded. Located in the heart of New York City’s West Village, the restaurant’s menu reimagines comforting dishes from Angie and Scott’s childhoods, with distinctive twists, often drawing inspiration from their collective travels.

Shortly after opening, Don Angie earned a 2-star critic’s pick review from the New York Times and named one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants in America in 2018. Scott and Angie earned nominations from the James Beard Foundation in 2019, 2020 2022, and 2025. In May 2021, Don Angie was awarded a Michelin star.

Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: The rolled lasagna at Don Angie launched a thousand Instagram posts when the West Village Italian-American restaurant from wife-and-husband team Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli opened in 2018. It was also named one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants that same year, and the owners received James Beard Award nominations in 2019, 2020, and 2022. Ever since day one, the cozy, bustling dining room with classic black-and-white checkered floors and a curved bar has been one of the city’s most coveted reservations, with diners clamoring for said lasagna and other viral fare like hand-made, candy-striped buffalo milk caramelle and gussied-up chicken scarpariello.

This always lives up to the hype. This time we had the steak, lasagna, crudo and garlic flatbread. It was all amazing. The cocktails are stellar and the Nebbiolo by the glass is a fantastic glass of wine. Daniel the bartender was super knowledgeable and made the experience even better. Back soon :)

Everything was amazing, best lasagna I’ve ever had. I don’t think I could order lasagna again unless it is from Don Angie.

Tried the sourdough pasta and the lasagna, pasta is cooked perfectly and the taste was perfectly balanced nothing too heavy.

I had a wonderful experience at Don Angie's. I enjoyed some of their signature dishes along with a bottle of fine wine from Piedmont. The service was impeccable. Two standout dishes were the Buffalo Milk Caramelle and a side of Japanese Sweet Potatoes. However, the rest of the menu was just as impressive.
